Hi Everyone. If you're reading this, it means you want to know more about me, which is good because I like to share. Let's see, I'm a 24 year old writer who started writing because the voices in my head told me to. I would have dream after dream that would play on repeat until I would write them out. And that's how most of my books are born. It all starts with a dream. um what else? I'm a big dog lover. I have a little shih Tzu called Mikey who likes to pop up on my Facebook page during giveaways. I have a beautiful little girl, Allison who has started her first year of school this year. She loves reading just as much as I do and seems to enjoy paranormal too. Feel free to Facebook stalk me to find out anything and everything about me
Val's life is nothing special; she's still living at home with an abusive mother who spent her entire college fund, working two jobs, and plagued by nightmares and blackouts. It's about to get much worse. The morning after her 21st birthday Val wakes up covered in blood and accused of murdering the most important person in her life. The court releases her into her father's custody to live in his gated community until her trial. The community is completely closed off, walled in. It could be worse. She gets the pool house all for herself, she gets to attend the community's college, and she has 4 new, incredibly hot step-brothers. Once she arrives her blackouts get worse, her dreams become more intense, and there's a darkness building inside of her that scares her. Val tries to push her step-brothers away but she can't. They are drawn to one another and they may be her only hope. Her life has been full of secrets and now she's learning the truth. Nothing is what she thought. And why does it seem that she's being followed by a crow??
Untamed is the first book in the Sons of Hades series. It's a mythical new RH with gods, demigods, witches, and magic. Shadow Land is a fascinating premise; the world-building and history create a solid foundation for the series. The characters are wonderful. Val is a complicated female. She's smart, loving, and loyal; and though it might seem that she's too accepting because of the way she allowed her mother to treat her, she's no doormat. She's scared, worried, confused; basically overwhelmed. I have a good feeling about her for the future. The brothers, Jax, Zane, and the twins Cooper, and Carter each have established characters and different approaches to Val. Fun-loving Carter, quiet Cooper, outspoken Zane, and intense Jax. Val feels a connection with all of them and their time spent individually and as a group helps make the relationships feel natural. Hades is the wild card. I am intrigued by this dynamic. The side characters are a mixed bag; I wasn't impressed by Val's parents, Justin made me uncomfortable, Cassandra is great, and Nat is awesome. Each is vital to the story.
The story premise is so entertaining. I was unable to put this book down. It's definitely my favorite book written by Tamara White to date. The tension builds from beginning to end and the ending leaves you in turmoil. I'm not sure cliffhanger even begins to accurately describe the ending. So much is revealed, so much happens but we are left at a crucial moment. Everything changes in a second and I have no idea what happens next. I can't wait for more!
The poor h is 21, has an awful life, she's manipulated by everyone. She's been lied to, has blackouts, and can't make a good decision because she doesn't know anything. Unfortunately this felt as if the h was way too young, and it was very frustrating for me. It felt more suited to a teenage reader.
Magic. God’s. Demigods. None of it’s real, right? I hate my life. I was sentenced to remain on this god forsaken island, until my official trial could be held and the police could gather more evidence against me. The only upside to this whole disaster, is my new family. My stepbrothers have each shown me some semblance of kindness since being here and for that I am forever grateful. The whispers from the rest of the college continue to haunt me. I try to block it out, but it continued to sink in, breaking me a little more each. The blackouts are increasing and part of me wonders, did I murder her? No matter how hard I try to remember, the memory escapes me but the darkness in my heart is telling me it’s possible. As the darkness rises, I push everyone away, fear of hurting them too, but it’s no use. They’re drawn to me, just as I am to them. When power is unleashed, will Val let her stepbrothers save her or will she burn down the world around her in a frenzy of pain and fear.
Heather's Notes Ok, I liked this book up until the end. There is a cliffhanger, that is an automatic star reduction in my book. There is also no second book out. I really feel like authors should warn people. The story was enjoyable and will Val could be a little naïve at times, for the most part she stayed true to character. This book set a lot of things up for the rest of the series, and I will continue reading, but I will probably wait until the entire series is out, now that I know about the cliffhangers.
Val has made her own family with her friends after her father abandoned her and her mother was self absorbed and manipulative, Natalie seems to be her anchor sadly on her 21st birthday after a night out Nat has gone missing presumed dead. Her mum tipping off the police Val becomes the number 1 suspect, her dad comes to her aid as a top notch lawyer getting her bail in his walled off community.
