Getting lost at sea wasn’t exactly how I planned to spend my twenty-first birthday. One second I was standing on the shore, wondering if I’ll ever learn the truth about my parents, and the next I’m caught in a whirlpool, drowning.

Someone––or something––is out to get me. But who? And why?

An elite sailing team saved my life, but these irresistible men seem to think I called them here. They say I’m a Siren.

Their Siren.

My glittering green legs could make a believer out of anyone, but I’m not a creature from the sea. I’m Harlow, a pink-haired girl with a penchant for iced-coffees, who dreams of one day feeling comfortable in her own skin.

Turns out there’s a whole lot about me I never knew. And these men are here to help me figure it out.

I wanted to become more badass this year … I’d say growing a tail qualifies.

Dear Reader,
This paranormal romance isn’t just about a fish out of water. Four men have staked their claim on Harlow … and she’s going to relish in their devotion from head to toe … err, tail.
But don’t worry, it’s not just about the steamy scenes— prepare yourself to dive into some murky waters because this Siren is getting ready for the fight of her life!

Their Siren is book one in the Daughters of Olympus series by Charlie Hart and Anastasia James. Charlie Hart is a pen name for Frankie Love

We first met Harlow in Charlie Hart’s Our Virgin series as the best friend of the heroine, Chloe. I couldn’t wait to find out what her story was. I loved getting a little glimpse of Chloe and her men from her series by the way! Harlow was abandoned as a baby, found in a basket on the beach. She was lucky enough to be adopted by loving parents and had a wonderful life. She always wondered, though, where her life really started. Who her biological parents were. It’s her twenty-first birthday and her mother has given her a ring that was found in her basket when she was a baby.

woman standing in the ocean

Harlow’s wanderings take her to the beach where she was found. The water seems to be calling to her and she can’t say no. On this night her life is forever changed.

“Even if I don’t know where I belong, I do know that when the sea calls, you have no choice but to answer.”

Nautical

Harlow finds herself rescued by four very good looking men who are an elite sailing team preparing for an around the world race. They claim that they were led to her, that she called them to her. How can this be? But their night together proves that they were meant to find her. They are forever bound.

“She’s more than a woman needing rescue; she’s a woman come to save me.”

“One touch from Harlow and it’s like I’ve spent my entire life waiting for this moment.”

This is a fairly short and a surprisingly suspenseful story of Harlow’s journey to discover who, and what she really is. She’s not sure who to believe and everything is overwhelming. Now she just wants everything to go back to the way it was before her birthday, when everything was so simple. Are these four men she has met her destiny, or her enemy? Are they here to help her or to hurt her?

The next book in this series is Their Mate. I’m not sure how it will tie in with this one but I’m looking forward to finding out.

“We are yours, Siren. Body, mind, and soul.”

Rating : meh

The only thing I enjoyed about this book was the heroine's hair. And to tell you the truth, I don't have anything constructive to say about it so that's why i'm not rating it.

Mermaids always win in my book 🧜🏽‍♀️

Pretty darn good. If you like mermaids and reverse harem, then I highly recommend this one. There is also a bit of mystery tied in that will continue in the next books. The main plot gets closure, but the side plot seems to continue through the series.

All in all a good paranormal read!

...uhhh it was an okay-ish book... bordering on horrible but somehow addicting? It's like you couldn't look away from it no matter how hard you tried.

Their Siren was an interesting take on some mermaid romance. It definitely had it's ups and downs.. but I'm still somehow wanting to dive into the next book? Mostly because I just want to know what her psychotic dad is going to do next. I'm also wondering if all the kids were abandoned and adopted?? Or if it was just her.

Other than that, the romance was okay. I'm pretty used to some RH books so nothing really shocked or wowed me. Just glad that she found somebody to love? Or to love her? No idea lol.

Odd

The story has potential, but other than a lot of kinky sex that's about all it has. The plot is underdeveloped and the male leads are mostly indistinctive, to the point that there's not real emotional connection or sense of loss as a reader when one dies. The plot is overly rushed and the connections between characters takes Insta love to an absolutely ridiculous level.

