Stand or fall; Blade and Tara together forever!

Blade is the formidable outlaw/asassin whose connection to Talon - the Revant warrior/pilot extraordinaire from book 2 of the series has drawn him into covertly aiding the Revants' uprising against the corrupt Federation. He does the star turn in this novel, Celeste Raye's fifth book in the Revant Warriors series. Blade long ago turned his back on the Federation, has utter contempt for them, and no regard for his own life. He's ruthless and fearless as only a man under a death sentence can be. When Talon and his brothers ask him to formally join the revolution, he's astonished to learn that his father, the highest ranking Federation general, has joined up before him. He's mistrustful, but agrees. In haste to leave, he meets and ends up rescuing Tara, an escaped slave. Tara is little miss Goody-Two-Shoes from the Federation's middle class, whose fiance has taken her on a vacation from whence she was kidnapped. The cruel and heartless Blade discovers that Tara inspires kindness and empathy he can ill afford, but their growing attraction will not be denied. Tara and Blade stick together through plots and planning, battles and mop-up operations, and the hell of war on a universal scale. Then the Federation's last desperate gambit is revealed - a move that will likely devastate their universe, and a previously unknown other. Blade and Tara are made part of the team which will undertake what may well be a suicide mission to stop the federation once and for all. The once detached and coldhearted Blade now faces the truth - he loves, he is loved, and whether he lives or dies, Tara will be beside him.
Author Raye once again creates a pair of unique and complex lovers who endure trial by battle as they risk their hearts in a moving and intense love story. Once again, the background is that of revolution on a stunning scale, and a complex mission rife with possibilities of betrayal. Once again, there is no HEA, only a dramatic and hopeful cliff-hanger (hence only 4 stars). Raye's evocative and cinematic prose makes for compelling reading, and despite my antipathy to cliff-hangers, I eagerly await the next installment, and the outcome of the revolution. I thank the author for the privilege of an ARC; this voluntary review is strictly my own opinion.

Tara was a low level clerk on her planet when her boyfriend on a surprise trip to a pleasure planet. The first night there she is having dinner with her boyfriend in a restaurant and the next thing she knows, she wakes up chained in a cell. She has been sold to become a sex slave. She manages to escape her cell and is trying to get away when she runs into Blade. He helps her keep from getting captured and takes her to his ship and helps her get away. He also tries to tell her that it was her boyfriend who sold her to be a sex slave.
Blade has been a rebel fighting the Federation for a long time. He used to be an officer until the Federation's actions disgusted him. His father is a high ranking General in the Federation. The one day, one of the Revant warriors approaches him with an offer. They are going to attack the Federation and bring it down before it does something so dangerous that all people would be threatened. Even Blade's father is joining the rebellion. Blade decides to join the rebellion but he runs into a problem with some people after his head. As he escapes, he runs into beautiful innocent Tara. He knows that she would be the perfect distraction to allow him to escape but he feels driven to help her. Against all reason, he rescues her and takes her on his ship. Instead of dumping her on a safe planet, he surprises himself by offering to take her home. He knows that her boyfriend sold her to be a sex slave and he wants to protect her. The cynical pirate is now a protector.
This is a great story with a hard-headed pirate type falling for an innocent naive lady. He is constantly being surprised by his own feelings I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

***I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book***

This series has so far has been hot, steamy, and oh-so good. Ms. Rayes warriors are devastatingly handsome alpha men who are looking to not only save/protect the women in their lives but also those that can't protect themselves. Blade is a hard, dark assassin who has been labeled an outlaw by the Federation the bane of many smaller and independent worlds.

Blade is a dark figure that’s been reeled in by Talon and his brothers to find out what's next for the ever expanding Federation. While on his mission for the rebellion he ends up saving a slave girl. Tara was taken/kidnapped while on vacation with her fiance. Tara and Blade are immediately drawn to each other though they tell themselves that they aren't. Blade finds himself feeling something for the woman by his side. The Federation has to be stopped and stopped now before they put into action a plan that will kill untold billions in the universes that they plan to destroy. Blade and Tara make up part of a team just as determined to stop them. Blade realizes that he finally has something/someone worth protecting and fighting for with his last breath if necessary.

Find out how Blade and Tara's relationship evolves. What problems other than the Federation are they going to find themselves facing? How and what do the duo find out about what the Federation is planning? How is this going to playout with Blade and Tara and others of the team sent to foil the plan? I can't wait to see what's next for the men and women fighting for the rebellion.

