He's hot, sexy, wicked and everything I was taught to avoid.

He makes me wicked too...and I like it.

Annie

Some men defy description.

I deal with books. I know every adjective in the English language and I can’t describe Sabre.

He’s a biker with a filthy mouth and a dirty mind and he sets me on fire.

I’ve lived in the shadows my whole life, afraid to see what is beyond my own little corner of the world.

Sabre makes me step outside my safe zone.

He makes me crave…more.

Sabre

Annie is everything I shouldn’t want.

From that uptight dress to the hair she wears in a damn bun, down to those black rimmed glasses. We don’t fit. A librarian and a biker, and if that’s not cliché enough, she has cats!

I should...

I'm just a simple small town country girl, haunted by Alpha Men who talk in my head 24 hours a day.

I knew I wanted to write when it became clear I couldn't be happy with just viewing other people's stories. I always wanted to rewrite them.

Like why did Jack have to die? Why couldn't Rose move her butt over? Because that was a huge piece of wood she was on, people.

Happy Endings should be fought for, but they should always happen. Mine might take some curves and twists, but they eventually get there.

Having published over fifty stories, it always feels surreal that this is my life. Hitting USA Today had me crying for days, but nothing is more special than hearing from readers that they loved one of my books.

"Craved" tells the story of Anabelle, the Librarian and Preachers daughter with Sabre, the dude I completely blanked out liked to share.
Started out well, insta attraction, some humor, hot love making.. until BAM.. ménage attack.
I've said it a hundred times- if there's a ménage I need to be warned- not a random third person joining in and I'm all like.. not again.
A very common occurrence in MCs but god knows why I keep doing this to myself. The innocent girl going to OTT discovering sexuality happens again.
Anyways, it was hot and well written so it gets the rating it deserves.
Not sure what to say about safety

Instalove, librarian and biker meet up when her car breaks down. He claims her immediately and she’s his old lady within a week. It was a quick read so I made it through but the whole evil preacher/ beater for a father thing was dumb.

I'm totally confused! I've just realised I've already read this book as it was tacked on to the end of Burned. However, now I don't understand what's going on as I've just read Shafted where Sabre is mentioned as being with Stephanie who is the woman of Sabre and Briar. Was Briar Latch? Is this Annie's real name? Somebody explain!!!!

3.5 stars.

I enjoyed this. It was a fun and quick.

Listened to this on audio. I loved Teddy Hamilton's voice, I think I've heard him on a couple other audio books.

My only complaint was the whole safe word thing. Sabre gave Annie a safe word, she used it a couple times and he never stopped. I understood his reasons for why he didn't but the use of safe word means he stops, that's what it's for. The fact that he doesn't made him untrustworthy. Which annoyed me. I would have rated this higher if it wasn't for that one aspect.

12/4/19: Added/updated review because I started listening to Burned (book 2 in the series) and something in that book made me want to come back and add to this review.

So apparently Sabre, Annie, and Latch are in threesome-ish relationship...but while there was a threesome moment with them here, I didn't get the impression that they were together like that. However in Burned Torch mentions hat they are together like that.

Now it could just be that that's his interpretation of their interactions/relationship but it's not actually the reality of their relationship. But it's just something that bugged me a little. I left this book feeling one way, however now as I'm listening to book 2 I'm feeling like Latch got short-changed if this is supposed to be a threesome romance relationship.

So many problems with this book. See shelves. VERY unclear consent, possible Stockholm Syndrome, disturbing “I’m gonna make you my woman” caveman scene, TSTL heroine, completely implausible setup, misogynist AF (but is motorcycle club culture - does that justify? No. There are plenty of other MC romances by another authors that aren’t misogynistic AF). Have seen better plot in porn.

Also billed as a M-F-M ménage but it’s really a M-F with one scene where the M tells the F that his buddy M is gonna join them for a bit of sex but probably just the one time. Perhaps I missed previous character development between the two M’s in previous books in this series; I read this as a stand-alone and don’t intend to read any others by this author (because see above). I had it in my MFM shelf but moved back to MF as there’s no obvious emotional connection between the two M’s.

Craved

Sabre and Annie. A biker and a librarian so different yet made for each other. Pretty much lust at first sight between them. Also, the other members have fallen for Annie/Peaches especially Latch. Like the sister / brother relationship between Latch and Lucy. Beast and Lucy maybe? Can't believe Skull finally knows the truth, time to get his woman and daughter back.