I didn’t love it,
I didn’t hate it,
but I wanted to finish it.

I wanted something quick, got it.
I do enjoy insta-love, this definitely has it.
I like RH romance…yep, it’s in here.

All in all, this was just okay for me.
Sadly, I didn’t feel too much throughout. I didn’t feel like I knew the characters very well. And I was a little confused during some of this story. Not sure if I was supposed to read another book before this one, or if I should keep reading more in the series? Maybe that would help, but at this point, I’m not sure if I’ll continue or not.

I listened to the audiobook and I thought the narrators did a decent job.

Let me start by saying that I love anything mythology related, especially Norse, Greek and/or Roman. I love the Reverse Harem genre. So this should be right up my street, right? RIGHT? Well it's not! Why? Well that's a dang good question, one I wish I could answer because I don't quite know myself. Is it because the story felt off? Is it because the story felt rushed? Is it because the plot feels childish? Is it because there's no depth in any of their personalities? Any of those, or all? I really don't know!!! Have you ever bought a piece of garment because it looks incredibly good on the model, so you imagine it will look fab on you - then reality turns out to be so much different? Well that's how this book feels to me! Great idea, but lacking in the execution.

Like this: description vs description

I guess the main thing is that it felt more like it should have been a working progress, instead of a published book. I mean, the beginning is fine, but where's the middle? The buildup? Harlow and her men goes from strangers to loving each other... hmm!

The very last thing that rubs me the wrong way is her show down with her father. ***SPOILER*** yes, Harlow is a Siren and her father is none other than the great Poseidon. Yet, she can simply cage him in an air bubble and off he goes.

The length of this book does not provide much time for story building or character development. In fact everything is rushed, brushed over and downright laughable. This read very much like amateur porn and sometimes the language the authors used felt completely out of place in the story. It was impossible to take anything seriously and given the high cheese factor, I’m not sure I’d have been able to actually finish if it was much longer. The heroine barely stops to question how walking into the ocean upends her whole life instead she just rolls with it. She’s even claiming four men on her birthday minutes after meeting them because ‘love.’ Love is the answer to everything is all I’m going to say. This was a weird one fore sure, laughable even though I’m sure it’s not supposed to be.

DNF. This is horrible - I just couldn't. Which is sad, because I have been on a roll with epic stories for weeks...and then this comes along and fucks it all up.

I can't handle instalove, and this instalove is.... ridiculous.

And I didn't enjoy the writing, tbh.

DNF'd at 5ish%.

If you are looking for a steamy reverse harem book with some magic and a siren then I recommend reading this book.

Reverse harem is a book that has a harem of lovers which means more than two people in a relationship. This book does contain steamy content and mature scenes not suitable for readers under 18 years of age!

This book was one of those books that I gobbled up in one sitting. Once I started the book I was immediately overcome by a different world and relished in the fact that I got to live more than one life in my own lifetime.

This book is about a girl that seems to be drawn to the sea, she isn't sure why until one night on her 21st birthday she sees a seal and feels as if it is calling to her, and that it needs her. She meets four men who she feels an immediate strong connection to while chasing the seal, and despite her sudden sparkly green legs they seem to be drawn to her as well. Passion seems to strike out of nowhere little does she know these men will soon be more important than she ever thought possible; they might just be able to help her find out just who she really is.

This book dug its hooks in me and showed me just how powerful love can be even if only in a story. When the love is strong enough nothing can stand in the way of that love. If the love is strong enough there is always a way. This book shows just how powerful love can be and what it can do for so many people if only more people would accept and share the love in their hearts with others. Love conquers all in this book!

This is a beautifully written reverse harem book. I am so happy to have the pleasure of reading this book.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader's copy of this book.

I then purchased a copy of the book because I loved the book so much.

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I enjoyed it. The only thing is that I wish was for it to be a little longer so that the plot could have been drawn out a little more. I had some questions that I am hoping are answer in the rest of the series.

