It's Eoin and Angie's first Christmas together and he wants to make it special. But his dragoness is lacking holiday spirit and doesn’t want to anything to do with celebrating. Does Angie think Eoin is the type of dragon who could ignore her unhappiness? Clipping on his jingle bells and grabbing the mistletoe, Eoin is on a mission.
Annie Nicholas hibernates in the rural, green mountains of Vermont where she dreams of different worlds, heroes, and heroines. When spring arrives the stories pour from her, in hopes to share them with the masses one day.
Mother, daughter, wife are some of the hats she happily wears while trudging after her cubs through the hills and dales. The four seasons an inspiration and muse.
SO DARN CUTE !!! Title: Not His Christmas Series: Not This Author: Annie Nicholas Designation: Book 4 of Series, Novelette (Short Story), Paranormal Christmas Romance, NOT Recommended As A Standalone (To prevent possible spoilers, this story should be read after Books One and Two), NO Cliffhanger Reading Platform: Kindle Edition My Rating: Four Deliciously Cute Stars**** So cute! Not His Christmas is a delightfully entertaining Christmas short featuring dragon shifters Eoin and Angie, the couple from the first book of the series, Not His Dragon, with cameos from several other characters from the previous stories. Not His Christmas could probably be read as a standalone but to prevent possible spoilers, I don't recommend reading this story until after you've read, at least, Books One and Two. I love a cute Christmas story this time of year and Annie Nicholas delivers a fabulously entertaining little adventure in this quick yuletide tale. No spoilers from me but I will say this...A completely clueless dragon shifter who wants to surprise his new mate with a little Christmas cheer-Check! A beautiful, sad dragon shifter who may have a surprise of her own-Check! An endearing cast of characters-Check! A little angst and a whole lot of hijinks-Check! A delightful story with lots of humor and heartwarming romance-You bet! That and a whole lot more! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read. Did I like this story? No, I loved it! Would I recommend it? Yes, but only after reading Books One and Two, and only for adult readers. There were quite a few little boo-boos in my copy, hence the four stars rather than five, but nothing that distracted me from the story. Will I read this author again? Absolutely! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! This story is perfect for curling up for an hour under your favorite throw with a cup of hot tea. Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!
**I received a free copy of this story, with absolutely no obligation to review, as a little Christmas treat for being a subscriber to Annie Nicholas' newsletter.
I adore the "Not His" series - they're fun and light with oh so much humor. Eoin has a special place in my heart though as he's the grumpiest soft teddy bear ever.
This isn't something to read as a stand alone, prior knowledge of the couples and their history is important. We learned a little more about Angie here, but a whole lot about Eoin.
You will not convince me he's not a Hallmark Holiday romance guy secretly. He wanted a waving giant gingerbread man!
A nice sweet treat with a little heat (in more ways than one).
This won’t make sense unless you’ve read book 1, Not His Dragon. Cutsey novella/short story for a quick holiday read. BUT this desperately needed proof-reading/editing. It definitely took away from the story.
NOT HIS CHRISTMAS is the fourth book in the Not This series, a short Christmas story featuring Angie and Eion from NOT HIS DRAGON. This is not a stand-alone and you need to have read at least the first book in the series before reading this one.
I love Christmas romance stories, but even better when we are revisiting old friends.
The story is an entertaining, sweet, cute and short Christmas romance. The ending brings happy tears and smiles. In fact, I’m still smiling.
Eoin hasn’t celebrated Christmas in a long time, but he wants to give his mate a first Christmas together to remember. As an orphan, Angie approaches Christmas a time of sadness and self-pity… until she realizes she is no longer alone.
I want to know more about the castle Gargoyle. Though his part in this story was small, he was a hoot! In fact, there were many characters that I look forward to knowing better in future books.
Based on the few I have read (or listened to) so far, Annie Nichols writes wonderful humorous paranormal stories. I’ll be looking for more from her.
