WORTH, a new standalone novel from New York Times bestselling author, Deborah Bladon. One month. One job. One opportunity of a lifetime. As a real estate broker in New York City, my life primarily consists of my work. I've been on the hunt for new clients, so when Julian Bishop, the CEO of Bishop Hotels, offers me the exclusive contract to sell all twelve residential units in his newest luxury hotel, I jump at the chance. The one condition is that if I can't find a buyer for the most expensive unit within thirty days, I'm out and another broker takes over. I need to ignore the fact that Julian and I have been dancing around our mutual attraction for more than a year. I can't focus on his chiseled jaw, his ocean blue eyes or what's under his three-piece suits. This is my once in a lifetime shot to make a mark on the Manhattan real estate market. I'm determined to concentrate on the job Julian hired me to do, but when he starts appearing around every corner, the line between business and pleasure blurs. His past won't let him go. My future is in question. I want it all, but I may end up with nothing at all.

Deborah Bladon had never read a romance hero she didn't like. Her love for romance novels began when she was old enough to board the bus, library card in hand to check out the newest Harlequin paperbacks. She was a Canadian by heart, and by passport, but you could often spot her in New York City sipping a latte and looking for inspiration for her next story. Manhattan was definitely her second home.

She cherished her family and believed that each day was a gift for writing, for reading, and for loving.

I always feel bad when I have to read a book for a challenge and I know I won't like it. Erotica is just not really my gig. But this one wasn't too bad.

I liked Maya. She was a girl with her head on straight. I like that she knew what she wanted and she went for it. I thought the love story moved a bit quickly but I guess they'd met before so that should have bridged the gap.

Julian was just okay. I like that he made clear his boundaries and also didn't cheat. I like that he worked for what he wanted but also respected Maya's rules and boundaries. I like that it was almost 50% into the story until it got spicy.

I liked the high stakes plot of expensive real estate. Interesting story and it stood well on its own but just no my kind of story.

Just ok

The storyline didn't grab me. It felt shallow and a little cheesy. The author could have developed the characters more.

Unimpressed

I usually enjoy this author but the writing was rushed and uninteresting. I am disappointed and not impressed with this story.

Loved it! A thrilling challenge and chemistry are on the table. Can Julian win Maya over? Will working together put the brakes on? Or will he finally be able to breathe freely and look to a happy future with her?

Worth had the romance, humor and excellent descriptive writing. Deborah Bladon always puts a smile on my face and Worth took me to my happy place. A fantastic standalone with an epilogue that left me at peace.

A fantastic read!

Unsatisfied.

Choose 3 star's Because of the story. I felt the story lacked drama and for me i enjoy that part of the story there were some sex scenes but for the most part they were described and were rarely acted out . As well the characters were boring i felt the story only revolved around just there work and didn't go anywhere this is a book that I would have not expected from this Author. However for me this was just a one off book.

3.75 I think what upset me was Julian was in a loveless relationship with a woman. Plus to appease her he gives her shares to his business instead of an engagement ring. How did he not think he would ever be able to end that relationship? I felt bad for the OW. I know he mentioned to her he wasn't ever getting married but after a year or two of dating that woman's mind starts thinking -- maybe I'll be the lucky one he settles down with. Idk. I just wasn't loving this one.

Maya Baker is a real estate broker, she’s hard working, independent and single when we meet her. Maya’s not afraid to go after what she wants, and when she knows the new apartments at the newest Bishop hotel will be listed for sale she goes after them wanting to be the listing agent.

Julian Bishop owner and CEO of Bishop hotel’s has always kept his eye on Maya and her career and he wants her to be the broker for the hotel’s apartments, but she’s got to meet the board of directors terms and conditions for the sale. Can he keep it strictly professional when he desires Maya in more ways than one? Can Maya resist Julian and the attraction she feels for him especially after his last relationship?

This was a decent read, no real surprises and a HEA, I enjoyed it.

It's been a while since I've read one of Deborah Bladon's books, but as always, I loved it. In fact, I've read nearly everything she's written. Her stories are elegant and sexy, and Worth is no different.

Julian Bishop is on a completely different level than many heroes I've read, and he's quite the dirty talker, though Maya is surely his equal in this respect. Their chemistry is palpable from the beginning, given they've had years to stew over each other.

As hot as they are though, they have some scene-stealing tender moments between them, too, that will melt your heart.

I'd definitely recommend this as a quick read full of it all.

Julian and Maya.