Harlow has always felt different than everyone else. She was found on the beach when she was a baby. She finds herself on that same beach 21 years later. She is drawn to the sea and swept into it. She is saved by a crew of sailors. Eric, Crew, Kai and West are all friends and are swept away by the girl they pulled from the ocean. After an incredible night with her, they wake to find her gone. Harlow doesn't know what is going on but she wants to know about her past. Will they be able to figure out what is going on before it's too late?

Plot wasn’t properly explained, they tiptoe around the matter for pages and pages on end and still I felt just as confused as Harlow. How exactly she goes from being a virgin to having her way with four guys with zero dialogue is beyond me! I literally couldn’t finish reading this, my heart wasn’t in it.

Roll With The Waves......

What happens when you really don't know where you came from and when you just thought you might find out, you are fished out from the sea by 4 hunky sailors? Why you take advantage of the moment that's what and oh boy does Harlow ever!

But what is she really and how strong is her bloodline, or better yet who are her real parents and does she want anything to do with him... Maybe she'd rather have a semi normal life with her men.... After all three is better than one...LoL and they are going to help in her search for the rest of her siblings on the high seas.

Follow these four on their hot, passionate quest

An enchanting read!

Someone––or something––is out to get her...

It was surprisingly enjoyable - a quick insta love with plenty of steam and suspense.

Lovely writing though no character development which was a bit disappointing but since it is an insta-love, I am alright with it - kinda.

Full of questions, gods, goddesses, sirens, love, adventure, trust, suspense and destiny.

Perfect for readers of paranormal romances.

Wow! Ok so this this first book I have read by either of those authors and I cannot wait to read more! It was very fast paced but with so much emotion!! Harlow's character was well thought out and had a lot of depth but the guys not so much, which is understandable in a shorter book. I loved the storyline and while it ends with am HEA there is a slight cliffhanger for the next book in the series. And I can't wait for that one to come out! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Sadly I am very disappointed with this book. First of all it was insta-love and I really can’t stand that. But I figured, she is a supernatural creature so I just need to go with it. Secondly, none of the men in the haram had any personality! They weren’t developed and I finished the book still not having a clue as to who these men are and what their stories were. Last of all, the ending. I hate hate hate when I am not warned that there will not be a HEA and that was not a HEA because one of her boys died!!!! A reverse haram HEA does not end with one of the men dying. This totally ruined it for me and will not be continuing the series because I don’t want more disappointment.

I read ALOT. Hear me say, alotttttt. My kids tell me too much 😊 Reason I’m saying this is because I can appreciate a short story... this book, however, frustrated me. And not in the typical “mmmmm I wish I was with your man/men” way that a good book does...! This story went wayyyy too fast (it was literal INSTA-love). I feel like they tried to plug way too much substance into too little pages, without making me as the reader understand where a lot of it was coming from/going.
Hope this helps someone out! 😊 and if anyone knows of any amazing PNR books- I’m running out of quality material and always looking for friendly recommendations 😊

💍🧜‍♀️ The story 🧜‍♀️💍
Harlow has never felt like she belongs on land, always longing for the sea. Until one day, on her 21st birthday, she follows this longing into the depths of the sea, searching for her place in the world.

I don’t have a clue what to tell you about this book. I started reading this because it sounded like something I’d be interested in and was thus recommended by a friend, and when I saw how short the book was, I was sold. However, the story progressed so quickly that I honestly got whiplash. Before we’d even learned anything about the characters, they were already sleeping together, and this just made me laugh. That’s the thing with this book, although I don’t think it’s intentional, it made me laugh so hard that I actually cried. This is the exact reason why I’m giving it 3 stars because it’s been a while since I’ve laughed this hard over a book, even though it’s not actually supposed to be funny.
She may be lost--but tonight, it’s like I’ve been fucking found.

The ending was just… Not it. I mean, That’s so unbelievable that once again, it just made me laugh. Some aspects of the story just made me cringe, and I honestly don’t know why I thought it was all so funny. I guess it was good that I found it funny because I definitely would’ve hated the book if I didn’t find it so funny.

