After spending my life locked in my mother's no-so-metaphorical cage, I'm ready to set myself free. Getting cast in a Vegas show was my ticket out... but I quickly realize that doesn't mean I'm actually free as a bird. Instead of celebrating my new gig, Mom spends the evening setting me straight about a few things. I'm not who I think I am. Not even a little.

When I meet my castmates - five men who say they were sent to protect me - I'm wrecked and raw. They take me under their wing, and I feel understood for the first time in my life. But they're keeping secrets from me, too... They aren't ordinary men. They are hawk-shifters, and they claim I'm part of a bigger purpose.

I just wanted to dance, to move across a stage. But maybe I was meant for more. Maybe I was meant to fly. In fact, maybe I was meant to soar.

Dear reader,

It's time to spread our wings in this third installment of the Daughters of Olympus series! The battle is on, and stakes are high - luckily there are five men on our side to help make the night sky a hell of a lot brighter, because when this harem gets together, it's fireworks.

This is a reverse-harem romance with a high heat level.

RATING 3.5 STARS

Their Phoenix is book three in the Daughters of Olympus series by Charlie Hart and Anastasia James. Charlie Hart is a pen name for Frankie Love.

In this installment, featured are not three, not four but five hawk shifters. Five very hot, very athletic men! Vaughn, North, Brecken, Sawyer and Arrow, were orphans and were taken in as children by Gaia who is Mother Earth. I think Gaia knew all along that these men were going to be very important.

Lark was raised by a very overprotective mother. Her mother was a witch and read fortunes to make a living. She constantly kept Lark encased in protective spells as well as the house. Lark is now twenty one years old and is tired of being so controlled. She is ready to experience life. All her life Lark has loved to dance, with a special ability to fly through the air on a trapeze. It seemed like she was truly flying. She has worked to hone her abilities all her life and now she has her big break. She has been chosen to star in a huge production in Las Vegas at a major hotel. Five male dancers have been chosen to be her co-stars. Little did she know that these five men were actually chosen to protect her.

Lark soon learns that her mother has been keeping secrets from her, secrets that change everything. She feels a strong attraction to the five men that she is spending countless hours with every day rehearsing for their show. She is doing her best to keep her focus on the show, not on her feelings for the men, but it is difficult.

Lark also learns that the men aren’t just men at all. And that she is in danger. From what she’s not sure yet. She also learns that she has sisters, all with the same mother but different fathers. She has so much to accept, as well as her own purpose in all of this.

So, this wasn’t my favorite of the series so far. I had trouble really feeling anything for Lark and her men. I didn’t feel the romantic connection at all with this one. Still, I am wanting to know how this whole thing plays out, so it was important to read this one. I suspect each one of these sisters will be important in the end. In book four, we will meet the next sister, River, in Their Shade.

Another sister.. and endless questions.

Their Phoenix introduces you to Lark. Who lives with a mother who basically is her warden. Then she finds out that her mother isn't her mother.. but just a lonely witch who found her. Not only her.. but she has a sister somewhere out in the world. Or does she?

Again, this is an RH book and of course she meets her mates while working within the same show. Yet, I was bored and not surprised that her own dad was another god. I feel like this book had a bit more twists and turns within it but then the ending was just kind of bleh.

At this point, I want to know how many freaking sisters these books have. I feel like I'm going to get more in the next book and just be like.. enough. No more children to find. I just want to meet the mom guys. I need to know if she's equally crazy - like their dads - or just completely normal.

I really liked this installment in the Daughters of Olympus series. It was fast paced and constantly had my attention. Everything that I complained about in the last installment was fixed and it seems like every installment in this series gets better than the last.
I liked Lark. Even though she grew up with a sheltered life, she was still independent. She didn't want her guys to "protect" her and she tried to be as self-sufficient as possible. I found her character interesting because, unlike her sisters, she grew up with a mother. Harlow and Remedy were both orphans and they both grew up with a sense of loneliness. Lark wasn't like that and I thought that was a brilliant touch on Charlie Hart and Anastasia James 's parts. It gave more depth to her character and made her different from her sisters.
I liked all of the guys. I complained in my review of the last book about the character development for the male characters. I thought that that was resolved in this book. There was more detail about their backgrounds and there was more insight into the boys' individual personalities.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. I am happy that I continued to reading this series because it has gotten better and better with each book. I will be reading the next book, Their Shade .

