Rate this book
Steven wants to stay out of the way of all Alphas. To him they’re nothing but trouble and see Omegas as nothing but pieces of meat.

So as a computer engineer, he keeps his mind focused on his job and immediate family.
Until everything goes haywire, and he’s mixed in a battle of surrounding pheromones and testosterones, a botched booking, and an Alpha claiming to be his mate? He’s already had a bad experience with one Alpha, and he’s not going to make the same mistake twice.
But Drake Gryther isn’t going to let Steven go easily… or at all.
Will Steven be the means to bring peace between the Relusons and Grythers?

Or will he do the same thing his family name is know for, and cause a massive pack war?

Lodging the Alpha’s Omega is book 1 of the Alpha Omega Lodge series! There’s steamy times and an adorable baby, plus knotting and of course, M/PREG! There is NO cheating, NO cliffhangers, and definitely a HEA that will have you screaming for more!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. I really enjoyed reading this story. I loved how feisty the omega was! I rated a 4 Star because for me the mating scenes could have been a bit more descriptive.

This was book had an interesting premise. An omega doing his best to avoid any situation with a selfish, arrogant, lust-crazed alpha because of his past. An alpha running his business and is successful, kind, strict, focused, and tiring of the game and would like to find his fated mate. Unexpectedly meeting because of a booking error sets them on the course of discovering, bonding, and setting in motion a possible war between packs.

When everything plays out, though, it's not as interesting as I was hoping. The book was fine and there were some highlights like an independent, confident, strong omega. Steven was an individual and though hurt in his past, he's willing to look at the facts and sees that Drake promises nothing he's unwilling to follow through with. He's also intelligent and resourceful and passionate. He uses his brain to find a solution to the mess Drake's excitement and avoidance caused.

Drake himself was another highlight because he's strong yet doesn't dominate others. He's level-headed and takes his duty as a partner and alpha seriously when it comes to Steven. It certainly doesn't hurt that he's a hottie with a soft heart.

The plot itself had too many things to feel fluid and consistent. There was the romance plot, which was fine and to enhance it there should have only been one other issue surrounding them. Instead we have the chaos of heat season, inter-pack relations due to the bonding as well as not bonding with others, work drama for Steven, a kidnapping, pregnancy and health issues...there was just too much to stay focused on what really mattered. Then there was the random archaic language structure used when Drake diffuses a situation in the lobby. That wouldn't normally be a big deal, it was just pretty jarring because the way everyone spoke throughout the entire rest of the book didn't match. It was like the author was trying too hard to stress the importance of Drake, his power, the situation's resolution, and the respect of the omega's response. So adding all of it together and I wasn't able to sink into the story and just enjoy because there were too many things that broke the flow of the story's coherence and enjoyability.

Overall this was a pretty good book with a satisfying conclusion of peace, hope, reconciliation, and unity. There was love between the MC's and intelligence and passion between them. I've rated this 2.5 stars on my blog but am choosing to round up on review sites because while the book had annoying moments and a lack of focus, it wasn't a bad story and it did deliver on an HEA centered on the couple and unification.

Read and willingly reviewed this ARC from the author.

Weak plot and climax. The steam just wasn't there. The dialogue was choppy and the pacing inconsistent. The scene breaks were done at odd times. Like Steven is chilling in the garden and some random omega comes up and tells him his relationship is gonna start a war. Then it cuts to Drake. WTF? Also, Drake is too overbearing to be cute or adorable, especially after Steven's earlier inner dialogue about being independent. And what was up with the boss' oh so convenient obsession? He had NO ROLE to speak of in the first half of the book, then "BAM!" Uh, hello foreshadowing? The whole story was very inconsistent and choppy, needed a few rounds of edits. Vanity published.

I liked Lodging the Alpha's Omega by Emma Knox. It's the first book in the Alpha Omega Lodge series. It had interesting characters who had hot sexy times. Many storylines were going on this book though, and I can't wait to see how the parties that the Gryther's clan is going to have for the Reluson's clan so that they can find some fated mates for their clan. I hope we will get to see some of them in the next book. I did like Steven and Drake. Steven is an omega cat shifter who ends up at the Alpha Omega Lodge for a nearby convention. However, he has come during heat week, and the town is overrun with in-heat omegas looking for their mates. A glitch in the reservation computer has the lodge overbooked, and Steven finds himself without a room. Demanding to speak to the head alpha, he didn't expect the head alpha to be his mate. However, Steven has been in an abusive relationship before and doesn't want anything to do with alphas. However, Drake seems to be completely different from his previous mate, and so he goes with his instincts and takes a chance on Drake. However, Drake fails to mention that he is intended for another omega from the Reluson pack when he meets and mates his fated mate. Now the Reluson's pack is threatening war. How will the Gryther's clan and the Purr clan defuse the volatile situation? You'll just have to read the book to find out. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Poorly written and silly gay male shifter romance. A fussy and independent feline omega is snared by a wolf shifter alpha. The omega also brings about world peace while pregnant.
Typos: unfamiliarity with written English.

