When war and conscience tear wolf-shifter Arianna Kellam from her pack, she finds herself alone in the wilds of Alaska…until she runs into the sexy and untamed Robicheaux brothers. Can they make their own pack and fight for the side of good, or will evil prevail and tear them apart before they get the chance?
Warning: This is book one of a steamy reverse harem two-part series and contains a cliffhanger!
The story was pretty decent, but a part of it really bothered me. The mc ran off on the guys saying she didn't want to be responsible for the guys having to leave. The fact is she was deserting them to attack. The clan had already said they were coming back for them in a few days. Her leaving would not change that. The author should have left that we'll be back thing completely out of the story, then this storyline would have made more sense. Even so, it's quite flimsy. I just finished her Immortal Harem and I have to say that the plotting and storyline were so much better in that one. This one's readable, but I'm not that super excited about it.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I have read a few of this authors’ reverse harem books and to be honest they are all pretty much rinse and repeat storyline, the only changes are the species. The beginning of this book seemed to be a bit different than the other stories from her that I have read so I was a bit excited that this one would take a slightly different path, unfortunately it doesn’t. Don’t understand why she keeps having the first sexual encounters seem like they can be secret even with keeping the noise levels down, this is a canine series, dogs have pretty good sniffers they will smell what you are doing duh!
This story revolves around Arianna a wolf-shifter. Her pack and another pack are at war and Arianna does something that sets her entire pack against her. For this she gets exiled and tossed out in the cold. As she is scrounging for something to eat she runs into a mini-pack of four wolves. She is at first a bit cautious around them but once they tell her she is welcome to stay with them till she is stronger she takes them up on the offer. Off course these guys are young and hot so it isn’t long before they are all thinking of getting to know each other without clothes.
As they are out replenishing their dwindling supplies they run into another pack that basically says you are either going to join our pack or we will kill you. Arianna recognizes that pack as the pack that her old pack is at war with. She tries to keep her identity a secret to protect herself and her new harem pack.
Of course she takes off in the middle of the night to protect her new pack and runs into the bad guys. Things go from bad to worse for Arianna and now she may be used as a pawn, to not only harm her newly acquired harem pack but also her old pack.
This book like the other harem books by this author follows her standard the female lead has angst over wanting all four guys, she resists then goes for it shortly after. This one she also added the element of over the top mad scientist aspect of the bad pack to this storyline. The extra layer doesn’t for me add anything to the story. Also this book could have been wrapped up in one story kind of like her “Demon Harem” book should have been. As they say the thrill of this type of book is gone since they are all pretty much turning into carbon copies of each other with only the species being different.
Her Howling Harem 1: A reverse harem romance Kindle Edition by Savannah Skye I received an eARC via Booksprout and am opting to leave an honest and fair review
HHH begins with an almost fairy tale free. Arianna is the daughter of the Alpha of her clan of wolf shifters. She is very much like a princess, a princess who acts on compassion to help a member of an enemy pack. That act of compassion costs her, she is expelled from her clan.
Fleeing into the Alaskan wild, she is saved by four handsome and good shifters, brothers that have started their own pack.
This is a medium burn book. The smexy time doesn't truly start until about 1/3 through, which means it should rely on its plot. Ms. Skye does a fairly good job of keeping us turning pages on plot and characterization alone. However, if the reader is at all familiar with Reverse Harem Romance, the plot and characters are very familiar. I really wish that she had more than canned males and that Arianna's angst wasn't exactly like every other female in average RH's.
However, the book is pretty entertaining even though some of the more interesting plot points are jumped over, for instance a character is dumped into a frozen body of water. Instead of taking us through the terror of that moment, of slipping under the ice cold water and experiencing the icy water flooding into your lungs and the freezing temperature driving your body into hypothermia, Ms Skye fades to black and poof! New scene.
If you aren't a big fan of RH or very familiar, this is a good place to start. If you are those things, this is a fast read.
