I lent this book to one of my freshmen, who has trouble reading and getting engaged in a text, and she absolutely loved this story. She was very intrigued by the story and enjoyed the characters. I think her biggest interest was the eyes of the boy on the cover... I gave it to her during study hall, and when class ended, she was already a good chunk in. I really appreciate authors who create fantastical stories to get our youth interested and reading :)
I won this book on Goodreads, and I enjoyed it very much. It is a story about Laddin Shahera and his adventures. Laddin is hired by the sultan to steal L.A.M.P. It is a program that gives you your every desire. If Laddin steals Lamp, he becomes a king. If not, well, that's where all the adventure comes in. This is a fun-filled and thrilling book to read. Go along for the ride.
This was a great, fun read! I've seen lots of adaptations of classic fairy tales written for girls, but this is the first time I've seen it with a male main character. There is plenty of character development romance too, though. Personally I preferred the strong female lead Sperry wrote for his Immortal Light series, but the characters here have such loyalty and resourcefulness it's a delight.
