5 Dark Chocolate Yumminess Stars!!! (Review of Caught for Christmas)
I’m going to say it. This is one of my favorite novellas evah. I could live in Skye Warren’s World of Darkness forever.
Aw, yeah, gimme some West. Ever since I met West, I was so intrigued by him. We meet West in the Stripped Series. He is a bouncer and takes care of the girls. A perfect gentleman….on the outside. Thankfully, he gets dirty dirty in this novella. He is my dark chocolate yumminess. Bianca is in a pickle. She needs money for her Mom and Dad (who are constantly asking her for money). When they come to her to tell her they are in danger, requesting a large sum, she knows she has to go to extremes to get the money. Bianca decides to steal the money from the club, but of course, West catches her. I can't tell you what happens. You just have to read it.
I loved loved loved these two. West & Bianca are everything. When West catches her in the act, and what is done afterward, was so hot I could barely stand it. And it wasn't even that dirty. Lol. I don't know how Skye Warren makes the simple acts of life dirty, but she does.

CAUGHT FOR CHRISTMAS:
A quick and sexy read that is offered in the Kisses for Christmas boxset, but that is also a novella from the Stripped world, although it can be read as a standalone.
When I realized that I was way behind on the Skye Warren backlist, I decided to devour some novellas that she had up for free and found that once I started it was just impossible to stop.
In Caught for Christmas, Bianca is forced to make a hard choice to save her con-artist parents who have gotten themselves into trouble. But to save them, she must betray her boss and a man who she has grown to care for. West might be known for being a good guy, but he’s not as pure as everyone thinks. Watching Bianca at the club, he knows something is wrong and catching her trying to steal from the club forces them both to face their attraction and her situation.
Skye Warren is able to completely captivate you as a reader and draw you into the story. In such a short period of time you are wrapped up in the characters of this story. Knowing that this is a small part of a bigger series, makes me want to move that up to the top of my TBR list. Hell, 2018 might just be the year of Warren.
BEDTIME STORY:
Bedtime Story was a fantastic short read that focuses on a woman who finds herself on the run, and a cop that comes to her rescue. While I believe this story might tie into one of her other series, this can be read as just a fun in-between-reads novellas.

Well fuck. What a way to start a story.
Angel is looking for a fresh start after taking the fall for her boyfriend, landing herself behind bars. Taking on a temp position for an ogre of a boss, has her willing to do just about anything to stay employed. But when Gage mistakes the meek girl in his office as an escort and even though she’s confused by the things he’s saying, she doesn’t say no.
They come to an understanding as Gage regrets his actions and Angel explains her need of a job – but now that he’s touched her once, he can’t seem to stop his desire – but there’s a darkness that lives in him and it isn’t until she pushes him to expose his deepest secrets, that he unleashes it.
I really loved the dynamic of this story – the start was a great moment and I really could have read a few hundred more pages just focused on these two characters.

These are the 1st books I read by Skye Warren. HIS FOR CHRISTMAS 🎄🎅🎁: I was happy for the woman trying to turn her life around. I'm sorry though I stopped reading this story at chapter 4 because nothing about this story felt like Christmas 🎄🎅🎁. BEDTIME STORY: I'm sorry I stopped reading this story at chapter 4 because it didn't hold my interest & it didn't have nothing to do with Christmas. CAUGHT FOR CHRISTMAS 🎄🎅🎁: I'm sorry I stopped reading this story at chapter 2 because it didn't grab my interest. None of these stories felt like Christmas to me.

*His for Christmas: A Dark Billionaire Romance -4.5 stars - I wouldn't call this a dark read but it was enjoyable.
*Bedtime Story - 3 stars - Jessica and her son Ky are first introduced in The King(Masterpiece Duet #1). She was Penny's waitress friend. Jessica is from Tanglewood the same town from Masterpeice duet/Stripped takes place. The story ended very suddenly. Wish we would have gotten a little epilogue or something.
*Caught for Christmas (Stripped #3.5) - Not going to read. I already finished this series and have no desire to go back.