3.5 stars out 5 – rounded up to 4. The Book Nerd was whelmed
Arianna is torn between the demands of her pack and her conscience. Her pack have been at war with a rival pack for a long time and her pack has captured a child from that pack. Arianna is disgusted that her pack sees nothing wrong with punishing a young child for just being born to the wrong pack. When her pack decides to kill him in retaliation for actions taken by the other pack, Arianna has had enough and arranges his escapes. She is caught and her father the alpha banishes her from her pack. Alone Arianna is struggling to survive until she runs into the Robicheaux brothers, four handsome wolf shifters living in the Alaskan wilderness. They rescue her from an attack and give her a place to recover. Arianna is happy for a safe place to recover and she is strongly attracked to the brothers. Her wolf wants all of them but Arianna struggles with her wanton feelings. Most of the Robicheaux brothers seem to want her too. This is a good story that ends up on a cliff hanger. Arianna seems to overcome her mixed feelings for the brothers but it may be too late.
I'm not really into these types of books, but occasionally you can come across a gem. This had a better plotline than the first series, but still doesn't go into enough character or world building for me. However, maybe that's not what people care about in this genre. I still hold the series by Jaymin Eve -Trickery of the Gods (I believe it's called) as my favorite. I didn't even realize it was a RH until the end of book 2 & nothing happens until book 3. However, each book is hilarious & I know all of the characters & am completely invested. That's what's missing from this book. If anyone were to die or be seriously injured it wouldn't really matter to me since I'm not attached to any of the characters. I'm probably in the minority here. However, even though I really didn't like the first series (which consists of two books) I'm obviously reading the next one so kudos to the author. It's definitely a fast easy read that you can turn your brain off and coast.
I received a copy of this book from Booksprout and I voluntarily leave my review. I love Savannah Skye’s books and this one is no exception. Arianna is attacked by a grizzly bear and is saved by 4 wolf shifter brothers who are as sexy as hell. This is another fantastic Reverse Harem book by Savannah Skye and she is definitely in my top 5 favourite authors and if I could give this book 10 stars I would. I absolutely recommend this book and I can’t wait for the next one.
Her Howling Harem Book 1 is a steamy, sexy and entertaining read. A powerful story of doing what you feel is right and paying an awful price for it and then discovering something you never expected because of it. An emotional read that is packed with action and steamy scenes. A great book and I am very eager for book 2. This is an honest review that I am posting after reading an ARC copy of this book.
Arianna does what is right and ends up exiled from her pack. It is dangerous to be alone. She finds brothers who attract her and keep her safe but her feelings for them all confuse her.
I enjoyed the book. I really liked Arianna. She does what is right even when it ends up leaving her with so much loss. Her attraction to them all surprises her and makes her unsure. There is a lot of action and danger and it ends on a big cliffhanger.
(I am reading an ARC of a box set with this book included, so I figured I'll review each as I go along)
Very gripping story from the first chapter, with some great characters. I feel like the 4 brothers and Arianna should have talked more about what they were interested in pursuing with each other..is this a relationship or just sex..? But the sex was pretty hot and the bad guy(s) pretty evil, so looking forward to book two now.
It is a really good story. I wonder if Rafe is going to come out of an experiment ruined. Hope not. It will ruin the story. this is a great story. It has excitement, mystery, suspense, hot, sweet and so much more. I recommend getting both halves at once. I was given a review copy by book sprout and voluntarily review it.
Arianna is cast out of her clan for releasing a boy from another clan, a clan that is their enemy. The Robicheaux brothers save her from being killed by a bear. From there on, the story only gets more interesting. This is a really good series without the sex so the sexy scenes only make it better.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A hot beginning to the two book set. She’s been kids caked out of her pack for doing what she believes was right. But the fact her father was the alpha only makes it hurt more. Fighting to stay alive in the cold of Alaska, four shifters save her from death by the weather and one angry bear. But that is only the beginning. Things will only heat up from there. And things are still dangerous.
Good start to interesting werewolf drama. Love the heroine in the series fighting her demons. Weird mix of off grid and urban living so hard to get context of how living or indeed getting money but a side issue that doesn’t totally distract from story. Bit of a cliffhanger at the end so straight on to next book.
