Award-winning author, C. L. Brees, was born and raised in rural Indiana, a place where the environment was a bit too restrictive to contain his overactive imagination. He needed a place where he could expand his horizons.
In 2011, after relocating to Maryland, he followed his passion for forensics and law enforcement and enrolled at the University of Baltimore. Four years later he earned not only a B.S. in Police Studies but also an M.S. in Cyber Forensics.
This book is going to throw any reader that reads it. I know it did me. I truly did not see what happened coming and I believe no one else will either.
This is one of those books that leaves you on the edge of your seat. It leaves you wanting the next book immediately because you just have to know what it is going to happen next. It is also one of those books that leaves you not only shocked but heartbroken also.
This book has so many twist and turns in it that you do not know if you are going left or if you are going right. C.L. Brees did such an incredible job on this book that you just cannot put it down when you are reading it.
I did not read the first book in this series but the good thing about this series was I was not lost having not read the previous book. I love when a series is like that. I will be definitely reading the next book though. I am really looking forward to seeing what C.L. Brees will have happen next.
If you are looking for a book full of mystery and suspense then this is the book for you. I look forward to more by this author in the future that is for sure.
Was given this galley copy for free for an open and honest review
Thrilling and suspenseful book with great characters. I appreciate the growth in the characters and that their lives flow very organically. I greatly appreciate that the main character is a strong gay man serving his community while not being an issue in any way. Just how the world should be. Can't wait for book 3 since Brees just keeps getting better.
Another dud. Scattered, comically unoriginal, and painfully boring. My selections have not been good as of late. Any and all recommendations are welcome and appreciated