Now i love any Greek Mythology, and parts of it has that intertwined but the only similarities to the myths we know is Zeus Poseidon and Hades are brothers. Still some interesting twists.
Val at times seemed an adult and others a child, she didn't really question anything just got on with it, after so many blackouts i would be demanding answers, she doesn't seem old enough to have sex she comes across as 15 rather than 21.....
I loved the whole walled off community aspect, im calling it at 3 stars
There were some parts that we slightly annoying, mostly feeling like things that should or could have been important being skipped over (like the whole kidnap part...yeah that was just tooooo rushed). But other than that it was really good!! Can't wait for the next one.
Untamed was so much more than I was expecting! First I should probably say that I love the story line. I'm studying anthropology and classics in school, and I'm leaning towards greek archaeology for grad school so obviously I love greek mythology. And that made reading this book so much better! Tamara reimagined the classical ideas of greek myth and totally reworked a perception of the gods. It was so amazing to read and I can't wait to learn more about her new world in the next book in the series. Okay, moving on to the actual story. Val was an interesting character. She lives with her abusive mother who stole her college money, so at 21 she is working two jobs to try to save more money to go to school while trying to deal with mysterious blackouts that have plagued her for most of her life. Her father thinks she didn't want to go to college because she doesnt tell him what really happened to the money. On her 21st birthday, her best friend goes missing, and with no knowledge of what happens but waking up covered in blood, she is arrested for murder with her mother leading the prosecution. While waiting for the trial she is granted bail and goes to live with her father, stepmother, and four stepbrothers.
So her brothers sort of hate her one moment then want her the next. I understood why, they hated her on principal, thinking she would be spoiled or crazy or something, but got to know her and realized she was genuinely kind and innocent and everything. But still, it seems kind of like a 180 out of nowhere. And I really didn't like either of her parents. Finding out she was adopted was so great and I really hope her real parents Hecate and Ares are better than them.. which from what little I've seen they totally are. It got a little annoying that they continuously took her memories every time she exhibited some power or someone messed up and said something they shouldn't which she overheard. It got a little ridiculous and if I were Val I would've been way more pissed when I finally got all my memories back. And Zeus is one crazy mother f*cker. He is seriously psycho which I love. Usually in greek myth Zeus is all powerful leader of the gods who everyone loves and Hades is the evil brother trying to take the throne. But in Untamed, thats just the cover story Zeus provides to disguise the fact that he's a murderous creep and Hades is the real good guy. Ugh I love Hades in this so much and I cannot wait to see more of him later on. I also love that the harem is made up of an uncle and his nephews. Its a unique setup, differing from the common all brother or group of friends harems.
Overall I loved this story and can't wait for book 2!!

A fan of Tamara White? You need to check out this book. Well even if you aren't you need to grab it.
Valerie, Val to most people, has a crisis on her hands. She is being framed for the murder of her best friend. The worst part is she can't remember what happened so she can't exactly defend herself. Especially not with the way the police found her. Thankfully, her father is one of the best lawyers she knows and he helps her out in a pinch. The downfall? She is stuck in a secluded, gated community with his new family. However, things are not at all what they seem and Val learns she has been lied to her entire life.
I loved the take on Greek mythology. I have always been a huge fan of mythology, mainly Greek, and I love how the author tied it in. Remember though that it doesn't follow the mythology exactly. The author added her own twist and make a great story out of it.
The plot line was interesting. I liked how the it slowly built up and bam! It is definitely something different from what I have been reading.
At times the writing was confusing. However, I think this was how it was meant to be. To show the state of the character throughout the book.
It was an even paced book. Don't feel like it was rushed or too slow. Everything played out like it needed to for the reader to get optimal enjoyment from the story.
I did feel like some of the relationships did not progress naturally. I was a little sadden to see some of the things happen. However, I can also understand how they could happen the way they did. I think I would have liked to see this go a little slower.
So many questions to be answered still. I can't wait to see what the rest of the series will bring. Especially since this one ended on a slight cliffhanger.
Overall I enjoyed the book. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something of this nature. I don't think they would be disappointed to read it.
Val has never really been normal. She's suffered blackouts, woken with injuries, missing time and no clue what happened. But when she wakes up from one with the cops arresting her for murder, her life changes forever. Her dad comes to the rescue as much as he can. He gets her out until trial but she has to come live with him, his wife and her four sons in this weird community. Now she's focused on new college classes, trying to remember what happened to her best friend and fitting in with her new family. The blackouts are still coming and getting worse. Along with these weird dreams. While she is getting closer to the brothers, there are still secrets pulling them apart. Will she forgive them when the truth comes out? Will they all survive until then?