Book #3 in the Daughters of Olympus series, so if you haven't already you should read the previous 2 books first:

Their Siren you can read my review right HERE
Their Mate you can read my review right HERE

YES, FINALLY... a female character I love! I am sorry but Lark is just so much more refreshing than her sisters, Harlow from Their Siren and Remedy in Their Mate. Unlike with Remedy I'm not fearing that Lark might be suicidal. Lark is by no measure perfect, however, most of her hangups are not her fault. But what really redeem her is her hard working nature. She doesn't expect anything, she works for what she wants.

Sure she has an overbearing mother, and when she doesn't take her mothers warnings serious disaster strikes (mother knows best!).

SPOILER INCOMING

The only reason I'm not giving this 5***** is because of how she bests her father. Harlow bested her father, Poseidon, like it was nothing. Remedy bested her father, Ares, like it was nothing. However, Lark bests Zeus without really acting like she knows who he is! How can that be? Sure, not everyone has the same knowledge, but there are certain things most people know. Zeus, "king" of the Greek gods are a well known fact, yet his own daughter does not know who he is? And bests him like it's a walk in the park. All 3 sisters have managed this so far, and I've been equally disappointed that it's not even hard for them.

Recieved as an ARC for my honest review. Their Phoenix was a big hit with me. After not being completely fullfilled with Their Mate and Remedy's story I was over the moon with Lark's story. Lark wanted to stay true to who she thought she was. You felt her struggle with trying to find out her past, but too scared to really want to know. And her Hawks stood strong for her and gave Lark the strength to learn who she really was. The Phoenix

Lark didn't just embrace what Remedy and her Wolves had to say. Lark didn't just say, "Ok, I'll do what you want". She made them leave and let her Hawks take care of her. Lark's reaction was more realistic. She went on with the show. Granted she ended up bring the show to a firery end, but it was all her.

I'm a Crossover girl at hart. So the characters from Frankie Love's Las Vegas Bad Boys series popping up made me giddy.

Looking forward to book #4

A fun read about another of the “sisters;” this story follows Lark as she discovers her truths and finds love with her own reverse harem. I liked this story and it was filled with emotions and action. Even though it is a reverse harem/ménage story I would say that it is safe because there is very little sex in the story and more adventure and action. This is another great chapter in the series and I after each one I get more and more excited for the final outcome.

The characters are well written and the story flows well. I did want more as it is a shorter story. I am beginning to think that waiting until the end of the series and then reading all the stories together might be the best way to read them. They are “standalone” stories but are MUCH better read in order and close together. I received and ARC and am leaving an honest review.

Another fantastic book in this already superb series from Charlie Hart and Anastasia James! This one is about Lark and her five men. There is the drama and suspense, the passion and heat and of course the love. And just wait till you find out who her father is! As usual the book starts and ends with a 'letter' from their true mother but you never guess what she reveals in the end. Fantastic! I cannot wait till the next book in this series!! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Wow! This book was everything I hoped for and so much more. As this series progresses it just gets better and more intense. I love that this book wasn't focus around sex, but more about the characters true feelings and as their relationship progresses their bond grows deeper.

I loved the fact that the STORY takes place in Vegas and Lark is the star of the show. I love the switching of POV and feel we getting understanding of the characters by hearing from each of them.

This book like the others was not your typical menage/reverse harem and if you havent given reverse harem books a chance in the pass this series is where to start.

I received an ARC copy of this book.
Book three in the Daughters of Olympus series was fast paced and I read it all in one sitting. I really enjoyed the main character and her guys. Lark had been hidden and sheltered her whole life by her mother and yet she was still strong and determined and not cowed, which I was very happy about. This series just keeps getting better with each book and I can't wait to see what comes next. Also, I love how Remedy and her guys from the previous book made an appearance to help Lark, just like Harlow and her guys showed up to help Remedy in book 2. Bring on book 4, can't wait to meet the next daughter of Olympus.