This is the first book in The Alpha Omega Lodge Series. A charming book with great writing. My only complaints are that things happened too fast to work with Steven’s character. I don’t mind insta love or mates when it works with the characters. The story also could have used more detail to make it a deeper story. I thought that Steven gave in a little too easy to Drakes overprotective attitude and actions. The flow of the story could have been little smoother but it wasn’t too bad. Having said all this, this story was great and I would have liked more of it. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters enjoyable. The characters were developed and thought out. Drake is an Alpha and Steven is an Omega are the MC’s of this book and fated mates. There was humor, wolves, shifters, an overbooked hotel, mates, a rogue pack, a birth, family, friends, meds for Omega heat and so much more in this book.

Here is a quote from the book, “I have a reservation. Steven Purr.” Ethan’s face twisted. Typing into his computer, he took a long hard look at the monitor and shook his head. Sucking his teeth, he said, “I’m sorry, we’re all sold out and overbooked.” He ran a hand through his hair at the disappointment. No. Mother. … Way. This pussy cat was going to shred someone up. “Excuse me? My paid reservation was sold?” I began to hiss. “I’m sorry—” “Bet your unlucky … you’re sorry! Where’s the manager, I want a room! I don’t care how you get it, even if you have to pull it out your …!” I leaned in and hissed, “Get it!”. There is more but you will need to read the book which I can recommend. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

Steven is an Omega who was sent by his work to a conference in Wrendall Town and it was his time of the month, his heat week. He always stayed away from Alphas during this time of the month, but with work scheduling this conference it was unavoidable. In the past he had a bad experience with an Alpha and didn’t want to deal with another one.

Drake is the head Alpha of the town. He owns the Omega Lodge Inn where Steven has a room booked. When Steven gets there, there’s a mixup with the rooms being double booked and Drake brings him to his room and claims him as his fated mate.

I know this is the first book in this series, but it seemed like I was missing something with some of the terms the author used. It took me until chapter five to figure out what a “knot heavy Alpha” was. And when they were getting busy, Steven used the term “slick”. At first I thought it was another word for his pre-cum, but then he said his “fluttering hole was soaking wet for him”. So I guess it was coming out of his backside.

Just one more thing... Steven is a cat shifter. When I think of a cat shifter, I think of a big cat such as a tiger, lion or a panther; something big and intimidating. Steven is a cat. Like a little house cat that meows and Drake is a wolf shifter... I think I literally laughed out loud at the image that popped in my head.

Overall it was an interesting read. Different from other Mpreg books I’ve read. A little too much happening for such a short story. There is a HEA with no cliffhanger.

I voluntarily reviewed an Exclusive ARC of this book.

Wrendall Town is a small town where Alphas and Omegas, of various species, meet. During Omegas’ heat the town becomes very busy. It’s actually a small resort town with a very nice hotel, divided into facilities for unmated Alphas and Omegas and never the twain shall meet. That is, until something goes awry with the registration system. In this world there are medications that will reduce or eliminate the pheromones that cause rage lust when Omegas are in heat, if the Omega so desires.
Steven is a very independent Omega who has no interest in finding his life mate Alpha. When he meets his fated mate he quickly changes his mind. After all, he’s only there on business as a programmer.
Alpha Drake owns the town and the hotel and is surprised to find his fated mate Omega is right there in town. There is quite a hubbub, told in length, as Drake and Steven find themselves meant for each other, despite the fact that Drake is a wolf shifter and Steven is a cat shifter.
There is a lot of drama surrounding Drake and Steven, which is interesting to follow, especially when Steven becomes pregnant. Drake and Steven both have very supportive parents. I thought the little quirk that while pregnant neither man/shifter is aware whether the baby will be a kitten or a puppy, Alpha or Omega. The resolution is quite satisfying.
I enjoyed this book and recommend it for light reading.