I really enjoyed finding out more about Blade in this story. Blade is a Protector. When he comes across Tara in the alley he cannot stop himself from helping her. The sparks between the two from the beginning, is extreme. I feel sorry for Tara when she finds out what actually happened to her on the Pleasure Planet, but am pleased with the outcome of that particular situation. This series just gets better and better. I can’t wait to read the next book to find out what happens.

I'm new to Revant Warriors series and to be honest I should have started from book 1. Reading Blade gave me the feeling that I missed pieces of the big picture but Celeste Raye helped me understand what happened in the previous books so I wouldn't feel totally lost, It does stand on its own without trouble but I can almost guarantee that you'll want to read the next one.
The problem I had with it was sometimes I felt I was reading the book in bullet points. I felt like it was jumbing from one scene to the next without flow. And sometimes I just wanted more from a scene but it would suddenly finish.
Got to say though, at around 70% it got really good. I couldn't put it down from there onwards and I can't wait to see what will happen next. :)

Another great heroic Revant Warrior! The chemistry between the main characters was great from the moment they met. This story has been written well and keeps you enthralled until the.... next book!! There is a cliffhanger at the end of this book and leaves you wanting the next book asap! I know I will read the next book so I don't mind too much.

I received a copy of this book from the author and I gladly leave my review.
This book is a part of the Revant series and I really enjoyed it. This is about Tara who is kidnaped and sold into the sex slavery business, Blade is the sexy warrior assasin who saves her and it goes against his better judgment. This book has a great storyline and full of action, adventure and romance. I definitely recommend this book to anyone that loves alien Abduction romances.

I have enjoyed the series and really liked Blade. The story has a good mix of action and romance. Tara and Blade are brought together and he is a reluctant savvier. He has his own mission. He has little time for love or romance but can't resist her. They make a great couple and have fantastic chemistry. I highly recommend the series but you can read this one as a standalone.

This story had me captivated from the beginning. Blade a pirate who hasn’t lived his life hating his father and mourning the loss of the girl he lived. Tara who grew up on a peaceful planet finds herself traded by her fiancé after visiting a pleasure planet. These two learn to trust each other and overcome obstacles while falling in love. Oh and that cliffhanger had me screaming..........I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

The war is raging in full force. Death and destruction everywhere. Blade is given a chance to save the universe but is it a trap can he really trust his father and brother? Love this series! Blade does end in a cliffhanger. Really good series. Right now 3-17-18 the boxed set is $ .99 on Amazon. Which is the best way to read series because #6 Drake is only in the box set didn't like that much.

This is the 5th book in this 6 book series. Blade is not one of the 4 brothers, but he is a Revant as well as an outlaw & rebel.
This story is about Blade & Tara. Even though Blade didn’t believe in falling in love, he can’t believe he rescued a beautiful, naïve woman, Tara, who was sold into sexual slavery.

The fifth book in the Revant Warriors series and I am enjoying this series a lot, I bought the boxed set and as I read one of the books I am doing a review on the one I have just finished. This book leaves you on a cliffhanger that ties in with the next book. This series just keeps me wanting more.

Blade started with a bang. Loved the beginning but the book went in a strange direction after that. This was multiple books and was different from others I've read.

It was ok

The wording was a little awkward which kind of detracted me from the story. Other than that I liked the story. I want to find out what happens next.

A GREAT alien romance with a new twist – a MUST READ!!
“Blade” is the first Revan Warriors book for this reviewer, but it will not be the last. While relatively new to the PN genre, this reviewer found author Raye’s writing to be easy to read and the action/excitement level to be engaging and realistic (well and realistic as PN can be, I guess!). In short, it is a GREAT page-turner that is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Because of my lack of experience, I’d only chose the type of PN novel that had some alien race kidnapping a human from somewhere or out of some situation. I had a type without realizing it consciously. Then I was given an ARC copy of “Blade” in order to prepare this honest, voluntary review, and I loved that there was no kidnapping or power exchange between the main characters! Instead, Blade (the name of the main male protagonist as well as the title of the novel rescues Tara, the naïve girl who had been sold into sexual slavery. The characterization was my favorite. You get to know and love the characters through what they say and do, rather than being told that a character is “so-and-so” (and then have them act contrary to what you have been told). So, “Blade”: Revant Warriors by Celest Raye is a top level PN romance with action, romance and a “MUST READ” designation from this reviewer.
