Prison Fling belongs to a unique genre that carries a certain charm if done right but generally, sucks. Well, guess how terrible this book must have been for me that I couldn't even give it a whole star as a rating.
It was pure madness from the get-go, and that's so sad because the synopsis seemed delicious, yet in fact, had nothing to do with the actual story. A story that is inexcusably trash and filled with errors. Grammatical errors, check. Syntax errors, check. Continuity errors, double check. And let's not talk about the plenty euphemisms for woman genitalia or the dreadful sex scenes cause I just can't...
In all seriousness, I didn't expect to read a book about female empowerment or anything like that, when I snatched this one up and I'm almost always ok with tasteful Alpha-maleness sic when done right, but let's face it, there was nothing right about this book.
Mason and Laney had a messed up story, all thanks to the incredulity that followed them in every encounter. I would have liked the story even with the false synopsis, if it was nicely written, properly edited and if it contained even a smidgen of something "real". But I couldn't find anything to work with. *sighs*

I have no idea how this book has gotten so many 5 star ratings. It is one of the worst things I have ever read.
I DNF at 10% because I couldn't take it anymore. The writing style, character conversations, and internal dialog were bad. The timelines didn't add up, situations didn't make sense, editing was horrible. This was so immature and read like a 15 year old boy in Juvy, with a lot of fantasies but no actual experience wrote it. Main characters were completely unrealistic and unbelievable. The puddle leaking vagina was way over the top, self love and sex scenes were unbelievable.
In other words, I'm sorry Cassandra Dee, it's complete shit.

This was a very, very bad book. If I could give this book a negative star I would. I probably won't read anymore books from this author that's how much I dislike this book. The plot had such potential but the author couldn't deliver. The writing was just so bad. For instance words like lovestick and calling a clit a mini dick was used a lot. The author also describes a woman being wet as slimy. I repeat Slimy !!!!!! What the hell !!! The descriptive words used are just bad. Laney sounds like she's either 400 pounds or maybe slim waisted and a big ass. I'm not sure which. Cassandra also keeps referring to the hero as the billionaire more than his actual name. They have sex in the prison and she's screaming but no one ever hears her. If you want to read a very, very bad book then pick this book.

As of when i downloaded this
The blurb was incorrect .... and i DNF’d at 9%. I need those few mins of my life back.... there are deleted scenes .... it’s kind of funny that those scenes were better than the book
The h was going out on dates while she was thinking of the H while he was in prison .... she had no feelings for the guy... but she would allow him to kiss her cheek and get her to go out..... she saw him in one way and the other guy thought something else....
The writing style is prob one of the worst i have seen from the main author.... the author. Made him a complete 45 kind of guy and she was a brainless and spineless in a lot of the story and just had no grasp of reality and acted like she was 15....
The Epilogue ends at 26% FYI.... they added deleted scenes after that ended at 28% .....
My dislike isn’t the safety/OM issue.... it’s just the way it was written and if i could get my time back I would put this on my list of KU authors bulking up books to gain more $$$$ ...

Prison Fling is a hot story about two people that have instant intense chemistry as soon as they meet. Laney is a sweet girl at the prison helping the prisoners set up a newspaper. While there she meets Mason a felon wrongly convicted. Mason is a no-nonsense guy that doesn't take crap from anyone, so when he meets Laney he makes sure everyone knows she is his. Laney has no problem letting Mason take what is his. Which we all know is a hot and heavy way. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.

This is a dumb book. The writing does not feel genuine. Did anyone read this book before publishing it? Seriously, how is it that she is The male lead is not particularly likeable and the female lead is a wet noodle. Her friends are idiots, at best.

It didn't impress me so much! When I saw the plot of this book I was instantly captivated by it. So I picked it. Let me get straight. The first part it was kind of unrealistic. It was hard to believe some of her attitude/choices. After 20℅ of it, I was ready to drop it. But my romantic side didn't let me, so I keep reading, to see what happens next. As the story goes on, it earn quantity too. I can't say it gets great , but anyway let put it like decent. You know what happens when you have read plenty of great romance? You are able to see a story's imperfections. This one gets some evident ones. As you know a main part of a good romance are the hot scene. This story has or want to have great, and dirty scenes. They are there. But it's all a rush, sometimes the details didn't flit and it gives the impression of law quantity. The storyline? It might be really good, if the development were not so predictable. The characters. Laney? She wants to seem an innocent girl, but she's a naughty girl, instead. It may be great. And I would like her, if and this is a huge if some of her choices were not so hard to believe. I 100℅ see that she has some hot fantasies, but don't forget she's a innocent. And she demands some dirty things for her first time, that are nearly impossible to believe. Cause they need some.... experience and time, if you get what I'm trying to say. But she fall in love with the bad/billionaire boy, so let to try to understand her, because all we know love get it's unspeakable reasons. And him? Well he is dirty as hell. He's the master of the dirtiest things you can imagine. Name it and he will give it to you. Again all go so fast. I have nothing against a fast and hard love story. But at this one miss some elementary things. The main point is: it's a nice story(with so dirty talks and scenes) but I would expected something more from it.

