i am a true sucker for father daughter manwhas, so when i saw this one was completed a while ago, i decided to finally read it.
season one was great, if it wasn’t for that, this would be a 1.5 instead. it was angsty and wrapped up so well, i don’t think it needed any other seasons after this one because the other two were not executed properly.
season two left me wanting more from it, the art style had never been *bad* but even in season one the artist was having trouble with proportions. season two was even more confusing and by season three, the characters had giants hands and small heads — even though the panels and faces were beautifully drawn.
i really don’t know how it fell off that bad, but it was rushed, that much is clear. perhaps pressure on the artist to wrap things up? i’m not entirely sure but by the end, this Manhwa was starting and finishing tropes in their chapters they were introduced in.
there were also some plot holes here and there, that i could initially overlook but soon would come back up again and make me confused. because of the inconsistency in drawing the characters in their ages, it was hard to tell when time skips took place.
i don’t want to be too harsh, i just think it’s a shame. i can tell there was a good story here with decent artwork (besides proportions, background were so well done and beautiful), and i do think the novel must be much better.
Review for the manhwa. The art was beautiful if you ignore the obvious problem with proportions. The story is ok during the first 2 seasons but the 3rd one is all over the place. We do get a HEA ending though.