Why

Why did I read this? I was hoping to find out more about what happened to Beth from the first book. But could not even finish it. Not a fan of Sabre at all. Sabre gives Annie a safe word to use and then ignores it when she uses it, MULTIPLE times!!! That right there is enough to have me stop reading! Not a fan of men who want to change the MFC, make her the exact opposite of what she is. Couldn't even finish it because I hate this scenario!

"Love you for several lifetimes"

This is my favorite Devils Blaze MC book by far. Since it was a novella it had much less drama/violence than the other books in the series. I love the closeness between Saber and Annie and that Saber finally frees Annie of her terrible past...and in my opinion her Uncle & Father get their just desserts 😈 or as Saber says an eye for an eye!! I hope that one day Jordan Marie will give Latch his own book to find his forever love😍. Even if you have never read any other books in this series please give this one a try...you don't need to read them in order. ☺

Caught this little beauty at thw end of Burned. Loved this tale of triumph and love. This duo is a joy to read about. Annie just wanted to be free of the evil people who she once called family and finally be free. Sabre wasn't looking at all. Theu come together while in the midst of rivalries and war but find their way to each other. Beautifully written!

Annie/Peaches is another sweet innocent who loves her dirty MC Sabre and maybe his bff Latch too. Nice little story to lighten up the heaviness of Skull/Beth and Torch/Katie's stories. (Yes, I read them out of order)

3...Definitely hot and spicy! And I enjoyed both the main characters this time, still a Beth hater over here! I know this was a novella, thus the quickness, BUT to quick for me! I am enjoying the storyline a little too much...

If I can get past this author's thought/need/inclination to throw a random woman at one of her males and say "now you two are going to be together and you are going to make it work", if I can get past that, then maybe I can like her stories. This is the third time she's done it, both with Beth and Katie and now Annie. That just seams to be her MO.

This again features a woman (Annie) minding her own business and is seen by one of the bikers (Sabre) who "claims" her without telling her and then getting all riled up when she does something he doesn't like b/c he forgot to tell her that they were a couple. She has no choice in the matter and not much say afterwards either. And yeah, that scene of domination by him on their second meeting before he has even told her he is interested in her, that was not cool and not the way to go about it. And Annie says nearly every chapter she does not understand why she likes the way he dominates and I don't understand it either, especially after knowing her history with her father.

So again if I can get past that, and make myself think she did have part in picking the male she wanted, then this story was enjoyable. I would have liked a bit more of the mfm aspect. I would have liked a bit more info on Latch and the relationship he has with Sabre and how this is going to go moving forward.

I feel like a lot of the actual action of the book (the meeting with the Donahues, Annie's confrontation with her father and uncle) was glossed over. At each of those points we are in the other's POV and see what happened after the fact. I was nice to know that Annie was able to take care of herself, but it would have been nice to see.

I know this was a novella, but I think the story and the relationship were hurt for that fact. This could have been made into a much more robust story and been better for it.

As for the overall story, this added just a bit, mostly in the epilogue. One thing I don't understand is Beast's character, I would have expected a lot more sadness from him. but the few times we see him, he acts like it is business as usual.

Narration: Love Teddy and Janet King was fine

Devil's Blaze MC - Book 2 - Craved - by Jordan Marie

This is the second book in the Devil's Blaze MC featuring Annie / Annabelle a twenty six year old woman who works hard as a librarian and when it comes to men is completely innocent. One look at her and Sabre is completely smitten. Sabre is an officer within the Devil's Blaze MC and loves his club above all else. However one look at Annie and his priorities suddenly begin to shift. She is quickly becoming his reason for existence.  This is a beautifully written story with a fast falling biker for a sexy librarian who discovers being naughty is a whole lot of fun. I loved this story, the chemistry between Annie and Sabre was instant and electric, with all our favourite members of the club showing up, especially when Annie needs the club the most when her family try to destroy her new found happiness, because all of the members have taken to Annie without doubt. I thought that this was going to develop into a menage romance and whilst Latch gets involved I completely feel for him because it still remains focussed on the main hero and heroine, Sabre and Annie. I do feel that this author would write a sinfully delicious menage romance, my fingers are crossed for a future release. That being said Latch loves Annie completely and I fear he could be headed for heartbreak. I hope he gets to have his own story told, or Sabre and Annie revisited as Latch becomes a permanent fuxture within their relationship and not just for fun now and again. I hope Latch finds his own happily ever after because he truly deserves one. I'm also intrigued to learn more about Latch's younger sister Lucy and the mystery biker she has her heart set on. Lots to still look forward to and more news for Skull to deal with as his life continues to fall apart. This is a shorter read then usual but still packs one hell of a punch. I hope we see more of Annie, Sabre and Latch in future books. Overall another great read, well done Jordan! Happy Reading.

