Sometimes the life you never imagined is the one you're destined to live.
Gabby Garrett's life never goes the way she envisions. She once pictured owning an interior decorating firm and marrying a successful, intelligent gift of the gods. In reality, she has stable (but boring) job and is about to marry the “perfect” man until he surprises Gabby seconds before her Christmas wedding is set to begin. Two years later, Black Friday holds a whole new meaning. In this midst of her holiday funk, she receives two unexpected gifts—a visit from her sister and a misdirected but intriguing text message from some guy named Dave.
After weeks of texting and old-fashioned phone calls (no exchange of personal information), she and Dave believe they’re made for one another—except Dave is hiding three big secrets that may change everything. On the day they’re slated to meet, Murphy’s law strikes, and they’re left with no way to find one another.
With only two possible clues, a real estate agent for a sister, and a heart full of determination, Gabby sets on a mission to find the man of her dreams. She’s 12 Daves and 8 days away from Christmas--and the clock is ticking. But is Gabby ready for the answer to her Christmas wish…even if he comes with a package she never pictured?
The 12 Daves of Christmas is a contemporary holiday romance featuring endearing characters, serendipitous twists, a touch of Murphy’s Law, and the magic of the most wonderful season of all. Rediscover all the joy, wonder, and sweetness of holiday love when you pick up this heartwarming story today!

I had this book last Christmas and am unsure why I didn’t read it then, but I’m so glad I waited. Brady used a very interesting concept and it was quite an entertaining journey with the main character, Gabrielle. There were very memorable lines from this book, but this one made me pause and smirk for personal reasons:
“She smiles from the inside out. With every moment that she spent with him, he felt more and more like home.”
True to fashion, Brady continues her streak of writing romance that it is full of humor and relatable situations. She’s one of the few authors that I always support because she never disappoints. Well done!!!
Cute. Not exactly what I expected. Dragged on a bit. Interesting story. Gabby was a bit juvenile for thirty-something. So was Dave. What I really enjoyed about the story was the love that surrounded these two. Gabby had childish dreams. Sometimes impossible to come true. When they didn’t, it was difficult for her to move forward. Dave lived his dream, but like most of us, took it for granted. They actually were a good couple. It was just exhausting watching them get there. I do recommend.
I’ve had this book in my Kindle library for a long time and finally got around to reading it. I loved everything about this book. It’s a Christmas romantic with humor sprinkled throughout. Gabby was bold to do what she did, with the help of her sis, to find her Dave. What began as a text message sent to the wrong person turned into something quite romantic. I was cheering for Gabby and Dave, but cheering more for Hannah, DJ and Buddy.
Every year at Christmas time, I search out holiday romance. There's nothing like a little love with a glass of eggnog. I almost missed this one and so glad I didn't. I don't know how KL Brady manages to write romance that is equal parts emotional tug and belly laugh. The plot twists keep coming...always with humor...until girl gets her guy and readers get the happily ever after. Fast-paced, this is such a fun holiday read.
I was expecting sappy Christmas romance and I got it. I expected happy ever after and I got it. I expected some hilarity and I got it. I expected fluffy and cavity sweetness and I got it. This was a really nice read. It was just the kind of break I needed from the genres I usually devour. So, five stars for making me "Aaaw" out loud more than three times and for warming my heart over the season.
This book was a glorious bundle of hilarity and romance. I loved the way Gabby and Dave got to know each other before they even got the chance to meet. And once they got together their chemistry was fantastic. Even though Dave hadn't been completely honest with her about everything, the reason for his deception didn't make me dislike him, but had me wishing he'd try harder to tell her the truth. I will tell you that the happily-ever-after of the story made me sighing with contentment.
I love Christmas stories and am married to a Dave, so this is a perfect story for me. Very touching and smothered in happiness, it is the best Christmas treat. I will want to read it again this Christmas, and you don't want to miss all the joy!
This is a great book. Although there are a few errors; it nothing that will detract from the story. This is a story where the characters are required to examine their own actions and preconceived ideas. Love and forgiveness truly bring about miracles.
This was a feel good story. It was so much fun to read. Loved Dr. Hannah and her assistant DJ. Gabby and Vic were not only sisters but best friends. Dave is every woman's dream. Thank you Ms Brady for sharing.
What's not to like in this adorable novel. It had all the parts for a cute and comedic romance. If you're looking for a sweet novel, look no further, you've found it!
Very average, a little cliche. Worth finishing and enjoying as a holiday read, but very much so gives cheesy hallmark Christmas movie, where I think I'm more of a cheesy Netflix Christmas movie person. You can spy the plot from a mile away which is fine...but the writing doesn't make you swoon and long for the happy ending. I found myself kind of reading to get it over with, not necessarily reading because I was captivated by the story. But it was FINE, I think I personally just don't like easily avoidable conflicts. So because of that it gets a 3 instead of something lesser for my own personal biases
This book had all the makings of a Hallmark holiday movie. The mistaken text send to wrong/right person, then not having proper information for a meet up, a disappointing reality from missed meet up., a plan to find Mr. Right but finding out a secret that is or is not a secret. Everything about it was cute and perfect for a holiday at home flick. I loved all the characters, they were great and well developed. My reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is a personal note. I do not like when the tail end of one chapter is repeated in the next chapter. We just read it so we know what happened, no need to repeat it. It feels like filler for word count and takes away from the progession of the story.
Other than that this was a really good story, still worth the read!
If only the man I was dating with 2 kids and a dog could’ve ended up like this. Not the typical love story. I wasn’t sure if Gabby would be able to figure things out with Dave but in the end it all worked out. Definitely a book I couldn’t put down.
This book was fun and entertaining to read. I really enjoyed it and would read again from this author when I need light reading between my JD Robb books.