Angel Cole is recently out of prison (for a crime of ignorance, really) and takes a holiday temp job for Gage Thompson, who the media calls the "Big Bad Billionaire". He's gruff and seeks paid matchups only because he fears he'll become his father. The story is sweet, in its way, and a bit of a Cinderella story.

Whereas the first was a Cinderella-ish story, this the author calls "the sexy modern retelling of Sleeping Beauty". This one didn't have a holiday feel, but I liked Finn, as well as Jessica and lil Ky. I would've enjoyed it more had the story been longer, but it was a sweet story of two troubled souls finding their HEA (rather quickly and suddenly, but it's a short story so that's expected). The author notes: "You can meet Jessica and Ky where they were first introduced in the Masterpiece duet, starting with USA Today bestseller The King."

I liked parts of this one - the main characters, mainly. The story around them felt a bit predictable. 4.5 stars for me
I really enjoyed this Christmas Anthology from Skye Warren. It's definitely not your usual festive read full of sweetness and fluffy Christmas joy. It's a bit darker, a bit kinkier and in my opinion way better. You get 3 different couples and their Christmas stories.
Caught for Christmas - Bianca finds happiness when West finally shows her what it means to be loved
His for Christmas - a misunderstanding in the office turns out to be the best thing to happen to Angel
Bedtime Story - can two broken souls learn to love and trust again.
Definitely recommend to anyone looking for something a bit different this Christmas season.

Caught for Christmas: 4 stars. Eh, an extremely unlikeable heroine, but he's an overprotective, anything for her type. So that redeemed it.
His For Christmas: 5 stars. Hottttttttttt. I need a spray bottle of Evian and a fan. Maybe some smelling salts. This was too steamy for me with my morning coffee. Should've saved this for evening, a truffle, and my glass of pinot noir. He likes it rough, y'all.
Bedtime Story: 3 stars. Not terrible, yet nothing special. A Sleeping Beauty story. A reformed cop becomes a knight in shining armor. Er....A knight in a bullet proof vest? And somehow fits into the Masterpiece series? I think?

Yeah. No. Not for me. I didn't like the sensual interactions between the characters. What was supposed to be hot was just weird. Maybe because they were 3 short stories and not much development between the characters, but something was off.

Okay, His For Christmas was just plain weird. It felt like watching a train wreck. I wanted to look away but I just couldn’t. Their original romantic encounter was very unusual. I felt a bit violated reading it but that’s just a personal thing. The steamy-ness and the chemistry was there but the application was a too edgy for my tastes.
The beginning of Bedtime Story had some potential but ultimately deflated in the end. Not only did the story have no real plot or climax, but the whole story wasn’t very cohesive at all. It was more of a half finished or rough draft of a story than anything else.
Caught for Christmas was the big winner in this boxed set! It had depth, it had chemistry. It was super intense and had a great plot line. It was effing phenomenal. I’m going to keep my eye out for future novels by this author.

Three hot and steamy Christmas stories all wrapped up with a seductive bow.
His For Christmas:
Boy oh Boy oh Boy! What an amazing return to the dark and seductive world of Skye Warren. His For Christmas was a naughty little novella which reminded me of The Pawn and Gabriel and Avery.
From the very first chapter, Ms. Warren spins her web and lures you in, trapping you with the very provocative sexual proclivities of Mr. Thompson. He likes what he likes and that includes having his women prepared to give him what he needs even if things get a little rough. Angel Cole is up to the task. She doesn’t think Mr. Thompson is half as depraved and he makes himself out to be and she likes his forceful yet caring nature. He may think he goes too far but she enjoys every minute of it.
If anyone knows how to make us fall in love with depraved men and create strong female characters who love them, despite and because of who they are, it is Skye Warren.

Overall, I liked it. 3.5ish stars. Definitely not a happy cheery holiday collection but okay anyway.