💍🧜‍♀️ The characters 🧜‍♀️💍
I honestly didn’t care about any of the characters, since the story went from zero to a hundred in a few pages, and we didn’t actually learn anything about the guys besides their insta-love for Harlow. Seriously, the insta-love in this book was on another level. At this point I just feel like she spelled them into loving her or something, that’s the only thing that makes sense. It was just so crazy that I don’t even know what to tell you. Harlow was a bit annoying at times, it was so obvious that she was a mermaid/siren, and it was annoying that she kept denying it. I mean, her legs literally sparkled green, and she met a guy who could turn into a seal don’t get me started on that, I’m choking again. She seemed to cry a lot, which was a bit annoying too. I was honestly surprised I don’t really have an opinion on any of the guys; Crew, Eric, West and Kai just all blurred into one person, and it was honestly hard for me to see them all as separate from each other.
“You have us, Mermaid,” he whispers. “Mind, body, and soul.”

💍🧜‍♀️ Overall conclusion 🧜‍♀️💍
This definitely wasn’t a great book, but it made me laugh nonetheless. The plot was crazy rushed, and the main characters all slept together immediately after they met. There was definitely no character or relationship development, but this was honestly just a really funny read to me. I am kind of interested in her sisters, and especially in whether they all sleep with their love interests immediately after meeting them too. Can’t wait.

This was my first experience with a reverse harem-style story, and I feel like it was a great one to start with.

Harlow is a newly 21-year-old young woman determined to set off on a journey of self-discovery. Her immediate thoughts take her to a tattoo parlor and to the beach, fairly standard actions for that age, but for Harlow there's special meaning in each. The tattoo is of a seal - her spirit animal. And the beach just happens to be the one where she was abandoned as an infant.

As she stands on the beach, she feels an irresistible compulsion to jump into the ocean and swim as she never has before. She does and ultimately meets four amazing men who felt her call and came for her. When she woke up that morning, she never thought this was how her day would end.

Throughout the story, Harlow struggles to find out where she comes from and to adjust to her newfound strengths. Some of her strengths, if she doesn't learn how to control them, could quite literally tear her world apart. I was enthralled with her journey of self-discovery. Harlow is so approachable to the reader, no matter their age, as she questions herself. Empowerment is a concept so near and dear to women all over the world. We seek to find out power and rejoice in it, to celebrate ourselves and our own awesome talents. But for many people, when a person is too amazing, they end up being cut down.

Harlow has truly awesome power in her, but she has such incredible self-doubt, as well. Is she making the right decisions? Are her strengths a danger to others? Should she pretend to be less than she really is, to get by in this crowded world?

And then, throw into the mix Harlow meeting her biological father - who is a Greek god, by the way - and a thinly veiled threat to her sisters she didn't know she had, and Harlow's journey of self-discovery takes on depth she never could have imagined.

It was fun to read about Harlow, and I look forward to testing out the next book in the series.

Could have been a great book, decent story, put the events, lack of explanations and extreme instant love was just awful. There are some RH that have “instant love,” and while it does get old after a while, I don’t think it was pulled off well in this book at all. The female lead was also not developed enough, but was more so than the males. I thought her story was intriguing but like I said, it wasn’t pulled off well and I ended up putting this book in my stopped reading/will not finish list.

Decided to rate it a 3 because I feel that the book could be really good if more time was spent on it. 1) This would make a better series book where you delve into her past and give it the light it deserves. 2) The guys need to be more developed. I literally have no idea who they are as people and what makes them unique. One of the guys (can’t recall his name—but he’s the first p.o.v guy—is the only one who is “developed.” 3) the whole seal thing needs more development all around. 4) The main female in this series has a bit of a Mary Sue thing going on that might require some edits—OR a very good reason why she has them.