Steven is an omega who doesn't want to find his mate. He is happy focusing on his business career. Unfortunately he has to go away for a business conference and he is going into heat. The town where the meetings are is going a little nuts since it is the time for the omega/alpha heat time. Steven is shocked by the naughty behavior he sees happening and wants nothing to do with alphas. He goes to the lodge and finds out that his reservation is mixed up. He demands to see the owner/alpha. When Alpha Drake show up, both men are shocked to find out that they are mates. Steven doesn't want any mate.
Alpha Drake is having a bad week. The alphas and omegas are going crazy and a mixed up in reservation has omegas staying in the alpha lodge. Then Drake meets Steven and is thrilled to find his mate. It is too bad that his mate doesn't feel the same way. Drake has a lot of obstacles to overcome to convince Steven that not all alphas are jerks.
I really enjoyed the humor in this book where the gathering seems to be more of a drunken frat party. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

This is the first book I've read by this author and overall I thought it was good. Steven was an Omega who despised Alphas and their touch. He was against the idea of fated mates. So, how was he to survive a week at a business conference taking place at a popular hotel during heat week? Even more so, would he continue to be against the idea when he meets Alpha Drake, his fated mate?

Drake constantly calling Steven his mate got a little redundant. Steven's feline shifter was also never really described in detail to figure out what he was. What was described made his shifter form seem like he was a regular small cat, like something a person would have as a pet. Normally, in shifter stories, a feline shifter is a jaguar or a tiger, but I don't know if Steven was either of those. I did enjoy a other of the supporting characters and am looking forward to reading their stories.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Although I rather liked the first part of the book, the further the book went the more it felt like the author was trying to cram too many plot points into a single book. Especially as this book is the first book in the series, it would have benefited from a more streamlined plot with more details/world-building.

This is an Alpha/Omega mpreg shifter book (as the blurb makes no note of it being a shifter book I feel that needs to be stated). Steven is a feline shifter, and based on the very brief description sounds like a house cat type of feline (so a few points for unusual). Drake on the other hand is a wolf shifter.

I felt like if the plot had stuck more to Drake trying to woo Steven and Steven trying to hold onto his independence it would have been fine, but there were too many other plots thrown in that just disrupted the flow and made the story feel rather disjointed.

Enjoyed
I received this book for an honest opinion
I enjoyed Drake and Steven book, Drake is the owner of a hotel and alpha of the town. Once a month when omegas go into heat they all come to the town which results in an alpha influx and orgy. Good for business but messy, in the town he's known for being strict as well as tough enforcing alphas to toe the line regarding the omegas.
Steven is an independent alpha hating omega due to a abusive past relationship and when he accidentally lands in the town on the omega heat week he's appalled. When a booking mistake happens he gets his little claws out, and that's when he meets his fated mate Drake.
I enjoyed this book it was a short funny read that made me chuckle on more then one occasion and ended sweetly. A good solid start to a promising series💜

I loved the premise for this book but unfortunately I found it very difficult to read. The writing style just didn't work for me as it didn't flow well and was very disjointed at times. It also was very busy with more plot lines then I could keep up with. I really liked Drake and thought he was a great mate for Steven as he was so level headed and caring. Steven was interesting but I could not really connect with him. If there had been more concentration on Drake and Steven's relationship and the pregnancy I would have enjoyed it more. The secondary characters added a lot to the story and I liked Tom, the omega's that worked in the hotel and Steven's fathers. I will certainly give this author another try as I love MPREG books.

I was looking for an m/m shifter read and this fit the bill. It was a definitely a quick read. The plot seemed a bit rushed. I could have used a bit better chemistry between the two MCs. For a lot of the book I couldn't tell if Steven even liked Drake. It seemed he spent the entire book looking for "space". The plot line with Steven's boss seemed just thrown in. I felt it could have been flushed out more or at least given us a bit more background. I did like the Puur family and Steven's snarky personality definitely came from his fathers. I would have liked Drake to have been a bit more, well Alpha. He was very sweet with Steven, if only the man actually talked to him instead of trying to coddle him.

I loved how the story played out. I loved the characters, Drake and Steven have great chemistry.
The pace was a little all over the place, this is what I felt. This happens from different things that has happened in the story. Some things get either lost from speeding ahead or some things changed to slow you down. To me it didn’t stop me from reading. Like I said I loved the story. I still feel its worth 5 stars. Very good story hope to read more from the author.

I am not one to usually read the shifter alpha/omega mpreg books but I was offered an ARC in exchange for an honest review. There are certain points that I enjoyed a lot but there were certain parts that seemed a bit unrealistic an amateurish. Overall, I liked the story and premise but the writing and plot itself could have been more developed. It seemed like the booked jumped from scene to scene and sped up at the end. It felt like this might be a first book but I think with more elaboration, more time and more realism that it could be a book worthy of 5 stars. The issues didn't make it too difficult to read and again I liked the premise.

