Story: The Goblin Slayer finally needs help. After being a major badass for so many volumes he finally needs the help of other adventures to stop the forces of evil. The Goblins and a Goblin King, are about to descend on the village and kill everyone and rape their women. So the Goblin Slayer enlist help and this time he has the ultimate plan to kill one of the Goblin Kings.

Art: Still pretty solid. Sure, there's a lack of detail on some backgrounds, and none of the fights look as amazing as they do in Vinland or Berserk, but that's okay. I also think the character designs are pretty fun, as they are modeled after famous MMO characters, or other shonen/manga characters. Also, it's still brutal as hell.

Enjoyment: I really enjoyed the end fight. The Goblin Slayer against the Goblin King was both brutal and badass. The fights between all the different characters was also great as it showed off some new movesets from different characters. Also, the ending was actually pretty funny.

What didn't work: Still a lot of rape, so it's not always easy to read. Also, this plan wasn't as badass or different than a simple siege/defend attack.

Overall, pretty damn fun. I think this was the best volume so far. The Goblin King was savage but the Goblin Slayer was ready to fuck him up. A 3.5 out of 5, I'll bump it to a 4.

Goblin Slayer Volume 3 raises the intensity again, bringing back higher stakes while building on the character growth from the previous volumes. It feels like the series finding its balance - dark, tactical action mixed with genuine emotional development.

The highlight of this volume is the growth of Priestess. She steps confidently into tougher situations, makes her own decisions, and starts to feel like a true adventurer rather than a newcomer clinging to survival. Her arc gives the story heart and adds emotional weight to the missions.

The action is more dramatic this time, with larger threats and more dangerous terrain. Goblin Slayer’s methods stay grounded and practical, but the scale of the battles makes everything feel more urgent. The teamwork is tighter, the tactics smarter, and the fights more memorable than in the earlier books.

There are still a few rough edges - some sections move quickly without much buildup, and the villains remain simple rather than layered. But the pacing is strong, the atmosphere is tense in all the right places, and the payoff of the final conflict is satisfying.

Overall, Volume 3 is one of the stronger early entries, delivering a blend of strategy, danger, and character development that pushes the series forward without losing its grounded tone. It feels like the world is expanding and the stakes are rising — and it leaves you wanting more.

Sam początek mangi Goblin Slayer #3 to przysłowiowa cisza przed burzą.

W pewnym momencie zostaje on tutaj jednak zepchnięty na dalszy plan fabuły.

Goblin Slayer is back for volume 3 in all of its brutally gory fun. With severe damage to his armor Goblin Slayer actually has to go without armor for part of the story as his gear is fixed (though we still don't clearly see his face.)

After a typical survey of the grounds Goblin Slayer's horror is coming to realization as evidence of not only goblins but many goblins have been found and he warns his friend Cow Girl(less wordy then Childhood Friend I guess) that she needs to run because although he can handle goblins in an enclosed cave on the open field the amount he assumes is coming will be far more then he can handle. With her refusal to leave Goblin Slayer has to fight against prejuduces and swallow his pride to ask the adventurers that often look down on him to help him save the farm. Of course his recent allies in the last volume are gun-ho to help but some of the others take some coercing as Guild Girl does her part to protect Goblin Slayer's home.

Of course we get even more examples of goblins being evil incarnate as they march into battle with meat shields consisting of women (probably used for breeding originally) strapped to shields but hanks to Goblin Slayers knowledge of the cowardly curs those women were able to be saved before the carnage hits the high note. We also see some of the things that made the Goblin leader as despicable as he is but it makes it all the more fun when the Goblins meet their worse enemy.

My fave part of the book is after the defense of the farm and Goblin Slayer still gave rewards to those that helped even though they were rewarded by the guild and Priestess asks for him to remove his helmet as her reward so she can see the man behind the armor. When he does there is a riot as High Elf Archer notices and everyone else crowds in to see Goblin Slayer for who he is (they even had a bet pool.) :)

I had no idea they called the redhead Cow girl hahahaha!

Shit hit the fan!! This volume was a lot of fun, there's an almost all-out-war against a goblin horde that, it was amazing, but kinda short. It felt like everybody realise that goblins are a trheat but it didn't feel like that for the reader (me xD).

The characters of the guild seem pretty interesting, the desings are really cool, i hope we get the chance to see more of them in the future. Goblin Slayer, my man, Here's where he really shines, in this type of situations (and by that i mean, he's good fighting goblins hahaha).

Overall, i had a lot of fun with this volume, it was very straight forward and fast-paced.

Another great book in the series.
The direction of this story differs greatly from that of the anime with battle for the farm occurring in this book rather than at the end of the anime series.
And in some ways it is better. I particularly enjoyed the commentary at the end regarding the gods and the roll of the dice. It reminds me of dungeons and dragons and the fond memories that I have of that game.
I can't wait to get started on the next book which will no doubt be just as good as this one and am thoroughly excited to see the new anime that is soon to be released.