Title: NOT HIS CHRISTMAS Series: Not This #3.5 Category /Genre: Paranormal Romance Recommended for: 18+ due to sexual content Grammar/editing: C – average writing, poorly edited Received from: Amazon purchase
This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Not His Christmas by Annie Nicholas is a really short Christmas Novella that is part of the Not His series. There are Spoilers if you haven't read the rest of the series. I loved this story! It's a Christmas Story dragon style. I laughed so hard I thought I would pee on myself. I really had to stop once or twice just to catch my breath. Annie Nicholas gives us characters that are more human than humans! You can't help but love Eoin and Angie. There's a support cast that get their own stories (Ken, the werewolf, Viktor, the Vampire, Nick, the Gargoyle and it goes on), but you get a glimpse of them throughout the stories. Even if you aren't a Christmas fan you can't help but be laugh-out-loud amused by a dragon that loves his mate enough to want to make her Christmas "Special". Reading this book lifted my mood and left me smiling for hours after I was done reading. I highly recommend this book and the series to anyone looking for GREAT entertainment, sexy shifters and dragon shenanigans that will leave you breathless. An honest to goodness feel good read. (Spicy - Adult Readers Please)
I love all the fun and quirky characters in and around New Port. We were introduced to Eoin and Angie in "Not His Dragon". This is a short story about their first Christmas. Eoin wants to cheer up Angie and he wants to make this first Christmas together special. He is so caught up in making Christmas perfect that everything starts to fall apart, catch on fire, break or get burnt. There is a sweetness about this terrible grouchy old black dragon since he has been mated to Angie. They adopted some cats from Betty and Eoin named them. I love his name for the orange tabby, Orange Devil. If you like these books grab this Christmas short story, it is funny and sweet. I loved that Eoin gave burnt cookies to Ryota.
It might be Eoin and Angie's first Christmas, but she is snippy and doesn't want anything to do with the usual celebrations. Determined to cheer her up Eoin decides to give her a perfect Christmas and is on a mission to make it so perfect she can't help but be happy.
Best laid plans of mice, men and even dragons comes to mind when reading this. It was a charming story that definitely set the Christmas mood. It was heartwarming to read a story of such love and affection between to people and the ending was lovely. It was well written and easy to understand.
It is the first Christmas for Eoin and Angie . This is so well written and funny !!! Annie Nicholas you outdid yourself on this one !! Now it is a short story and no you do not have to have read the first three stories in the series ( but it would make it even better if you have ! ) to enjoy this peek into their first Christmas . I laughed and snickered and fell in love with this !! Well done and STRONGLY RECOMMEND to all romance readers !!!!
Cannot wait to read the two books in between so I skip them to read the new novella whose main characters are Eoin and Angie and I was not disappointed, funny as usual.
Sweet, precious, funny, and filled with the joy and magic of the holiday season. Angie and Eoin’s first Christmas together is an adventure neither of them were expecting to go on. Angie hasn’t celebrated since losing her family. And, Eoin is badly out of practice at decorating, cooking, and just about everything else except loving Angie. Will his love be enough to counter her Scrooge-like feelings? Read it and find out. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.
Annie Nicholas's Not His Christmas is a novella in the Not This series that takes place between the third and fourth story in the series. Eoin is determined to make Angie happy for their first Christmas together. But since time is not always something that is relevant in Eoin's mind, he has a lot to do at the last minute. With the help of several other characters from the Not This series, will he be able to pull off the perfect Christmas? Overall, this was a cute addition to the series.
I love this entire series. So when I saw that there was a novella that took us back to where it all began (with Eoin and Angie) I was ecstatic. Eoin decides to make his and Angie's first Xmas together special...the book is aptly named because it seems like if it can go wrong it will. the number of times he rallies and tries again proves just how much he loves Angie. Its sweet, funny, and a happily ever after twist involving eggs end it. A complete must read!
Not His Christmas is heartwarming and funny. Readers get to revisit the castle and dragons in this story.
