First hand account of the last days of the war in Berlin as experienced by a Danish journalist. In addition to this comes a description of the follwing three months where the author together with the last remaining staff from the Danish legation in Berlin were taken to a prisoner-of-war camp outside Moscow.

This book is a diary - I would have loved a postscript explaining why they ended up Soviet prisoners and how exactly they got out again.

Overall, a brilliant book telling a very important story.
