Steve and Tony should really read the fine print on what they're signing. Then again, some mistakes are not really mistakes.

scifigrl47 has written some of my all-time favorite avengers fics, so I was really looking forward to this. And for the most part it was a really great story. Tony and Steve are of course ridiculously good together, and there were so many feels here--just like I like it. The ending was a bit off for me though. I mean, I like the end result...but I'm not so sure about how the end result came about. Not sure why Steve went at it the way he did instead of just telling Tony the truth. Seemed like it only happened that way because the author needed that big speech at the end, instead of it being a more organic conversation that happened because of how the characters reacted to things. It was good for what it was, I just think it could have been a bit better. Still a very good, if somewhat light, story.

About 3.5. It's a mix of hilarious moments among the Avengers team and allies (a version of the lineup from comics, not the movies), trope-y mutual "unrequited" pining for more than friendship, and "message" (acceptance, equality, and justice, particularly for LGBTQ people), with a few bits of canon-typical battle injuries, etc., thrown in. There are some really sweet, funny, and/or touching scenes and clever lines, and I've been debating rounding up.