Mason Evercore is in prison for insider trading. A crime he didn't commit. He is biding his time until he can be free again. Then one day he spots Laney. She is volunteering at the prison and he knows he must have her. Laney, a journalist is volunteering at the jail. She and her coworkers are helping inmates produce a local jail paper. What she does not intend to find their was Mason. He has her wanting everything she never thought she desired. Since meeting him, he has ruined all other men for her. These two go on to build a prison romance and decide to take if further after Mason is free. However, things did not go the way they have planned and now both of them must do something about it.
A perfect paring of two amazing authors. This story was sinfully, decadent. Good girl, Alpha Male made for one explosive story. The story has a few twist in the end that I thought made the story even better . Can't wait for more!

Oh Gawd! I'm scarred for life! LOL
Not my first rodeo about this kind of read,but damn.
Unrealistic, yeah, but usually books like these are just like that.
Did I enjoy this book? A little. Probably because I'm not in the mood for some porn-ish action read. I mean, I do read books like this sometimes. I'm no prude, that's for sure. But this is just too unrealistic for me.
Still a good read and entertaining enough. Recommending this book to those Alexa Riley fans.

Prison Fling by Cassandra Dee and Katie Ford a sublime book that will leave you wanting more. It was brilliant, there was drama and passion and a story that will have you hooked. Cassandra Dee is an author I adore and Katie Ford is fast becoming another author I can’t put down, they write together in a way that the words flow seamlessly and you can’t tell when one starts and the other finishes.

This is one of those books that you almost don't want to admit you read... you know, kinda like your secret obsession with Keeping Up With the Kardashians? Yeah, that's what I felt like this book was for me. The first half, anyway. I really liked the premise of the story and falling in love in prison, but when the story moved from the prison to the main guy being freed, it went from a guilty pleasure to something I abhorred. Mason wasn't all that likeable to begin with, but the last half he was purely a pansy. He just up and ignored Laney because of something he didn't get the full story on? No, scratch that - he didn't bother to get a story at all. He just stormed out like a teenager without confronting the issue. *sigh* For a book that had some... pretty interesting descriptions of sex, you would think the main characters would be a little more mentally developed. Whatever. It was over pretty quick, so no harm no foul. I'll just never recommend this book to anyone or anything.

I just can't find anything likeable about this. Virgin begs for anal on her first go, then going
from the front to the back door an back again with no cleaning up, ick, not only is it disgusting it's going to give this chick an infection.
Next up is the writing, a grown man yet then entire time he refers to breasts as boobies and I swear if he caller her "the female" one more time I was going to snap.
Honestly this was my least favorite read in recent memory, I generally can find something good to comment on but this one just didn't work in any way for me.
And finally the blurb, this was not a penpal situation, I'm not sure what book the blurb belongs to but it's not this one.

Mason is in prison for something he didn't do and is going crazy waiting for his lawyer to finally get him out. He watches how other prisoners have visitors and he has none and its beginning to take a toll on him. Laney is a journalist and she volunteers with some other journalist to work with prisoners and create a newsletter. While at the prison she meets Mason and instantly attracted to him but tries to hide it. Mason knows the minute he sees Laney that she is his. When the start working together its just little looks passing back and forth soon its a stolen kiss. Mason plots how he can get Laney alone during her visits and then on one visit they end up in a closet having sex. Laney wants to be with Mason and is willing to wait however long it will take to have him. He wants her to know he is serious about her and asks her to marry him in the prison chapel. Laney can't believe he really wants her. Then on the day of his appeal he ends things with her without any reason. Laney thinks he used her to pass the time until he was free. Will Mason explain what's going on to Laney? Will Laney give Mason another chance?
This was a great quick read. I loved how dominant the Mason character is and how he is goal oriented in only claiming Laney and getting his freedom. Laney needed more confidence but by the end she came into her own. If you haven't read anything by this author grab this book you won't regret it.

Laney is a sweet young journalist and volunteers with a few others to work in a prison putting together a prison newsletter. It is there that she meets Mason. Now Mason is in his mid forties and a multi billionaire who has been wrongfully imprisoned because of false charges of insider trading. He is very frustrated but when he sees Laney for the first time, he knows that she is going to be his. At first it's all sweet little glances, then eyes meeting and lingering. Ultimately he gets her in a cupboard and they have hot, lustful sex and are lucky enough not to get caught. No spoilers form me but things do speed up very quickly and he proposes but what will happen with him in prison and her on the outside. They don't really know each other and misunderstandings can happen. Will they get their own HEA? Cassandra Dee is very well known for writing very naughty, hot, steamy, lust filled, sexy scenes that you will need to have a fan switched on maximum for colling you down and you probably need a cool drink too! Katie Ford is a new writer to me and this is certainly an interesting storyline and different from the other books that are being released about now So I will be looking out for more of her stories too. if you like hot and passionate books with alpha males and feisty females then this is the book for you. I received an arc of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here.

