Seemed like a living room conversation with somone who has a bold sense of humour. Nothing more than that. Instead of a warm hug its tone is cocky in parts to indicate how one could not but laugh at life's painful events because tragedy is nothing but comedy from a distance. Is it really?

This book had potential but it's nothing more than a collection of some old guy having cracked a few good-bad jokes over the course of his life.

Despite the hype, this book on everlasting optimism disappoints. Lenny Kavich's excessive joking, especially in sensitive situations, border on offensive. His dismissive attitude of serious health risks, and his questionable teaching methods, further detract from any valuable insights.

Overall, a messy read with vague ideas on optimism.
