Rate this book
The Nutcracker has delighted audiences for generations - but what if there was more to the story than just the ballet?
Clara had no idea that the present of a nutcracker from her uncle would begin a journey to the strange, wonderful land of the Mowse folk - a land she must help save from the army of the threatening Mowse Queen. Clara will need to trust herself, and her new friends Hortus the Mowse, Pyotr the soldier, and the mysterious Cicero, if she is to bring peace to the land, and find her way home.

When I came across this book, I realized how little I knew about the Nutcracker’s story. Right away, I was immersed in the nutcracker’s world and on Clara’s journey. I enjoyed this book’s vivid imagery and adventure tale. It’s a good read for anyone interested in the fantasy genre or the nutcracker story!

Never in my life did I ever suppose I would read something as confusing and disappointing! Clara's the "Mouse Queen" and the Nutcracker doesn't even end up with her! And there's a machine which really doesn't work with us Catholics who believe in how God is the One in charge... not some machine! Not worth it.