3.5 "steamy" stars
I'm very familiar with Cassandra Dee's works but this one is my first one from Cassandra Dee and Katie Ford, so I'm very excited reading this one.
A hot prison inmate and a young shy journalist, oh yeah this couple piqued my curiosity, I was so exciting to find out how they will end up.
I thought this one will be a dark romance but it's not dark at all, it's full of love, lust and romance.
There's drama and angst and there are some moments that I can't put it down, waiting something bad happening. Yup I really enjoying this book.
Although there's some missed details and there are some hot scenes that a bit too much for me and got me cringe, I still like the story nonetheless.
As for characters, I love how dominant Mason is, he always get what he wants. Although he made giant mistake, I love how he grovel, and in the end, I do love this man.
And Laney, she's such a kind girl, but I kinda don't like her when she's belittling and judging someone, even though she's not saying it out loud, I found it a bit rude, she wants to be herself but she got annoyed when someone else just trying to be themselves.
As for their connection, I love how their insta-love develop to real love. It's so sweet.
If you're looking a different kind of billionaire romance, this one is for you.

Love, one never knows when or where it will come around. Mason is a billionaire accused and convicted of insider trading and winds up in prison. It does not matter that the charges are false, he is sentenced to two years. Laney is a young journalist who, along with her colleagues, decides to volunteer at the prison where Mason is being held. When Mason sees Laney, their attraction is like a live wire full of electricity. It is then and there that Mason decides that Laney is his. After spending a short time together, Mason proposes although they do not really know each other that well. Fast forward a few months and a misunderstanding arises. Will Mason be able to rectify the situation or will he lose Laney for good? Cassandra Dee and Katie Ford have created an engrossing storyline filled with steamy scenes and passion that has the reader panting all the way through. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for an interesting twist and enjoy reading about hot alpha males with their spirited counterpart.

What happens when a virgin'ness journalist( Laney ) with a naughty inner self just waiting to be let out, she volunteers her time to start a prison paper at the San Nemo Flordia State Penitentiary. Where the man, she mentors, is a supremely alpha bad boy billionaire ( Mason ) accused of insider trading- who holds the key to letting out her inner naughty self? One helluva hot story!
I mean come on! A hotter than hades storyline, with a few twists and turns, and sweet heat romance to boot! Once started reading this steamy passion filled goodness I was freaking hooked! Loved these characters so much, * even if I think Laney needed to tell the men in her life to shut up sooner ( no way, would I listen to that much nonsense J/S ha!) * I enjoyed every maddening, sweet, fan the flames moment!

This is a great story about finding love in the most unlikely places. There are some ups and downs I really want to tell you about but don't want to ruin the story for anyone else. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it anyone and everyone.

Not even bars can contain this Alpha
Cassie and Katie have written another fabulously tantalizing book. This is a very well crafted story. Mason is a locked up in more ways than one until a chance volunteer comes to the prison. Laney is a sweet woman just trying to do good for people down on their luck. As soon as Mason sees Laney he burns to have her. Laney ignites at Mason’s look. It should be all fun sexy times for these two from this point on but of course things just cant be easy with an Alpha. The story flowed perfectly and no part felt rushed. Again, this is another book of Cassie’s and Katie’s that I loved. Oh and as a bonus to their readers they included a few of Cassie’s and this duo’s earlier books. Seriously, I could not put it down until the end.

The queen of smut is back with Katie Ford and this is one hot as Hades book!!! Super hot alpha and shy little virgin. But he is in prison when they meet. Somehow these two find a way to get together at every turn and build a bond. Super hot, slightly taboo and very dirty read. Absolutley loved it!! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Laney is sweet and innocent, and she volunteers her time to start a prison paper. Mason has been accused of insider trading, and is serving his time. When these two meet there is an instant connection. This story is fast paced, well written, steamy, intense, and is a crazy rollercoaster journey, with twists which kept me captivated throughout. The collaboration of these two extremely talented authors’ is dynamic, and I cannot wait to read more of their work together!

This book was so sexy & dirty! Mason is an alpha billionaire serving time for a crime he didn’t commit. Laney is a journalist part of an outreach program at the prison where Mason is. She immediately catches Mason’s interest. Things definitely get steamy. While I did like Mason, he seriously ticked me off with some of his decisions. There was something thrown in towards the end of the story that kind of came out of the blue with no warning. I’m not sure it was necessary. Overall a pretty good read.

This book was a rough read. I can not get myself to write all the things that I want to say about this book. I find it hard to believe that two females wrote this book because I would think that it was a a 13 year old male virgin. Some of the stuff just had me scratching my head.
My biggest problem with the book was simple wording. I can understand not wanting to use the word said over and over but changing it all to "came my drawl" or the like was just as annoying.
I had to read the whole thing to see where the plot was going but it was difficult.