The black dragon does everything he can to try and make their first Christmas together special. However, everything goes wrong in spectacular fashion. It was laugh out loud funny.
Annie Nicholas takes the Christmas disaster and gives readers a HEA with something to look forward to.
Poor Black Dragon-Shifter Eoin tries to create a Festive Christmas!!
Sweet and trouble-filled attempts of our normally taciturn dragon Eoin trying to make Christmas special for his mate of one-year Angie. He has to call in the reserves to make it happen. Great festive read to get you in the Christmas mood!!
*** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book ***
I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review. This was a great short story with Angie and Eoin - their first Christmas together. Eion’s blundering about, trying to make Christmas special for Angie, results in one catastrophe after another. It's both amusing and endearing. It's a short book, so I'll keep my review short. It's a great book - read it!
Short, cute story about Eoin and Angie's first Christmas together. Eoin has not done Christmas in a long time, but he wants to make this one perfect for Angie. Unfortunately, things will not go as he wants. In the end it is Angie that will have the biggest Christmas surprise.
I was given a copy of this book. My review is voluntary.
Very short story but if you have been reading the series, it is a must read. Big bad black Dragon shifter has a soft spot for Christmas. And this is his first one in a long time when he is not alone. He is determined to make it perfect. Hmmm, be careful for what you wish for.
Having a mate Eion wants to make the holiday special. But Angie is having mood swings and can't seem to get into the spirit. What's a male to do?
Funny and romantic, this story drew chuckles from me. With appearances of other characters from the original story, it was fun to see what occurred and how he handled the setbacks and near disasters.
I just adore this sweet and sexy series. In Not His Christmas, by Annie Nicholas, we find a ferocious alpha dragon, just trying to bring some Christmas spirit to his mate.
Characters from some of the other books in the series pop up, in clever and comical ways, and friendship and love rule the season.
Give yourself the gift of reading this and all of the other books in Annie’s series.
He hasn't done Christmas in years but now He sets out to to Christmas right..He burns the cookies to a crisp,He blows all the fuses in the house because He overloaded the antiquated electrical system, and then He catches it on fire, while trying to start a fire in the fireplace..He does all this for what? To make His dragon mate Happy for Christmas..
Eoin is just as over the top as before, and the storyline about why Angie is sooo moody is a no brainer. Very short and full of Christmas decorating madness, and definitely not worth to the price I paid for it. Should have been added to the end of Not His Dragon instead.
Eoin loves Christmas and is determined to make his and Angie's first Christmas perfect. He even pulls Ken, New Port werewolf Beta, and Viktor, the vampire, in to help with the decorating. However, things are not going as smooth as he'd hoped and Angie seems to dislike the holiday.
This is a cute story and there's even a bit of a surprise if you don't catch on to it but there were a lot of grammatical errors which took away from the story for me. I did enjoy returning to New Port again.
This is a fast read about Dragon Eoin, Harbinger of Smoke and Darkness and his mate Angie and their first Christmas season together. This is a book you will smile with but you also find out why Angie does not do Christmas. All books in this series should be read in order. A well written story in a series I have fallen in love with.
Sometimes letting the past and hurt surround the present hurts so remember it's never to late to create new traditions and memories! Her mate is extremely caring and did is best with what they have and a couple favors thrown in. His mate is dealing with so much can be really make it a Christmas to remember fondly?
For a proud and majestic dragon, Eoin gets into the most funniest situations. Trying to create the perfect Christmas for his new mate is a sweet gesture, but he obviously has not celebrated the holidays in a long time. Perfection is a high bar to meet when you haven't even mastered the basics. I laughed when I realized that Erin trumped his efforts - and she wasn't even trying!
Aww, this was so sweet, a perfect little christmas story. Eoin tries to give Angie a perfect christmas, but he's worried because she is moody, hungry, and snappish in turns and he doesn't know what's wrong. Meanwhile, he manages to burn the christmas cookies, set the tree on fire, and blow the electricity with all of the lights. However, everything turns out great in the end.