Quick reading Insta-love novella

While this could be read as a stand-alone, I recommend it be read in series order for maximum reader satisfaction, as there are reoccurring characters, concurrent timelines and overarching themes.

** Should be read before Burned: A Devil’s Blaze MC Book 2 **

⛔️ Contains references to, or detailed scenes, with subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language; steamy adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, restraints, dubious consent, sensory deprivation, spankings for punishment and pleasure, masochism, sadism; violence with kidnapping, abduction, murder, torture, assault, strict religious beliefs, child abuse, domestic violence, etc.

There are a few grammatical issues; primarily missing and extra inserted words. The world building happens quickly, which is to be expected with a novella. Since it is within the Devil’s Blaze MC universe it helps bring it to life that much faster and provides some references to the genre.

In this story, Beth moved to Kentucky to escape her home life in Illinois. Her father raised her in a very strict religious environment where it was believed it was acceptable to beat a female that didn’t follow the tenants and/or laws of his faith. Needless to say she has been sheltered and is completely innocent.

Sabre sees her on the side of the road. Looks like the water pump went out and her car overheated. Can’t leave her out there in record heat, so gives her a ride home and gets a couple of the guys to come get her car and fix it. She just radiates a light that he needs, so he makes the snap decision that he will have her, especially when he can see his attraction is returned.

Who knew that everything he never knew he needed can be found in a small curvy librarian?

An insta-everything novella that’s packed full of chemistry and steam.

Annie is beyond innocence, she grew up in a religious home, her father is a pastor that beat it into her with a belt that she wasn’t to waver from his beliefs.

Annie was incredibly sweet and just as sassy, she went from meek mouse to sassy defiance in the blink of an eye, and I adored her all the more for it.

Sabre is part of Devil’s Blaze, and this big bad biker took after his President because with one look he knew that Annie was going to be the woman he claimed.

I loved how Annie went along with things, but also wasn’t afraid to ask questions. Her dad was a Devil teaching a skewed version of religion, but his daughter proved to be a far better human than he could ever pretend to be. She had all the reasons in the world to allow hate to fill her heart, but he didn’t beat the loving nurturing side out of her.

This also has some important information in it about where the Devil’s Blaze MC is at in the time since the end of Captured.

This series is so beyond addictive and I can’t wait to finish rereading it.

Enjoyed this. Read if back a couple of years ago, don't know why my review is missing so here it is again. This definitely an easy, sexy little read. I do admit though that I would have preferred Latch to be brought more in to their romance and actually be apart of their lives. The way it was written I felt like they were kinda using him and felt sad for him, which I didn't like. Latch really needs to fall in love, so defo needs his own book. Quickly please author!!! As for the rest of the book however, as I said I liked it. This is a lighter, funnier, very short quick novella, which actually was a nice way to break up the more serious books in the series.

I do like this author, I loved her Devils Blaze series and her Savage MC series, which I gave all the books 4&5 stars too. It's why I was so disappointed with her Savage MC Tennessee chapter books, all of which I found boring and only gave 2 stars too. But I really enjoyed this one. It's not as detailed as the other books in the series because it is only a novella, but I still felt the end just, ended. Again I wanted more of Latch with them, probably why it felt like if ended to abruptly. But hopefully JM will write Latch's book soon. And at only 0.99p, with sexy hot scenes, I can't complain. So 4 stars.

This is a novella - very short and "hot." I listened to it in audio - and Teddy Hamilton was the male narrator so ..... there is that!!! It wasn't great - but it was pretty good. Not much story to it. I could have skipped it and been ok except the very last 3 minutes ..... and been fine with the series. I have already started the next book in the series "Burned" and there is a little back story - and within the "introduction" it pretty much brings us to where the last 3 minutes of this book is.

