Collects a bunch of the Wolverine one-shots released over the last 10 years or so. Most of this is surprisingly quite good. There are of course a couple of clunkers as well. I really liked Marc Bernardin's story about Wolverine going out one night each year with a mutant who can negate powers so Logan can get drunk. I also liked the story where Spider-Man goes out drinking with Logan. There's some really good World War II stories.

I got the digital version of this. It is amazing value for money, since it is more than 400 pages of Wolverine action. What more could you want? This collection has lots of a whole variety of short stories. Most of them violent (it is Wolverine, after all), some fun, some sad, some of them thoughtful. Some even make you think. Yes, some stories are better than others, and same is true for the art- some of it is stunning, some of it is atrocious. Still, I won't complain because the digital collection is great value for money, and Wolverine is always good for some light entertainment.
The format of having a bunch of different stories and styles was good, but that being said these weren't my favorite. There were probably only a few that I really enjoyed.
In The Amazing Immortal Man, we find Logan in a rare moment of self-awareness—fully knowing he’s being used, yet going along with it. Performing as a circus act to make ends meet, he’s not just playing the part of the “immortal man,” he’s also trying to protect a pregnant woman he cares for—yes, once again, driven by love.
This story captures the familiar Wolverine cycle: love, sacrifice, betrayal. Despite his effort to do the right thing, things spiral out of control. He ends up blackmailed, hunted, and in deeper trouble than before. The tragedy here isn’t just in being used—it’s in knowing it, and doing it anyway.
Gritty, emotional, and sharp, this tale adds another painful chapter to Logan’s life, blending heartbreak with inevitable violence. Also, great gritty artwork to go along with it.
