Bunny Cloverfield prioritizes pooches over partners.
Max Sheridan woos work, not women.
Can canines save a couple headed for the doghouse?
I already got rid of one boyfriend--he spent more time playing games on his electronics than he did with me and my beloved dogs.
Max and I meet when he knocks me on the head with his backgammon case.
Not his best opening move.
From the moment my Flopsy spaniel gobbles up one of Max's backgammon checkers, to the fight over who gets to cuddle with whom, it's a roll of the dice as to who will end up winners (but one of 'em better be me)!
Bunny is a standalone, short-n-sweet novella. That means for 2 hours or more there's no cheating, no explicit sex, and no hardcore cussing. There is a guaranteed happily ever after, with no cliffhanger.
Texas-born and Missouri-raised, I've lived lots of places since. My latest stint was Las Vegas, NV, for 15 years, teaching elementary school.
Reading and writing romance is my life's blood: sweet romantic comedy, steamy contemporary, and historical fiction.
When I'm not reading and writing romance, I study how to read and write it better. Most days I'd like to read and write romance at the beach, but I'm currently land-locked.
This is a short fun read about Bunny and her two adorable cavalier dogs. Her and her friends each own a pair of dogs and call themselves the Bowsers. Max has never owned a dog, and falls for Bunny. There's obstacles to overcome, and a good book to remember that there is more around you that you may forget about. ❤️ "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book."
*I accepted and ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review* Bunny is a short book, but it delivered on everything I'd expect from a full length novel. It was funny, heartwarming, sweet, and romantic. A must read!!

Bunny and her group of friends are just what you need for a hilarious quick read. Bunny, her three best friends and their 8 dogs (2 for each girl) are the group you need when you are down. Bunny unexpectedly meets Max and her female caviler falls immediately in love with him. Bunny follows suit but not without difficulty. This is a quick read and I was able to finish it in one sitting. Pick this up for a light entertaining read! Can't wait to check out the other friends in the rest of the series. I hope Bunny, Max and their "pack" make an appearance.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader copy of this book
A quick enjoyable read especially if you like dogs. This is a group of women who all have dogs and are friends. There is some cute moments in this book with the dogs and the friends. She meets Max when hanging with her friends and he hits her by accident on the head with his backgammon case. I did like the interplay between them with some serious notes on what it takes to make a relationship work. It doesn’t have a cliffhanger even with being a short story. I did receive an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems for an honest review. I would read this author again.
What a great little story. All Bunny wants is a boyfriend who'll pay some attention to her and her dogs, but she didn't bargain on one who'd pay more attention to the pups and leave her out in the cold. Will Bunny get her man or will her super cute cavaliers take her place? I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet romcom, and I'll be grabbing the next in the series. Love the way the author interweaves the doggie antics with the rest of the story. Seamless and humorous. A great little read.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This was a cute and quick read. I enjoyed reading this and saw myself in Bunny (the way she talked to them!!) There were some great scenes. I loved the way it turned out.
If you are looking for a cute read that doesn't tax the brain, you will enjoy this little escape.
Cute dog Lovers story Short and sweet romance. Bunny loves her dogs so much that she is leaving her boyfriend out. He tells her that she must learn to make time for him.
Bunny by Teddy Cat Hester is a perfect short read for a fun and nice afternoon. Bunny is part of a quartet of dog lovers, each one has a pair of dogs. She is dealing with the harsh effects of a breakup and is still unable to open up herself to date again. It is there she meets Max, not a dog owner, but with him she thinks she can try to come back on the love scene. But soon things not evolve as they should be. I liked that Bunny had to introspect a little about herself and her past relationship, to realize that not all the faults are from her ex boyfriend but that she shares them, and she decides to work on her past errors to avoid to repeat the same pattern. A very good story about how to grew up even as an adult. I received a free copy of this book but I’m leaving my true and honest opinion this review.
5 stars I received a free copy of the short story Bunny by Teddy Cat Hester and this review was given freely. Irony and Humor abounds in this short story which features dogs with personalities, their loving loving group of women who meet at the Bow Wow Bistro/ dog park as well as the romance between Bunny and Max.
Such a nice refreshing, clean, funny and well written book. I was hooked from the first page not much drama which are my favourites just a girl who loves dogs and guy who loves the dog. Totally recommend it to people who love not too long and neither boring, clean love story.
I found this book for free on Amazon; this is my honest review. Play At Love AKA Bunny. Short and sweet with many many dogs - eight in fact. Bunny (her real name), finally understands what happened with her ex-boyfriend and executes a plan to fix it for the next one, the hunky Max Sheridan. There is no LOL moments or really sad scenes but it's enjoyable.
Dog-Lover Romance This is a very funny and short Rom-Com. It features dogs and dog-lovers. I loved the story so much that I plan on reading the rest of the series. I received this book at no cost and voluntarily chose to post my review.
Short and sweet is a good descriptor. The characters are fun, the plot is interesting, and the writing is fast paced. Bunny and Max are engaging, and dogs are always a good addition.

A very cute short story about one puppy crazy heroine who puts her dogs above her relationships and one hero Max whom is a workaholic whom can use a break from work to find love. His book is not graphic and is a romantic comedy it is a really short read and left me wanting more of Bunny and Max this book is part of a series and I definitely will be reading the rest of the books especially if they are as good as this one
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. A lovely romantic story with an old fashioned feel. A couple of dogs cause some problems for Bunny and Max's romance when they try to muscle in on the action. Great read if you want some fluff to unwind after a hectic week.
Play at Love (aka Bunny) is a cute, fun, short, sweet romance. Bunny has three friends. Each of the friends have two dogs. (I think Ms. Hester had a lot of fun naming everyone!) Bunny and Max are delightful. The dogs are awesome. I especially enjoyed the scene where Dilly races to the rescue. If you are looking for a short escape and love dogs, this is the book for you.

Super fun with four ladies and their perky pooches. If you love dogs and sweet romance, this quick little read is for you. The author keeps the fun coming. A great debut novella. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.

This is a sweet well written romance. I like the story line and it felt realistic. The main characters has things to struggle with but they suit each other as a couple. It is a fun read with chemistry and dogs all over.