4.35 stars.

This volume was again stronger than the previous one. It's getting better the further you get into the series, so maybe I do need to consider reading further.

This volume still had nudity, but it was less prominently shown than in the first volume where they went full out. The women still get treated horribly by the goblins, and it's still making me uncomfortable, but I do think the world building has become better in explaining why this is the case. But still not really liking that part of the story.

Goblin Slayer and the party, but also the minor characters are starting to develop really well and I'm starting to love the characters. The Goblins also are getting worse and scarier.

The attack in this volume was really interesting to read. I hope that if I read more of this they will focus more on the good attacks than the intentions of the Goblins with women. This volume showed their bad intentions, although non-sexual really well. The goblins are just misogynistic cunts.

The women of the party are also getting really strong now and I love that. The priestess went a rank up to obsidian. The strong women are making this story better. The great treatment of the men in the party towards the women of the party also helps bring nuance to the treatment of women in this world. I do think the men outside of the party are still oversexualising women to sometimes an uncomfortable point.

Most of this volume is taken up by a single, massive battle against a goblin horde. The lead-up to it does generate a lot of tension (if also a bit of frustration at the stubbornness of one character, in my humble opinion), and the resolution of the fight against the goblin lord showcases some of that same ingenuity that I've come to love, in using characters' skills in unexpected ways. It's the fight in the middle, that leaves something to be desired. Most of the tactics that come into play are fairly standard for large-scale, Medieval combat, considering the types of troops involved. So, while there's a lot of action in the bulk of this volume, there aren't many surprises during it. This makes the way it plays out paradoxically unengaging. The art carries the fight well enough, and it makes for a quick read, but it's very...by the numbers, so to speak.

There's a bit of character development at the end, including a subtly touching moment between Goblin Slayer and the Priestess, as well as intimations that our hero might actually be considering moving past his obsession, to greater things, but time will tell how far either of these developments go. As a standalone volume, Goblin Slayer number three isn't bad, but it isn't great, either. Hopefully things pick up again in Volume 4.

E, secondo me, non è ancora finita.

✨“THERE IS ONE WHO MIGHT WEEP AT MY DEATH.…..AND
I HAVE PROMISED NEVER TO MAKE HER CRY.
THEREFORE, MY LIFE IS NOT MINE TO GIVE.”✨

I have a feeling this is going to be my next Manga obsession! Great character development, love seeing a group of adventurers coming together, a team is building and I love that band of brothers vibe and can’t wait to see what they face together. All the characters are interesting, l already have my favourites and feel complete disgust towards the goblins, they’re vile creatures!! In this volume there’s a huge horde of them that needed defeating and the battle scenes were very good, the artwork is impressive. The Goblin Slayer has literally dedicated their whole life to slaying all goblins, you can feel that revenge is the Goblin Slayers force. I’m looking forward to more back story. I loved the ending of this volume and immediately starting the next one!!

I was worried about this series, after the last volume. It was very lighthearted and giggly, seemed to be setting up a harem. Instead of the gritty and bloody first volume, thankfully this has gone back to it's roots.

In this the Goblin's are targeting cowgirls farm and there are too many for the slayer to face alone, so he must ask for back up. I really liked the fact he had to ask for backup, usually in this type of stories you get the hero using the power of friendship or screaming to get stronger. It's nice to have one where they have to rely on other people to make it through, glad that the bubbles and rainbows were put on hold for another dark and gritty story. The tone felt completely off last volume, the characters do reappear in this but it's kept to a minimum.

I'm happy there was no ass pulls like last time, when it seems hopeless but hold on someone's got a secret weapon, much more enjoyable this time. I hope the dark and gritty tone stays as the other tone didn't feel right for the series, maybe it was a one off.

the battle in this volume was so epic!! I really don't know what's going to come next because they have outdone themselves. The art is perfect as usual, and the story is fast-paced, the characters are all quite interesting and I connect with them. When will we see Goblin Slayer's face?? haha I'm such a fangirl

Another great addition to the world of Goblin Slayer.

There was some creat scenes in this book and the festival and dates were a nice change in thing!

Loved the ending and slight clifting hanger that will flow perfectly into book 4 (which I am about to read).

If you love the anime, you will love these books.

Everyone needs a little help once in a while...Even Goblin Slayer!

Very enjoyable read with some brutal fight scenes going on throughout and finishes off with a little tease~!

A slight drawback would be a couple scenes throughout are a little rough and may not be to everyone's taste and can somewhat be difficult to get through. Only very brief.

A village against a horde of goblins. The end. Its a good action volume and the difficulty in dealing with these low level enemies is increasing quite interestingly. But yeah, more of the same, the anime season 1 ends on this chapter, so I might not read much further until season 2 is out.

The volumes which really seem to stand out are the ones where we see more than what iswas shown in teh anime. Here, as a goblin lord arrives the action and gore reaches a level of intensity only hinted at before. It is a wonder to behold and the art is top notch as it all unfolds.