This is the first book in this new series by Tamara. It's got a very interesting concept. I like the mythology. We have Gods, Demigods and witches. I wasn't hooked from the get go on this one but it did pick up as we went through. It was confusing at times but I think it was meant to be that way with the memory loss that kept happening. The world building was great. I think we get a great understanding of how things work and a good history of how it came about. The relationship building, well I wasn't 100% with that. We go from hate to love pretty quick which isn't too unusual when magic is involved but I think it was more Val's attitude toward it that threw me off.
The ending is where this book really hooked me though. When all the secrets came out and things all fell together. Now I'm definitely looking forward to the next book. Especially when a twist happens at the very end. That was like oh my gosh YES!
So over all, I say yes give this a go. We are all different and I know a ton of people who were hooked form the beginning to the end. If you are like me though and it takes a minute to get into, don't give up. The ending is totally worth it.
OMG, this book was amazing! It really was fantastic! It's got such a good story line and setting and characters. It was exciting to read and it was also really well written. I felt this author has really grown in their writing from the very first book they wrote and this book read really well.
I liked the main character, Valerie, she's not perfect and she's certainly unsure about herself at times but she also can stand on her own two feet without needing constant propping up by the men around her. She also has a few strong female friendships around her and doesn't forget them (it's a pet hate of mine when their aren't enough supporting female characters around the FMC). The men in the harem (and I think we meet them all in this book) are hot, some are surly and some don't want Val there at first, but I liked them all and it shows that they grow to care about her, but also stand back to let her make her own decisions. There was a bit if a surprise at the end of the book, I wasn't exactly expecting that to happen (although I had figured some of it out). I'm really looking forward to reading the next book in this series. I hope I don't have to wait too long as I really enjoyed reading this book, it's one that really clicked with me and is still lingering in my mind a good few hours after finishing reading it.
Five stars from me for what I thought was a brilliant read.
I just blew through this book while dealing with a Spring snowstorm. The beginning of the book was a little slow for me, I will admit, but once I got about 25% of the way through, I was instantly hooked. Definitely couldn’t focus on work or anything else, made shoveling go faster as I rewarded myself with more reading every time I finished outside!
I have to say this is one of the first RHs in a long time that I fell for each and everyone of the guys. I think I might like Jaxson more than the others but its super close. I cannot wait for more of her mysterious green eyed man (not saying his name to avoid spoilers). I loved this concept and I loved the twists and turns at the end. Some of things I could guess, Tamara did a great job with breadcrumbs but some things I did not see coming at all.
I know I am in for a huge book hangover after reading this (and a long day at work tomorrow with no sleep haha), but it is totally worth it. So many things I am looking forward to in this series, so many things Tamara glances over and teases us with (especially with the guys and their past/insecurities). Absolutely recommend this series and cannot wait for Book 2!!
WARNING! This book will leave you with a readers hangover craving for more!
Have you ever felt like the Gods have been playing you like a puppet? Ever felt like there is more to the world than what meets the eye? Then you will really enjoy this reverse harem story by Tamara White!
Untamed tells the story of Valerie, a seemingly ordinary girl who has moments of her life just disappear from her memory. But when her best friend is murdered, things she never knew existed come to light and she begins to see a whole new side of the world she lives in. With Gods the likes of Zeus and Hades, it's not too hard to foresee the war that is to come. But just what role will Valerie and Her Guardians play in it all?
Untamed is so very well written with a strong storyline, realistic character personalities, twists & turns, and some awfully heart-wrenching moments, it's not hard to see why I couldn't put this tale down! Can't wait to see just what is next to come in the Sons of Zeus series!
This is a very entertaining book by Tamara White that revolves around Valarie and a swag of support characters including four son’s to her step-Mum. Valarie is a tough character and pretty independent, she has had to grow up early and put up with a lot from her mother! The brothers are all so different, you have the intense Jax, fun loving twins Cooper and Carter and the outspoken Zane! Instantly they all have a connection and it is good to see Val with someone on her side! But then you add in Hades, he brings something different to the dynamic and it will be fun to read future books and see how the five guys fit into Val’s life! The supporting characters really help to bring this story to life, Val’s Mum is horrible and I just wanted to slap her, her Dad acts spineless at times but the best is Cassandra, Val’s step-Mum, who is a tough cookie and Val’s best friend Nat who loves Val. This is a captivating story that kept my attention from he very beginning and I can’t wait for book 2 and see what happens after that ending!! Highly recommended RH novel by Tamara White!
