Hi! I’m Daisy Dreamer and my totally true imaginary friend Posey and I are going on a winter adventure! Oh, and you’re totally invited, too!
I love snow days! I mean, who doesn’t? But do you know what’s better than a snow day? A snow day in the World of Make-Believe! Obviously! But do you know what’s even better than that? A snow day in the World of Make-Believe visiting a really real Ice Castle! Join Posey and me, as we build snow-nimals, go bed-sledding, and have a brrr-tastic snowberang fight. There’s just one thing to remember: Stay out of the Ice Castle’s tower. It may be a little cursed, but that’s snow reason to not come along!
With easy-to-read language and illustrations on almost every page, the Daisy Dreamer chapter books are perfect for emerging readers.
Oh, that was fun! Daisy and her imaginary friend head off into the World of Make-Believe and visit an ice castle and make friends with a yeti. It’s refreshing to meet this character who has such a zany imagination. I think kids will love traveling with her.
This is one of my favorite of the series. Posey makes it snow in Daisy's room as well as outside. They take a bed-sled into the WOM and go to an ice castle that is supposedly haunted. They find out its actually a friendly yeti that was stuck in there. The yeti goes back to Daisy's room and almost gets found out but all ends well!
Recommended to me by a 7 year old - she likes that anytime it gets a little scary, out pops a super cute character. I like that the story telling isn't super dumbed down and that these are books she wants to read over and over again.
Nothing wrong with this entry, but not as neat, imo, as the ones I've been giving four stars too. A little bit of Cat in the Hat vibe here. And a little bit too much reliance on Daisy saving the day yet again. I'm still reading the series though!
