A collection of two holiday books in the Comfort Crossing Series. (Books 2.5 & 3.5) THE CHRISTMAS COTTAGE A story of love, moving on, and a dog named Louie Veterinarian Holly Thompson accepts a temporary position in Comfort Crossing in an effort to escape all things Christmas. What she finds is a small town that embraces all things Christmas and a handsome neighbor with a small son who both capture her heart. Add to that their adorable pup, and she knows the holidays are not going to be what she planned. At all. Steve Bergeron is quite content being a single father. He’s not willing to risk his heart — or his son’s — on another woman who is sure to leave them. It’s quite clear Holly will be gone by the new year. But he finds himself willing to do anything to chase away the sadness that lurks in the depths of Holly’s eyes. This isn’t part of his carefully laid out plans. At all. When an accident on Christmas Eve forces them both to question their choices, can the magic of the season warm their hearts and bring love and joy back into their lives? THE CHRISTMAS SCARF Sometimes, Christmas wishes bring their own special magic… Missy Sherwood has always wished for one thing, to be a country singer. After trying to make it for years in Nashville, she returns to her hometown of Comfort Crossing, Mississippi, feeling like a misfit and a failure. But there’s no use in telling anyone the truth just yet—she’s here for longer than the holidays, she's home for good. Right? Dylan Rivers is glad to see his old friend return to town, not only to help him with the children’s Christmas pageant, but because her homecoming sparks long-forgotten but never acted upon feelings. But there is no use in acting on those feelings, she’s soon to head back to her fabulous career in Nashville. Right? Then a stranger comes to town and has Missy re-examining her dreams. She gets one final chance at stardom, and her life-long wish is within her grasp. Is there really magic in the stranger’s scarf, or is it in the power of knowing her heart’s true wish?
Kay Correll is a USA Today bestselling author of sweet, heartwarming stories that are a cross between women’s fiction and contemporary romance. She is known for her charming small towns, quirky townsfolk, and the enduring strong friendships between the women in her books.
Kay splits her time between the Southwest coast of Florida and the Midwest of the U.S. and can often be found out and about with her camera, taking a myriad of photographs, often incorporating them into her book covers. When not lost in her writing or photography, she can be found spending time with her ever-supportive husband, knitting, or playing with her puppies - a cavalier who is too cute for his own good and a naughty but adorable Australian shepherd. Their five boys are all grown now and while she misses the rowdy boy-noise chaos, she is thoroughly enjoying her empty nest years.
Two stories by an author that is new to me. Sometimes you have a plan to make sure all of the hopes and dreams you thought you wanted come true. And sometimes life throws a monkey wrench into those plans and makes you reach into your heart to discover what it is that you really and truly want.
CHRISTMAS COTTAGE Holly wants to get out from town, and the memories of Christmas, Taking a temporary 2 week position, so that vet could leave town. Finding herself in Comfort Crossing, or a place that is all Christmas. To lights around her cottage to helping decorate the neighbors tree. Been a year and love comes again. CHRISTMAS SCARF Missy comes back, and finds everyone has moved on with new marriages and lives of their own. No room at her Mother’s now so she says at a friend’s place, and thoughts of what has passed since she was last here. Time to follow her heart, cute story
Christmas stories are always special. Mr Nick & his magic scarf, a little boy remembering his lines in the Christmas play AND getting the wish of all wishes. - a puppy. And a young.woman who realises she has been given through all her "Star" wishes crumbling into the. greatest Christmas cookie of all and meeting Mr Nick & falling in love with Dylan, that her song "My Town" tells her she's where she's meant to be!
I enjoy Kay Correll's writing. This book had two quick reads for the busy Christmas season. The small town wholesomeness is a welcome distraction from the world's stresses. It puts joy of the season and traditions in your heart.
Two sweet clean stories where everything comes right in the end.
This author is very good at what she does, tell small town stories with a romance in them. Time to follow the folks of Comfort Crossing as they straighten out their lives and find love too.
I have read several of the books in this series and just enjoyed them so much. I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks to this Author for a job well done.
This is two books in one. Book one is about the loss of love at christmas and finding it again thanks to a boy and his dog. Well written. A quick read. Book two is about the wants in life and how those change when love comes out way.. Well written.
A well written story about finding what you really want in life, not necessarily what you planned. Missy finally learns that it is about what makes us happy and fulfilled in our life. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
This was a great Christmas & well written. The characters made the story so real it was like you were living the story. Both of the books was like that. Didn't put either one down until I was done with it.
I like the first book in the series, and these two short ones are just as good. Sweet, make your eyes leak just a teeny little bit, filled with small town characters and lots of love!
2 Christmas stories of love and believing in oneself and those you care about. Especially liked the Christmas Scarf. So cute with a little Christmas magic thrown in.
Two sweet short Christmas stories. The stories can help keep the holiday spirit, or cheer someone up. They are both Christmas Season books, showing the best of small towns without preaching.