Loved this story! The MC Val suffers from blackouts and lives with her mom (parents are divorced). She then gets arrested for the murder of her friend. Her father (a lawyer) is able to get her released into his care until trial. Queue the 4 stepbrothers that she had never met and grab a fan at the heat that just entered the room. This is a reverse harem so the chemistry builds and you are not let down while reading the dynamic between Val and the guys.
From there you experience Val’s journey in a unique way. Since she suffers from blackouts she also loses memories from things you have read about. This was a different perspective but due to the setup of the book I didn’t find it an issue to continue reading the book.
The author incorporates Greek gods but with her own twist as the plot leads to the reveal of what Val is. The ending is a cliffhanger that left me on a emotional roller coaster just itching to get ahold of book 2. I would definitely read this again and will be marking my calendar for the release of the next book.
Read it in one sitting. This was a different take on the Greek mythology stories. Great world building and editing. The dialog read more like high schoolers interacting. The norm in the community is for adults to still live with their parents. While everyone were in their 20s the household dynamics leaned towards a parent/ child. The main character's constant blackouts were necessary to a degree but it became annoying about halfway in the story. To me it made no sense for her father to leave her in the dark after certain things happend treating her like a simple child. I kept wondering why everyone kept pushing her to trust her guardians when they couldn't seem to keep her out of danger. The bathroom scene was really hot but seemed out of place with the feel of the book which was petting and kissing. It felt like the scene was just thrown in there. Overall pretty good start. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a new RH series.
What a fabulous start to what promises to be an explosive and wonderful new series! It’s exciting and full of drama from the outset, to be honest I had no real clue what was going on in the beginning which in my opinion is great as I was learning things the same time as Valerie.
Valerie is a great heroine, she has no idea what or who she really is, she has a strength of character and at times, fiesty temperament and I identified with her from the outset.
I love the drama and action that is throughout the book, the storyline is well paced and extremely exciting and I neglected the housework as I could not put the book down, this is one of the best stories I have read and I am extremely eager and patiently awaiting the next book in the series, this is a book that I will read again and again and boy did it make me squeal with happiness
This book has a very interesting concept on the Greek Gods with the authors own twist on it that I really enjoyed! (it's the Greek in me and the history of our people thing hehe) Anyways if mythology is your thing then I would definitely recommend this book!! The story line was so entertaining that I was unable to put the book down. It's now another smash hit that Tamara White has written. And if you haven't checked out Tamara's other series you should :) The tension builds from beginning to end with the ending leaving your stomach in knots that you may throw your kindle. Everything builds up in a second and you think you know where its going then boom!!!!💥💥 The next thing you know everything has changed and what you thought you knew is now wrong. I absolutely loved this story and can't wait for the second book!
This had me hooked right from the get go and I didn't waiver once, there was mystery, intrigue, secrets, Greek gods and sexy men so what more could you ask for! Valerie's life implodes when after going out to celebrate her 21st birthday she awakes from another black out having appeared to have murdered her best friend. From here she is shipped off to live with her Dad, his new wife and her 4 sons, no problem right... wrong the brothers are all sorts of hotness and there is something weird going on in the gated community and she is having real issues with fainting often so whats going on? I just love how her relationships with everyone change through out the book no just with the brothers, you get to see her evolve as well struggle with her new life and how she is torn my the brothers and the stranger with the accent.
This book has a good premise but it was a shaky start to the series, IMO. It hit on one of my pet peeves...amnesia. For most of the book the heroine had memory loss and it was so frustrating to read. It would have been much more interesting if that element of the story would have been resolved in the first 20% of the book. That would have left a lot more development with relationships, her abilities and so forth. Justin didn't serve much of a purpose to the story. Actually, I resented the pages devoted to him because the heroes needed a lot more development. Their budding relationship didn't feel very romantic; although, hades shows real promise. Their romance could be epic but we have to wait for the next book.
All in all, I'll read the next book and see how things develop. I hope the heroine becomes smarter and much more capable.

When Valerie walks into her dad's house after being accused of a horrendous crime, she has no idea her world is about to be turned upside down and inside out. She'll need the support of those around her, especially her 4 hott step brothers, if she's going to navigate the twists and turns her life is about to take. Untamed is unique, creative, and all around amazing. The MC is strong, even in the wake of everything that is happening to her. The guys are supportive and protective, without smothering. The storyline is very well paced and it flows amazingly. Overall, I would say if you like fun characters, unique storylines, and hott reverse harems you NEED to read this book. Tamara did a great job and I can't wait to read number 2!
