It was supposed to be an easy mission. Find a mythical city and the flower that could save his family. Declan T’Alq had hoped it wouldn’t take long, and he could join his brothers in training for space combat, but nothing had gone as planned.

She was a legend and a brutal warrior that few could match in skill. Yet, her isolated life left her completely unprepared for the large man who shouldn’t have been able to find her home or invade her heart.

Caught between opposing duties and honor, the two must find a way to compromise or the consequences could destroy everything they both love.

This series of books always makes me think and ponder how much of it could be truth. I absolutely love this entire series and really want the "good guys" to all find their mates and win all the wars with no one dying or being traumatically hurt. I know that's unreasonable and definitely unrealistic, as there are always casualties in war, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed through every book. This book was another great addition to the world that Mikayla Lane has built. I loved Declan and Nailani, meeting the Guardian of War and his wife, Amber, and re-connecting with so many great characters. The situations they find themselves in can stick to high heaven at times, but they all seem to band together to find a way forward. I will definitely be reading more from Mikayla Lane, I NEED to know how it all works out.

If you love sci-fi/fantasy mixed in with your romance, these three series are for you. You'll need to read in publication date order to keep up with the timeline of all of the series.

Another amazing addition to this huge saga

I always read these as soon as they become available and I’m rarely disappointed. One thing to be aware I wouldn’t consider these stand alone books. While each one is good in order to understand the nuances you need to read the other books. I guess you might be able to read it outside the others but honestly, there is a lot lost without the back stories. I highly recommend each one. The first wave series is my favorite then the second wave with the third wave coming in third. I do recommend also reading them in order of publication as now the waves are intermixed... while I have been using kindle unlimited to get these they are good enough that I will be purchasing each one to re-read (they are that good). I can not recommend Mikayala Lane enough. BTW these pop up in romance however, I would consider them more of a science fiction saga as the romance tends to be relegated to back burner or side note most of the time.

WOW! This Series just FANTASTIC!

Declan is a wonderful addition to the "FIRST, SECOND and THIRD WAVE SERIES!
I would definitely read the prior books before reading about Declan and Nalini. I actually went back and reread all of the SECOND WAVE books again before reading Declan, and I'm glad that I did. It helped refresh my memory and made this book so much more enjoyable.
This book brings a lot of different threads together from prior books and sets up stories for the future!
I can't wait for the next book to come out next month!!

Great continuation of series

These intertwined series (First Wave, Second Wave and Third Wave) are some of the best writing I've read in years. The storyline is exciting and thought provoking with characters you find yourself rooting for in battle. These series are the first alien sci-fi I've ever read in my 50 years and I'm glad I found them.

I swear this is my all time favorite author. Her books are phenomenal and I search everywhere to find them. I strongly recommend reading this series. I hope they figure out how to help their dad soon.

It was a bit slower than others in the series, but necessary to the series.

Declan

Each book in this series gets more complex. Sometimes it is hard to keep all the plots straight, but I can't put down and it is excellent writing