I funny how you meet someone and you don’t see them for years or your lives take different paths, but there was something there. Not sure if you call it love at first sight but something between the two of you that you just don’t react to right away. Well that what happened to Julian and Maya. They met at an art show. Three years later their paths would cross again. He’s a CEO of real estate company and she’s a broker trying to make it. He gives her one month to sell the penthouse of his last development and if she successful he will let her sale the other apartments. One thing leads to another...... great story. Loved it.

I really loved Maya and Julian’s story! This is an author I have read previous stories by and somehow I forgot about her? I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve read from her but this one has brought her work front and center again and I won’t be forgetting her this time.

It did take me a bit to warm up to Maya. She starts off coming across as all business but it takes Julian to show her sometimes you find something more important than success and money.

"Love me forever, Julian. That's all it will take to put a smile on my face."

I’m very excited for the new series and can’t wait for Chloe and Griffin’s story...and if we are lucky...Sebastian and Tilly!

I am a huge fan of Deborah Bladon! I’m like a kid at the candy store waiting for a new book to be released from her. I haven’t read a book of hers that I am not a fan of. I love how all of her books in someway connect the characters from the other books. Her style of writing is perfect! I sometimes forget it is a female writing the male perspectives!! It is very convincing!

This story is no different! I give Julian and Maya 5 stars! Lovely characters! Julian is sexy, loving and persistent which I loved about him. Maya is a strong woman who is determined and goal oriented, which that’s what I loved about her. A nice short read and now I am on to the next book!!!

Smoldering

Maya is driven to succeed in the male dominate world of a real estate broker in Manhattan. In order to be at the top she needs to nail down a contract to sell several luxury apartments. But in order to get the contract, she must first sell a penthouse apartment in 30 days for a whopping 20 million. Julian is the hotel owner who's selling the apartments. He has his own plans for Maya, and will do what ever it takes to get what he wants, and what he wants is Maya! A definitely hot, sexy read!

Not the best Bladon book

This book is really just OK, boring in places. Early on the back and forth between Julian and Maya was sweet and cute! Once they got together there was no drama to push the story along. I though Isadora was going to pull something wicked but, she didn't. The biggest let down for me was the sex, it wasn't near as hot as most of Ms. Bladon books. I was let down for the first time ever by Deborah Bladon; that doesn't mean I won't read her upcoming books, just not happy with this one!!

💔💥💕

Awwww I’m so freaking thrilled maya and julien are finally together!! I’ve been waiting for this to happen since fallon’s story. Julien finally realized that staying with isador was the wrong call for both of them. She deserves to have someone who loves her and wants a family that wasn’t him. He and Maya had some crazy chemistry ⚛️ from their first meeting. Their story is a sweet story to me and a reminder that we all deserve love.

Fabulous Read! This is a journey to discovering self-worth. The storyline is well-written and the characters have depth, realism, and likability. The reader is immersed in the H/h lives and emotions. Absolutely wonderful storytelling by Deborah Bladon. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.

Easy and enjoyable read

Although I enjoyed this book , which was well written, I kept expecting more with each turn of the page. However the 'psycho' ex girlfriend was probably a little too predictable. In the end it's a story of a romance with very little drama which was OK but disappointing considering all the tension with the ex girlfriend.

Opposites due Attract

Maya and Julian came from different backgrounds but they were both hard workers. The attraction they had for one another was from afar until Maya was given an opportunity to work for Julian. This opportunity would up her career but had some conditions which Maya was willing to accept.

Another fantastic book by Ms Bladon and a wonderful addition to the series.

As in all of her books, something is always not as it seems and this one does not disappoint.

Ms Bladon does a great job of building the back story so you are totally engrossed and as always - smoking hot sex scenes!!

It is also good to catch up with characters from her previous book

Don't miss this!

Somehow along the way of reading all of Deborah's series, I missed this stand alone. So glad I found it and read it. Such a charmer. A completely self-contained little love story. Again, you can count on multiple characters from other series popping up here.

It was a nice read but a little to soft for my taste. A loud voice; a little secrets; a couple arguments never hurt a relationship. Now while I couldn't put it down it did not quench my thirst for something a tad dark.

Chemistry

My favourite D.Blandon book. I love how characters are connected from book to book. It helps build depth and a back story for other books. Julian is a sexy alpha and has his eyes set on Maya from his first interaction with her. Their chemistry is HOT. Love these 2

This is the second time reading this. First was January 2018, but never reviewed and couldn’t remember reading this. It is good. Just not 5 stars, more like 3.5. Just didn’t feel the connection I expected to see with this couple.

Uneven plot and character development

At the beginning I didn't like Maya. She seemed arrogant and willing to do anything to succeed. Then she quickly fell into his arms. Isabel was a big obstacle, then she wasn't. The end came rushing along.