Worth a try, but not a good/great book. Fair, I suppose? I feel bad leaving a bad review but I really want this book to succeed and it’s unfortunately not up to snuff yet. 😩

I would give Their Siren a 3-3.5 stars. Their Siren focuses on Harlow, who has always felt more comfortable in the water, who doesn't know where she came from (was found by her mom and dad on a beach). We get to meet these droolworthy sailors and Harlow's best friend Chloe and her harem (they may be familiar for those who have read other books by one of the authors haha). Harlow turns 21 and her life is changed forever. She has to come to grips with what is happening to her, deal with her feelings for the hunky men, and overcome some foes (including Mother Nature).

The first couple pages reeled me in but there were large amounts of repetition that made it hard for me to get into the story. I had to put it down a couple times before I finally got reeled in. There were some awkward jumps/parts, but I still wanted to stick with it and finish it. I thought it was ok, but it could be improved by working on the transitions between the scenes and making sure the inner monologue doesn't get too repetitive. I like the concept and am interested to read further. I liked the imagery in this book, I could totally imagine Harlow and her amazing underwater surroundings.

This is the first reverse harem book that I have read. And Wow what a book to be the first.

If you don't like the idea of the female lead having more than one love interest and sexual partner, then this is not a book for you. Likewise if you shy away from sexually explicit content.

Harlow (our female lead) starts off a bit lost and unsure of herself. Of course not knowing where she comes from and the fact she was left on a beach as a baby has a lot to do with it. But pretty quickly she manages to find herself and starts to discover the truth about who or what she really is and where she comes from.

I love how the four men (Eric, Kai, West and Crew) were completely different from one another. Each of their characters brings something different to the story. Each one as hot as the next and loved equally by Harlow. I was sad when one didn't make it to the end.

This story is fast paced and full of steamy encounters, love and loss. This book is well written and the flowing storyline makes its easy to follow along. And there is enough intrigue left to want to know what's in store for these four characters.

Wow, simply Wow!
I truly have no words to describe how truly amazing and emotional this book is.
This book touched my soul and was simply moving. I have read all of Frankie Love/Charlie Hart's books and this book/story is nothing like her other books in a great way. This book almost seems more personal, almost like we are getting a piece of Hart's heart.
As you read this story you will get to see/read a bit about characters from Hart's other books, I loved this. You will also watch a beautiful transformation happen with the characters of this book and you will fall in love with each and every one of them.
This book is so much more then a menage book. It is a love story full of heartbreak and a coming of age story.
If you are looking for an amazing story this book is for you and if you don't like menage books, please give this book a chance because it is NOT your typical menage book.
Before you read be prepared to have an amazing journey and one heck of a book hangover, once you are done.

This is the start of a beautiful and amazing series. It is the adventure of a life time! This story checked all the boxes in what a reader looks for in their choices. It was written beautifully, with deep emotions, wonderful characters and becomes as close to a perfect story as has been written in this trope.

The reader is introduced to the characters the beauty of this world images; and the ability if these authors shines. The story is so detailed that the reader feels like they are swimming along with the characters and is a part of their world.

What surprised me the most with this story is that it is both a “coming of age” and a “ménage romance.” How do these work together? The answer is in perfect harmony. I am so excited that I read this story and I CANNOT WAIT for the rest in this series.

This is the best story in this genre I have ever read and I HIGHLY recommend it!! Take a chance and buy this story, you will thank these authors when you finish!! I received an ARC and am leaving an honest review.

I have been reading a lot of amazing RH, and when I got a steal on the audio version of this one, I was excited to read it. Buuuut I have to say I was disappointed. It was a bit rushed, but more than that, the male characters were indistinguishable from one another. One of my favorite things about RH is reading about all the different personalities involved, how they mesh, butt heads, or whatever. I'm not picky about whether there is jealousy, the heat level, or whether the guys are already a unit or she is the force that brings them together. This one...well, I literally couldn't tell who was talking, who had what background, etc. None of them had a personality at all. There was no reason to even have 4 guys except to call it RH. I was sadly disappointed because I love mythology and fairytales, and seeing the creative liberties authors take to make them their own. But I need a deep, full developed story or at least details.
Would have liked a more in-depth story with fully fleshed out characters.
