In this gut wrenching inspirational retelling, readers are reminded of how much we can’t do in our own strength BUT how great our God is in meeting us exactly where we are and empowering us to persevere! Cyndi Desjardins Wilkens is an inspiration both in the physical trials she traversed after flesh eating disease made her lose both her hands & feet plus the emotional/mental trials that come with such an unexpected curve ball in one’s life. Cyndi’s honesty with struggling to understand “why” and the depression that encroached with the darkness of uncertainty, makes the story of Shine On relatable to anyone regardless of whether their struggle is life altering or processing what we thought we knew and what’s proving to be true.

Cyndi encourages readers to see past the “buts” (ex: our life was this, BUT then the accident happened), reassuring us that it is possible to see the light again and find a firm foundation to stand on, to make the most of the life we’ve been blessed with!! This story is one you won’t regret reading, so share it’s powerful message far and wide.

A remarkable story of God's power and grace. Cyndi's recounts her life after flesh eating disease made her lose both her hands and feet. She shows how leaning on Jesus helped her become resilient and persevere to learn to take care of her children. She has also become an international speaker encouraging others to live their faith.