Bedtime Story, 4 stars. I liked it. A woman on the run for her and her baby's safety gets help from a small town cop. Written specially for this boxset but are characters from the Masterpiece duet. Nothing Christmassy about it, I don't even think it takes place in the winter.
Caught for Christmas, 3 stars. Just okay. I couldn't stay in the story easily because of too many small writing details that bugged me.
I wish that story wasn't the last in the book because it left a sour taste in my mouth for the whole set.
Overall, I liked it. 3.5ish stars. Definitely not a happy cheery holiday collection but okay anyway.

3 great novellas
I loved these 3 novellas. They where sexy, hot and a bit of dark thrown in.
His for Christmas is dark romance about a ceo and a temp employee who has steamy late night encounter. It was steamy and had me tear up a bit.
Bedtime Story is a modern take on sleeping beauty. I thoroughly enjoyed this book about a sheriff who pulls over a young mother who’s on the run. Loved it!
Caught for Christmas is a novella about a would be thief and the guy who catches her. Very sexy and loved the chemistry between the two characters.
Love Skye Warren and some of these characters maybe familiar to you!

Very nice collection of three novellas from Skye Warren that vary in heat from sweet to steamy. "His for Christmas" is my favorite. An ex-con who begins a steamy affair with her temporary boss. And yes, this one is definitely steamy! "Bedtime Story" felt incomplete, reading the blurb this is just a small look into the characters' story - I want to check out their complete story. Last but not least is "Caught for Christmas" about a dancer who gets led down the wrong path by her dirt bag parents and the bodyguard who only wants to help her. Lots of chemistry between the couple and steamy too!

Three short novellas at Christmas
I love Skye's work. She never lets me down. But the reason for the 4 stars were that These stories never had the time to develop. These three novellas were short and sweet, maybe too short and sweet. I mean the first story they fell in love in one day. That is just too unbelievable. They all were just too fast and just too farfetched. The girls were damsels in distress and the guys were knights coming to save them, but they needed to be longer to give them more depth and substance. The stories themselves were good and I liked the characters, there just wasn't enough time for them to develop.

All are great little stories about finding love when you least expect it!
1) His for Christmas
A cute story between Gage and Angel both overcoming their pasts and finding each other at Christmas
2) Bedtime Story
When Jessica Beck escapes her violent ex with her child she doesn't expect to find love again with someone that is in the same type of career as her ex.
3) Caught for Christmas
Bianca is 18 when she is caught stealing a wallet to help pay back a debt of her parents when she is caught by West. Yet little does Bianca know that she is caught in a much bigger web than she can possibly realize but maybe she has finally found someone that can save her.

Weirdly young women. Too much violence.
They're novellas. Keeping a main character consistent shouldn't be that difficult. But in the first one, our hero? goes from confused but actually gentle to rather nasty and mean within a few days. The second one doesn't have an ending, or much of a plot. It starts fine, but fizzles out. The final story is the only complete, satisfying one, with decent characters, a good plot, some excitement... It gets really uncomfortable in a scene that is supposed to be sexy but it is actually more creepy than anything else.

Conflicted
All three stories have characters with daddy issues and mothers who are present or non existent.
And I'm no feminist but can't these women save themselves. In a sense they do but not for long without a modern day knight. It's cool just the daddy issues were a turn off but again it's suppose to be modern day fairy tale. The caught for Christmas is the most intriguing.
Now their were about of grammatical errors. Like where a he or she s should have been.

Not Great!
3 short novellas; each one about a different 18yo FMC, with a dark and tragic past, who meets a dark and tormented man and they end up with a dubious HEA. Each story had potential but due to the shortness of it, I found them lacking.
The heat factor is sizzling and, if I had to choose, I would say the 3rd novella was the best of the lot.
Very poorly edited, which has contributed to the low rating

This is an anthology of Christmas novellas. If you are looking for warm and fuzzy Christmas stories this is not for you. These novellas include strong sassy females and hot alpha males. It is dark romance that will leave you short of breath from the steamy sexiness.

Skye Warren always puts more Merry in Christmas! This boxed set was super, and Bedtime Story was my favorite. Written in fairytale style, Jessica and Finn navigate a first time encounter. One is running from a past while the other is struggling to move on from it. Will they trust enough and love again. Great warm & fuzzy for the holidays. Happy Reading!!!
