Braxton: A Scrooged Christmas

Rate this book
When his parents die in a car crash just before Christmas, and the abusive orphanage he’s sent to grow up in kicks him out the day before Christmas Eve, Braxton Scrooge chooses to leave the one person who completes him, leaving her in tears on Christmas Day, to become a cold big-shot million-dollar business owner. Forget the Ghost of Christmas Past. With a history like Braxton Scrooge’s, how could one ever enjoy the Christmas season? Braxton regrets nothing—until his true love, Gemma, re-enters his life. Only the Ghost of Christmas Future can give him the reality check he needs to stop being such a vengeful scrooge—before he loses her forever. When it comes to love, the real question to ask yourself is, how far are you willing to go to ensure your partner still feels your love even after you’ve left her side? Because the love Braxton and Gemma rekindle will turn out to be the most unconventional love you’ll ever find.

Scrooge with a twist!

This is not an ordinary “Scrooge” story! It’s a story love story with a twist!

Braxton once was in love with Gemma, but he lost her to his own greed. Then Gemma meets Will; they fall in love and get married with plans to live happily ever after. Will is now employed by Braxton and has no idea that Braxton and Gemma once were a couple.

After many years of working for Braxton and being his “do everything” person Will has had about enough. If it wasn’t for his secret and his love for Gemma, he would have quit a long time ago. Braxton receives a visit from the ghost of Christmas present and future, and he is shaken to his core with all that is revealed to him.

This is a story about unconditional love – and what Will, Braxton and Gemma do in order to be in love and stay in love. One-click today and find out how the story ends up!

My favorite line in this book is “A love this pure and true lives a full life even after death.”

A Beautiful Story

Braxton Snow (Scrooge) made sure to keep Will away from his wife as much as possible. Will's wife was the love that Braxton lost because he moved away to college. As the story goes, Scrooge gets a ghost to make him see the error of his ways. This story only has one ghost. Braxton talks to Will and finds that everything the ghosts said was true, that's what changes everything for Braxton, Will and his wife. Will makes a plan for Braxton to become him by learning his mannerisms, so Braxton will take care of his wife when he's gone. Will is dying. What man would love so true, that he would make sure you have someone to make you happy before he die? There is a lot to the story, but it is beautiful. A lovely tearjerker for sure.

This was definitely one of the more interesting re-tellings of A Christmas Story. Braxton Snow (aka Braxton Scrooge) went to great lengths to keep one of his workers, Will, away from his wife—a woman who he was once deeply in love with but turned his back on in the pursuit of money. Will reveals to Braxton that he is dying and wants Braxton to replace him in his wife’s life so that she won’t be alone, lonely, and bereft. This story has a lot going on and is quite emotional. There are elements of this story that will definitely get you in your feelings.

Scrooged

Braxton has been dubbed Mr. Scrooge by all of those that work for him. Not having what he wants to make him happy Braxton fully lives up to his Scrooged name. Even making sure that others aren’t happy around him. But when a dying man gives him the greatest gift that he could ever receive he knows that he has to change his ways, and make himself worthy of such a gift.
Loved this second chance love story with a Christmas theme.

Braxton Snow has been called Mr. Scrooge for a long time and he is living up to the name. He is visited by Christmas Ghosts and given the chance to change how he treats others, and to better himself. Will he take the chance or will he just stay a Scrooge? I didn't really connect with the story or the characters but it was an ok read. It has a twist in that all though wasn't all that believable to me, it made me push through the story and not give up reading it.

Talk about an unconventional Xmas story.
Braxton Scrooge (not his real surname) is up to his usual nastiness until a freaky visit from the ghost of Christmas present and future. The future is put into perspective and for Braxton to get the HEA he has to change in more ways than one. Is he capable or will he be forever known as a Scrooge!
I did enjoy this quick titilating read.

Yet another amazing short read by B.S.M Stoneking! I went in to this book thinking oh great another Scrooge book, but boy was I wrong! This is an amazing written book about and love and death. It took Christmas ghost to make this nasty man see the light (so to speak). Go get this book everyone you wont be sorry, I absolutely love it!!

If you were visited by the ghosts of Christmas present and future, do you think you would change they way you live? Braxton has a chance to better himself and how he treats others. Will he change and be the man Gemma deserves or will he always be a Scrooge? I enjoyed this holiday story about second chances.

This was a sad, but beautiful story. It shows that you shouldn't take things or people for granted because they aren't always going to be there. Braxton found that out when he was least expecting it. In the end, he found out alot about himself and made him a changed man. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone

3.7 for this retelling of Scrooge’s Christmas story. There were moments where I was curious to see how the situation ended up the way it did, then other times I felt the storyline head downwards and I was losing interest. It’s s quick read the you can complete within a couple hours. Overall I’m happy I’ve read it through to the end.

Braxton

The author through this story showed the true meaning of an everlasting love that continues on even after a person is gone. Truly enjoyed the way Will, Gemma and Braxton lives were intertwined. Well done.

Braxton is a great book. It’s a story that will touch your heart. Will worries about his wife happiness more than anything. This book has a surprising ending that you won’t expect.

This was steamy. Not a bad story. I'm not usually fond of "retellings" unless they REALLY grab me. This one didn't grab me but I did enjoy the twist, the not knowing how everything came about.

Ok.

This started out really good. I thought it was super cute but then it turned a little weird to me. It’s a super short story and easy read, though.

“This was his last chance to change his life, and if he didn’t change, he would die a lonely old scrooge.”

Braxton is my favorite Scrooge story to date. He is exactly my type of man...mean, selfish and arrogant. After a chilling visit from the Ghost of Christmas Present and Future is he willing to change the direction of his life? This is a unconventional Christmas story about love, death and redemption. The question is how far will you go for your one true love?

“A love this pure and true lives a full life even after death.”

Wow this is an amazingly beautifully written story that will touch you. Giving everything to the woman you love Will loves her so much it hurts especially when his boss try’s of all ways to stop them being together. Scrooge will make you love him more than you think. This was a fantastic Christmas read that has all the feels. Highly recommend a perfect time of year read.

This book was just horrible. The story started off OK but then when Will decided Braxton should BE him ewwww and No. Bad idea. Also the scene where they Will teaches Braxton how to make love very like him is just wrong.

Not a story I would recommend to anyone.

Very cute story. I felt like I was reading a story that was a Disney movie. It was filled with passion and sex. They way BSM Stoneking describes the scenes was tasteful and sexy. This clearly shows the other can basically write anything from thriller and sex to love and Disney heart felt