I really loved this book, Well not the ending, the ending made me a little crazy due to a cliffhanger. I can't wait for book two, I do recommend this book.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Sexy and steamy read. Loved this book. Great characters that kept you interested and into this book.
I received an arc and am voluntarily leaving this review. I loved the book. I starts out with someone in prison. Now would be a great time to get the book
Savannah Skye writes books that will keep you coming back, especially if you don't mind some very descriptive narration between the couple's. Reverse harem stories have become extremely popular, although many can lack what is most important, creating a world and plenty of awe-inspiring events that will want you to kerp on reading, plus have you coming back continually to the same author. Savanbah Sky is one such example, taking us into the world of emotional questions, circumstances that are unreal and realising that even though this is a story of fiction one could easily apply some of what they learn from their experience into your own lives. Realising that our lives are often changed due to the actions taken by other's, can be difficult to accept, but our lives have law's that must be adhered to and as Arianna finds out, if you try to change what other's believe is right, without going about the process the way it's expected, then the outcome is often at your expense. Believing her father would always protect her along with her pack, Arianna learns a very harsh reality, no matter how much your family may love or believe in you, they also must abide by the law's created by the community as a whole, so once she over stepped those law's, even if what she did was right in her mind, everyone who loved and believed in her had to step back and allow the law to hand out the justice it believed to be the correct thing to do. Suddenly Arianna finds herself having to depend on herself hoping her choices were correct, especially when she meets the four brother's, Luke, Anton, Ethan and Rafe who feel as though they maybe the new pack she is meant to be a part of. Life loves throwing a challenging twist in our direction, giving us a number of doors to step through, as Arianna finds out again, doing what you believe is right doesn't always go the way you hope, so knowing how to deal with what can be placed in front of you, gives you a chance to avoid that twist again. Definitely an entertaining adventure as Arianna finds herself dealing with event's she never believed possible, but accepting and learning to deal with the hand she is dealt teach's her to understand many of the possibilities she is given and to choose which is the best path to travel. I found myself looking at this storyline from a number of different ways, definitely full of action adventures and calculated risks, Arianna is a character who is ruled by her beliefs and her heart, so throughout her experience she finds herself understanding you must realise how your actions will effect the choices you make. I found this to be extremely well presented as a story but also in such a way that you can learn from this characters own mistakes. Savannah has done a terrific job of writing something in a way we can interpret into our own lives. As a Parranormal romance, this lets us see the superb way this content can be read simply as a fun storyline while understanding the lessons that can be learned by the experiences Arianba goes through. This is truly a read well worth grabbing. It can be enjoyed from so many different ways. Grab yours today.

When a teenage MacLeuren male is captured by the Kellen's, the Alpha plans to take his revenge on his, in retaliation for the death of a close friend and adviser. Arianna, sets the boy free. Her status as daughter to the alpha can't save her from charges of treason and a sentence worse than death, exile. Arianna is taken in by a small pack of brothers. Anton is their alpha, strong and fair. Rafe, is full of charm and humor. Ethan a but of a dreamer and caretaker. Luke, a quiet tough guy with a chip on his should that hide his vulnerable side. Arianna finds herself attracted to all four men, and they don't mind sharing. She brings danger to their door. The MacLauren's are trying to recruit smaller pack to their cause, and don't seem to take no for an answer. Arianna does the only thing she can do to protect her new pack, the men she has come to care for, she runs. She is captured by the MacLauren's and learns what true evil is. Her kindness wasn't forgotten and she escapes, leaving behind friends, hoping to find help. Her worst fears are realized, one of her men is missing and she is sure he is a prisoner. Great story. Arianna's inner monologs can be tedious. She does some stupid things, but her heart is in the right place. I loved the Robicheoux brothers. The Alpha of the MacLauren's is clearly evil and needs to be taken down. The jury is still out on the Kellen's. The book ends in an cliffhanger. Looking forward to seeing how everything plays out.
