You know what, I'm giving it 4 stars and to hell with my other thoughts on this one. Sure, there was very little actual piracy on the high seas in this one... Sure, it all essentially takes place over the course of three days which is absurd to think that the leads have managed to fall in love... Sure, there was no sex and really only one sexual encounter between the leads... Sure, it left off at a bit of an odd spot... ... But like I said, to hell with my thoughts, because I actually really liked Lucifer and Genni together so I'm just gonna pipe down over here in the corner and download the next one in this series.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 💋💋 Lucifer, or Rhoan De Wolfe to be precise, is a perfect fallen angel, a gentleman, an honourable knight , a pirate , a priest? All these titles describe our hero of the sea , but how will he fare when he meets his most perfect adversary yet ? Genevieve, my lord what a feisty woman , she’s outspoken and brash , but she’s also tender and hurt easily , with only her sister as companion, and after being sold in matrimony to pay a debt her father owes , her self esteem is low . But through talking and listening to each other Rhoan an Genevieve begin to forge a relationship built on trust and new feelings not explainable. Could it be our pirate hero is in love? I don’t think it’s ever going to be possible that Kathryn will ever throw us a bad book , I’ve yet to read one , and I’ve read them all . This one is a gem as always
“I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own
Again Kathryn Le Veque has given us another great story with excellent unforgettable characters. Love her story telling and such vivid characters, a master storyteller! Can't wait for her new book every time.
If I could give this more than five stars I would. Lucifer and Genevieve are very strong characters. There are such great moments in the story some that will have you laughing out loud. This is book 4 in the Pirates of Britannia series and it did not disappoint. I encourage you to take a voyage with these Pirates and you will see that not only are they fearless and ruthless but they also have honor and deep passion. Each pirate has a story that has shaped them into the Pirates they are. I find it truly wonderful to discover each of their stories and I believe so will you.
Lucifer is the second-in-command of Poseidon's Legion and his Commander is on his wedding trip therefore Lucifer is left to man the legion. One of his duties, as he returns from sea, is to take care of two female prisoners and he's yet to decide what to do with them. When he goes to visit them he finds out that the oldest lass can really cause him a headache. Lucifer is feared by even his own men. His past has turned him into the man that lives up to the name he adopted all those years ago, Lucifer. What men do not know is that he is the legitimate heir of Wolverhampton, Rhoan de Wolfe. There is something about this spitfire woman that cracks Lucifer's walls.
Genevieve Efford and her sister have been held captive ever since these pirates came into their lives. She knows she has to come up with a plan, for she will not go down without a fight. The man called Lucifer is definitely terrifying, but she will not show weakness.
Evil is afoot as well, and it keeps you wondering how things will play out. I love the fact that The Devil's of the Deep are also included in the story. It makes the story so much more intriguing and exciting with laugh out loud and action moments that add depth to the story.
I definitely recommend this story to you, and not just this story, but the entire Series has been excellent. I look forward to the next story.
Genevieve and her sister Vivienne were on a ship being sent to England as Genevieve, or “ Ginni” was being sent against her will to marry an English lord she detested. Ginni’s father was sending her to the lord to pay off a gambling debt, as she was a beautiful prize for the mean old lord. While enroute from Ireland to England by sea, the sisters’ ship is attacked by pirates, overtaken, and the two are captured as hostages to a group of mercenary pirates. The second in charge, a pirate who goes only by the name “Lucifer” has them kept in a gilded tower room in the pirates’ island castle until he can decide what it is he wishes to do with these two women. Should he ransom them back to their father or the English lord. Maybe he could sell them off as slaves or give them as prizes to his fellow pirates. But as Lucifer begins to consider the options, he is spending time with Ginni. She is more than just a pretty woman, she makes him feel things. This is where the story begins to drag the reader in- the two are falling for each other but neither knows of the danger lurking nearby. The plot becomes twisted with intrigue and action and Lucifer must decide how he wishes to go forward. This is a terrific story! It has an enthralling plot, several colorful characters beyond the two main characters, and lots of action too! It’s the third in this series of pirate romances and it’s serious fun. I highly recommend it to romance readers as these pirates are just too much fun!
True to form, Le Veque writes an intriguing storyline. This is the last in a series written by both Eliza Knight and Kathryn Le Veque.
Sea Wolfe is about a man, a de Wolfe, and nobleman, has divorced his past and falls into the life of a pirate. He has amassed riches and misses nothing. He is challenged by the chase, has English and Scot friends – a contented man, happy to remain thus.
That is, until he meets Genevieve Efford, taken prisoner when on the high seas. After being imprisoned at Perran Castle for a month, she’s spitfire angry when Lucifer shows up at the pirate stronghold. Having sworn off women for ten years, he’s not eager to deal with her. But she fascinates him.
Genevieve is eager to leave the stronghold, trying to figure out if she can beguile herself into Lucifer’s good graces and have him promise to let her buy her freedom. After all, pirates are motivated by money.