This book is all sex - little story. Nothing meaningful to add to the series (in my opinion). Liked both lead characters Annie and Sabre. The cover makes it look like the book is about 3 people .... but really it's not (there is a scene - but they are by no means all together). Annie/Peaches is a 26 year old virgin librarian with a horrible family. Sabre is well .... a sex driven biker who instantly knows he wants her the minute he sees her. He knows he wants her for more than just a fun time and as his old lady as soon as he touches her. I did like that there was soooo much LESS drama than the first one. I am not huge into MC books - but this series reviews are so good and the audio is included in my SCRIBD subscription so I figured I would give it a try.

Unacceptable Behavior, breach of consent

I could not finish this book because it was simply infuriating.

The male main character, barges into her living room uninvited, punches a guy in the face and when she tells him to stop he drags her into her bedroom, pulls out a knive, mind you she's terrified by now, cuts of her clothes, then gives her a safe word and ignores it multiple times as he has his way, even going as far as to tell her to shut up when she uses it.

Though she seems to enjoy it to some degree, it is unacceptable to ignore her safe word.
Ignoring that safe word is most definitely a breach of consent and is grossly treated as a fun sexy trait of his.

That's not how it works, it's not only infuriating but sets dangerous standards for anyone who read this and doesn't know any better. Usually when a character does something of the sorts he's labeled abusive or dangerous but here it's treated like it's sexy. Safe words exist so people can tap out when it's too much, or to draw lines that shouldn't be crossed, they ensure a level of trust and crossing them is unacceptable in every way.

Good novella wished for more Sabre

This novella as it is called in the introduction is good, but Sabre and Annabelle needed more to their story. I enjoyed it but wanted some history on Sabre. What made it into he who he is? Does he have any blood family? Who is Latch? How did Sabre and Latch become BFF? I like Annabelle. We do get a bit of he backstory of abuse from he dad and Uncle Carl. Annabelle surprised me with that move. So proud that she showed strength and smarts. It was a big accomplishment and I wish the Sabre and Latch would have given her some props for her courage. I would not have minded seeing these three become a thing, but this romance is interesting. . . Read On!

Craved: A Devil's Blaze MC Novella

Be sure to read this between book 1&2. I had just started book 2 when I found it & realised it needed to be next, so stopped and read this instead. Book 2 makes reference to things in this one. It may be a novella but it isn't that short, plus it's a real good read. Annie's father is a fire breathing minister, she has the scars to prove it, mental & physical. She's in a different town & working as a librarian and is a total innocent, Sabre is far from it, he meets her when her car breaks down, says he'll get it fixed and delivered to her house then takes her home on his bike. Their attraction is instant and lasting

Short and sweet

I really enjoyed reading this. It was short, sweet, and made me laugh. I rated a 3 rather than a 4 because of how unrealistic it was. I would have enjoyed a little more of the story though, or more of an epilogue. I didn’t realize beforehand that this was a serious for another mc member (which this seems like it might be partial into the series so I won’t be reading....don’t like to go back in time) and that disappointed me.

I can’t over the safe word being ketchup. I lol forever hearing her scream it in my head while I was reading. That was the best.

I would rate this 0 stars if I could. I don’t know how the author could be okay with putting something like this out there, the male protagonist has one conversation with the female protagonist and then decides he literally owns her and I quote “is his property” the first sexual interaction begins with him repeatedly ignoring her YELLING her safe word? Is this a joke? Completely disgusting book with no redeeming qualities

Moving on to book 2 which is Burned … let’s see if we get more resolve in Beth and Skulls story.
Annie and Sabre’s story was ok, just not sure why the author didn’t just keep continuing on with the storyline since the books are not single couples.

This is a short motorcycle club novella that I enjoyed a lot. I don't always enjoy novellas as they usually lack a plot, feel rushed, and often are just about s*x. That's not true for this one. This one had a good plot and good character build. Sabre is a very hot dominating character who brings Annabelle into herself. The intimate scenes are HOT.

I should know by now that anytime a MC is involved there will be something that makes me cringe. The insta-love and even his lack of sensitivity to her being a virgin was bearable but her "punishment"... Yeah, no!

The beginning of Annie and Sabre

This was a great little novella to give some background on the beginning of Annie, Sabre, and Latch. It is also where we finally learn about Beth and the ramifications of the choices they all made.
