African American, Private Investigator Tom Swanson travels from Miami to New York to investigate his cousin’s demise.
But when Swanson arrives in New York, he suddenly discovers that cousin Mason Dunkley wasn’t the squeaky clean dude he thought he was. Dunkley had a few dark secrets.
Swanson suddenly realised he was being played for a patsy, but he has a killer on his hands. And if he has to kick a few backsides to get some action, so be it.
Then the action begins!
But trouble is Swanson’s favourite pastime. It’s what he does for his hard-earned dollars.
And if those New York hoodlums reckoned he was just another soft touch from sun-drenched Miami, longing for a little vacation, they had another thought coming!
Set in Miami, New York, North Carolina and London, it’s explosive action all the way with this riveting, kick-ass sequel to Sucker To Be Alive!

An Exhilarating, World-Class, Whodunnit By One Of The Best In the Genre! This is not the first time that I've read a David Snowdon thriller. Many years ago I read the espionage thriller, The Mind Of A Genius. A few years later I also read A Crime To Be Rich, so the expectations were high. And in this world-class thriller, Snowdon doesn't disappoint as I raced through the pages of this riveting book. I couldn't put it down! I was hooked from start to finish as African American, Private Investigator, Tom Swanson travels around the US, looking for his cousin's killer. Swanson is a thrill of a ride with a down-to-earth, never say die, never give up, kind of attitude that really appealed to me. He just wouldn't quit in spite of the tremendous obstacles he encountered searching for the vicious killer. Coupled with sharp dialogue, exciting characters and exotic locations, this is one of the best detective thrillers I've ever read. And again, Snowdon does a great job as the plot twists and turns. I couldn't guess what would happen next. It was non-stop action from the get go to the very last page. This would definitely make an edge-of the seat, blockbuster movie. And I can't wait to read prequel, Sucker To Be Alive. Well done, Snowdon for writing another thriller that will have the readers on the edge of their seats, guessing whodunnit till the very last page.
