Graded Chinese Reader: HSK 3 (600 Words Level): The Boy Who Needed Help and Other Stories

Rate this book
This bilingual book contains not one, but five short stories written in Simplified Chinese and English. Each story tells a life lesson, and is short enough for you to practice re-telling the story to your friends in both Chinese and English.

Designed to help you improve your Chinese reading, pinyin is provided with each Chinese character so that you learn how to pronounce the words as used in the context of the story. The English translation of each sentence is also provided.

The stories use words taken from the HSK Exam Level 3 word list (additional vocabulary kept to a minimum). Candidates preparing for the exam can revise their required vocabulary without being overloaded with new ones. Learners not preparing for the HSK exam can use this book to build up Chinese fluency in a structured manner.

Find inspiration from the boy who needed help, the boy who wanted sweets, the boy who hit frogs, the boy who had bad friends, and the boy who caught a fish.

Get inspired in both Chinese and English, and use this book to build up your Chinese fluency at the same time!