Both have emotions not foreseen or welcome. In steps one nasty slimeball of a pirate, Curtiz, and all is chaos and hardache.
Will Lucifer admit to his feelings? Will Genevieve want her freedom more than Lucifer? Will kismet bring them together?
I enjoyed the novella. It focused on Rhoan de Wolfe and if you’re a fan of the de Wolfe pack, you’ll enjoy how this story touches that world.
Rhoan de Wolfe has lost himself in the mystique of the powerful pirate known as Lucifer, the mysterious first mate of the leader of the Pirates of Britannia. What a great story! Rhoan de Wolfe aka Lucifer is a man who is scared and bitter. He has also met his match in Genevieve who is his captive. I loved this book! This is the fourth book in the Pirates of Britannia series, but it is also a stand alone story. You should read all of them as this is such a wonderful series. I loved Lucifer and Genevieve’s characters. Lucifer is an uncaring hard man with a past who just wants to sell or ransom off his captives and be done with it until Genevieve sneaks into his hardened heart. This is Lucifer’s journey and Genevieve’s journey and how she helps him to heal and find something he never thought he would find. I loved his book and I would definitely recommend it to readers. I do love Kathryn LeVeque’s books and this one will not disappoint.
Lucifer has been left in command of Poseidon's Legion while his captain is enjoying his wedding trip. The command of the men and the stronghold is easy. What to do with the two female captives is much more troubling. Genevieve Efford was on her way to an unwanted bridegroom in the company of her sister when her father's merchant ship was attacked. The pirates have treated them well so far, but what do they have in mind for them? Our heroine is brave, if foolhardy. She thinks only of escape. Our hero is made to think about the life he left behind before he became a pirate. Can he possibly return to it? A good historical adventure with our favourite pirates. Danger, intrigue and excitement for our heroine. I enjoyed every page, but I must admit to wishing for an epilogue about what happens next.
I loved this story of Lucifer (Sir Rhoan de Wolfe) and his lady, Genevieve Efford. Genevieve was aboard her father's merchant ship when they were weapon by Rhoan and his pirates of the Poseidon's Legion. She and her sister Aaron their way to England where She was to be married to an older man in order to settle her father's gambling debt. She was almost relieved to be taken prisoner by the pirates, which allowed her to get out of her much dreaded nuptials. During her captivity, she and Lucifer struck up a friendship that blossomed, Cunningham both for the better. The only problem I have with this book is that contrary to most every other Le Vecque story I've ever read, this one did not include an epilogue, letting the reader know about what came later. Still, almost as good as her other books about knights and castles!
Having made a few choices that ended in estrangement from his family, Lucifer became a Pirate and has taken two women hostage. Their current situation is marred only by the fact they are prisoners in a beautiful castle, with gorgeous clothes and no way out. Genevieve, who was unhappy with her father's choice of husband for her, is not sure if she wants to return home. Lucifer admires her spunk and tenacity, which leads to spending time with her. But, there is a betrayal by one of his men-can Lucifer save the woman he loves? (Genevieve has to be one of my favorite heroines. Sassy, headstrong, she will love Lucifer until the end of time.)
A good de Wolfe story is always a favorite for me! Add a pirate de Wolfe ... well that’s just yummy! Great story, lots of familiar names if your acquainted with Pirates of Britannia series. The herion was enjoyable, just enough bravado to be a little spit fire and a good mix of female charms to ensnare a de Wolfe! Another Le Veque success!!!!
I was glad that there was a story of Lucifer. Somehow he stood out from all the others when introduced in the other stories. LeVeque has a way with her writing that I find it very hard to put down the book until I finish it. And I read them again. Keep bringing more medival stories, you have my attention.
I feel like this book didn't come to its full conclusion. Spoiler alert: What happened when he went back and faced his Dad? Did he stay until Con came back or did he leave like he originally intended? If he left, who was in charge? What happened with the younger sister? Maybe it is answered in future books, but to me the story wasn't complete.
Another perfect book from the best author you'll ever read. The only problem I have is that it was too short! I recommend all Kathryn Le Veques books, they're the best ever.
A very nice and soft story of love and acceptance of who we are and what we might leave behind. Sometimes wht we consider list might be in front o f out eyes and we be blind to see that is what this story is about
Another happy ending romance with lots of twists and turns. LeVeque does a fabulous job bringing characters together from many story lines. It’s like seeing families again and again.
Actually, a 4.5. It would have been a 5, but it just stopped and left them with their dealing with parents unwritten. The story itself was quick and sometimes unexpected.
Nothing better than an adventure with a pirate. Well on,y if he’s handsome. And kind. And generous. That does not define the fearsome pirate Lucifer... or does it? Awesome and riveting!
Once again I who NEVER write reviews am doing so.The characters in this book are precious. They were so enjoyable that they kept my attention.Great read once again!