A show in Vegas? With five gorgeous co-stars? Not bad! Lark is a hardworking strong girl who seems to be very fragile in the beginning because of her figure, but throughout the story she can prove that to everyone - including herself - that she is anything but that. The blooming of love is nicely written and also Lark's relationship and feelings towards her family. It is crazy exciting, how the Phoenix is revealed.
The ending is also great, we receive a new puzzle piece for the frame story.
This is a very well written book, I couldn't really put it down, and I can't wait for the next part.

I reviewed an ARC copy of the book voluntarily.

This is the third book of the series. In this book we meet Lark. She has lived a more sheltered life than her sisters. Her mother is an over protective witch. But unlike her other two sisters Lark has actually known one of her sisters though she didn't realise who she was at the time.

We also get to meet five gorgeous hawk shifters Vaughn, North, Brecken, Sawyer and Arrow. Each different from the next but each wanting to protect and love Lark above all else.

We still don't know exactly who their birth mother is or why she has been taken but I'm sure we will discover some of these things in the coming final books.

I am totally loving this series, each book is about a different sister trying to navigate their way through life with no idea who they really are and what is in store for them

Lark feels smothered by her mum but she finally has what she wants, a show in Vegas, but when she meets her cast her life changes never to be the same again

Full of excitement and danger, this is a beautifully written story with unusual shifters and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am looking forward to the next book as it is building up to all the sisters getting together

This series, when you think it can't get any better the next one comes out leaving you speechless. I adore this series, this book was a fantastic addition to it! I loved Lark and the relationship that she developed with her mates. This book had the perfect amount of emotion, angst, laugher and swoony hot moments. It left me happy reading it and seeing how this book ended, I had a hard time putting it down. I cannot wait for the next one to find out exactly what happened to the last sister.

The Daughters of Olympus, Book 3, Their Phoenix is not a book you want to miss. Book 1 - their Siren and book 2- their Mate are the first two. Forget the old fairytale about Zeus, Aires and Posiedon, and enter into the "Charlie Hart" world of not only reverse harems, but reverse the fairytales too. It's a cannot put it down till you finish kinda book.
I am Sooo hooked on these books and cannot wait for the next two.

I wasn't as into this book at first, but I am so glad I kept going!! It was so good. I loved watching Lark' s transformation, and boy did she become a force to be reckoned with. The guys are all dreamy and I love getting to read chapters from their perspectives. The overarching storyline is getting pretty intense, and I am excited to see where we go next and finally figure out what the heck is going on!!

Lark and the Phoenix

This story follow Lark and her hot hawk shifter men. They land the show in Vegas. Little does Lark know, Gaia raised these men and sent them to protect her. From what you ask? I guess you will have to read and find out who her father to be. Hint he is the god of gods. And this beautiful little bird is actually a Phoenix. She just needs to learn how fierce and strong she really is.

I love this series. Each new book is better than the previous ones, even when you think it can't be done. I adore the fact the female characters are all strong and strangely down to earth despite the fantastic/ mythological aspects. The Vegas setting was fun, the men are sweet and endearing while remaining very much alphas. Good fun read. I voluntarily received an ARC of this book.

This has been such a good series, and book three totally did not disappoint.
The story follows Lark and her five men. It was full of action as well as emotion. It focuses more on feelings, and allows the emotional bonds to grow and develop.
It was short, and fun, and overall, I cannot wait for the next book.

Lark to Phoenix

Awesome! Another amazing Daughters of Olympus! Hawk shifters and Las Vegas! So cool how her mom was a witch so it brought another twist to how she had no idea about her twin. Which I'm excited to see what happens when they go to New Orleans! And Remedy helping out.

This was a good book about Lark, who is bucking against her mother’s rules to do something for herself, and her five hawks that are sent to protect her. Through everything, the five men help Lark and Lark learns about herself and how strong she really is.

2.5/2.75 stars. Best one so far I think. A bit more believable and realistic reactions especially with Lark’s reaction to finding out about her family but ultimately, still trashy. I really enjoy the polygamous/ reverse harem aspect of the book, but I wish the relationships were more fleshed out.