I picked up this book at midnight on a work night, thinking I’d just read a chapter or two. BIG MISTAKE. I could not put Untamed down. I absolutely freaking loved it.
White’s imagination and world building is brilliant. Her writing brings to life characters that are complex and believable. I have read a couple of White’s other works and was not blown away. When I started Untamed I did not recognise that it was the same author. I have since noticed that she is having many of her other novels re-edited, so I will definitely will be giving them another go.
Untamed gives us action, magic, Greek gods, mystery, hot men, and best friends, plus it is a medium burn reverse harem novel with some sex scenes. Give me book two already!
I admit I struggled with this book. The story didn’t flow well in my opinion. Valerie is celebrating her 21 birthday when something happens and her best friend is killed. Valerie is arrested for the murder and her mom is the key witness for the prosecution. She lives with her mom since her parents got a divorce years ago. Her father all but adandoned her but comes back to be her lawyers. She ends up being let out on bail to her dads custody. Her takes her to a gated community where she can do anything she wants including partying, and college (which is weird). She has 4 step brothers who all live at home ranging in age from 25-21.
The story continues on being very odd until the end when everything starts to make more sense. I’m not sure if I will continue this series.
This was a great start to this series and I’m 100% invested in finding out what happens next. I want to know more about this shadow island and the type of power living inside of our FMC. She obviously has a lot of growing up to do but I think with everything she’s be through she did remarkably well. I’d have fallen apart if I’d been dealt her hand. She was clearly in plenty of shock through the book and not entirely present but who could blame her? I mean...murder charges. Nuff said.
The guys seem great but I honestly want nothing more than to explore the uncle and what the oracles prophesied...don’t know what I’m talking about? That ok. Just means you need to read this! You won’t regret it.
Tamara has woven yet another incredible world and given a unique spin on Greek legends. A slow start to the story introduces us to the mc Valerie, her friends and a less than ideal home life. Wiz bang drama and she’s charged with murder and moving in with an estranged father and some seriously intriguing step brothers. Absolutely love the dynamic between all of the brothers as we see their different personalities and how they all build their own relationships. Also bonus dude comes along in the form of a hot uncle (step bro’s uncle, not hers), yes please!
This book is a must read and has left me devastated that I now have to wait for the next one. Can not wait to see how this story develops! #whychoose #butifihadtothenhadesforthewin
This is book one in a new series and is RH. I liked the whole concept of how there are gods, demi-gods, and magic all thrown together. I enjoyed reading the story line and I liked the brothers personalities. The fact that the MC just accepted her blackouts kind of bugged me. I mean I get it but at the same time, I feel like she shouldn't be as accepting about the whole things as she was. I'm super curious about Hades, I feel like hes going to end up being my favorite character. I can't wait to read the next book and hopefully get more of him. This story is super intriguing and has been anxious to get the next book.
Valerie is the main character. She has some great friends, which is good because she doesn't seem to have the most loving family. She turns 21 but the night doesn't end the way anyone planned. She ends up in a closed off community living with her father , step mother and 4 incredibly hot step brothers. Her black outs are getting more freq and secrets are never good. It is fast paced but not too fast. I was drawn to Hades, oh boy, was I... The ending... Just, no! I need book 2 now!!! If you like mythology, Gods, Goddesses, witches, magic, and a good story, well then you're going to want to read this book!
Riveting,Suspenseful, intriguing and will suck you into this story til the very end. Our main character Valerie hasn’t had the best life. She’s dealing with an abusive mom who stole all her college money and on top of that she goes out with her best friend and other friends to wake up the next day cover in blood and doesn’t remember what happened. Her dad comes to get her and takes her to his community that’s isolated to live with his new wife and her four step sons, from their we are lead on a journey of suspense where things keep happening to Valerie. A must read story that is truly phenomenal and I for one can’t wait for the next book in this series! I wish I could give more stars!
This was by far one of the best books written ever. Top of my list will be rereading over and over again. Will recommend this to everyone looking for a book to read. Unexpected plots and ending which will have me thinking about book 2 for a very long time. Valerie goes through a lot of challenges from losing her best friend And being accused of murder. Also has to deal with blackouts and being uprooted into a new home. Valerie trys her best to overcome and figure out what has happen to her best friend and to clear her name. But everything is not so black and white. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I have.