I was disappointed in this book as it was very disjointed and had no depth. Every once in a while, one of the characters shifts, but being shifters really is not a big part of this story. There is nothing in the story really tied to being a shifter. There are Alphas, Betas and Omegas, the men can become pregnant - all things that can happen in a non-shifter world too. The main characters pretty much have insta-love because they are "fated mates" so there is no story line about them falling in love. The conflict regarding the potential war seems thrown in and was fixed very easily.

I received this book free and l am volunteering leaving this review.
This is the 1st book in the series and is a great start to the series, can’t wait for the next book.
Steven is an omega cat shifter, he is on business but it is the middle of the heat season and he doesn’t want to find his mate after a disastrous relationship with an Alpha. Drake is Alpha of the Gryther’s pack and knows that Steven is his mate. With Steven’s feelings of not wanting a mate, someone after Steven, the Gryther pack in trouble and a pregnancy this is a great book.

I enjoyed this book. It was a nice start to a series, will be interested to read the next book to see what happens next with secondary characters. I thought Steven and Drake worked well together, they were kind of opposites ends of a scale as to what they wanted from each other, then balanced each other out. I did feel the story was a bit rushed, so it lost some depth, but was still enjoyable. I thank the Emma for the ARC.

Steven and Drake were interesting MC's, but i wanted more understanding of their characters, they felt a bit unfinished. Many of the stories within this book were kinda tucked in here and there but without a strong thread connecting them all together for me.

i definitely want more of this story and will look to see what comes next. Lots of plots within the story-line and some really good supporting characters. I would like to know much more about many of the characters in the story.

**2.5 stars**

Lodging the Alpha's Omega, by Emma Knox, tells the story of Steven, an head strong Omega who during a business trip gets placed into a hotel during omega "heat week" and ends up finding out that his Alpha is the hotel's owner Drake. Silliness ensues over the course of the week where the two need to learn the meaning of compromise and love.

I felt torn when reading this book. It had all the makings of being an automatic favorite: alpha/omega dynamics, a headstrong omega that doesn't fit the "meek stereotype, and mpreg!, but there were tiny things that the characters did or said that began to pile up and made getting through to the end a bit of a challenge. I think that the most difficult part for me was the way that Steven's pregnancy was added into the book. Considering that this was pretty big part of the overall plot of the book and a catalyst for the conflict, I thought that there would have been more care given to the actual pregnancy to make it feel like it could actually be something conceivable. Just because you write something that includes guys getting pregnant doesn't mean that the reader can accept it wholeheartedly, even if they are more receptive to the idea.

I have no problem reading mpreg books, but the pace that was set and just how quickly the fetus was growing was too reminiscent of Twilight and just too unbelievable and that is saying a lot considering it is about a guy getting pregnant and the were-animals that are rampant throughout. I just couldn't get behind the way it was presented.

And then there was the situation with the rival clan. That the alpha had somehow been betrothed to but ignored it until a plot twist/climactic scene was needed and then hastily added in... I have no problem with issues between clans, however, the issue here was that there wasn't any issues. Like, I would have liked some more tension, angst, SOMETHING that would make me believe that these characters were actually in any danger.

And hey, maybe you are someone who can ignore those types of plot details and are just in it for the relationship development, in which case, I think that Lodging the Alpha's Omega might actually be right up you alley. When I first read this synopsis, I was really looking forward to what it had to offer, and I think that if there was some editing and a bit more detail was added to the existing book, this probably wouldn't be all that bad.

Final notes:
- told in alternating first person
- male pregnancy
- omega's go into heat and alpha's into ruts
- kidnapping

Overall this was a pretty good book, the storyline was interesting with romance and some action and intrigue; however I just never felt totally gripped. There was a lot of overcoming preconceived views and unnecessary misunderstandings. I liked the main characters but didn’t love then, but I enjoyed the ending even if it did seem a little rushed at the end in comparison to the slower pace at the start.

This is a very sweet Alpha/Omega love story. Steven is a very independent omega who does not want or believe in fated mates. He meets his fated mate Drake and was not thrilled in the beginning however Drake woos him and they complete the mate bond. Drake shows Steven although he is extremely protective Steven will maintain his independence. I highly recommend reading this book.

A good story with a great storyline and wonderful characters. Drake and Steven instantly know that they are mates and their attraction and chemistry are undeniable. This was a good read for me. I liked the characters and the storyline held my interest throughout. Steven is an Omega and keeps his head down and focused on his work not looking for a mate. Those plans are changed when he meets Drake. This is a fun and entertaining read with interesting characters, their chemistry is steamy. Looking forward to more in the series.

I liked this M/M shifter mpreg romance, but the story got a bit convoluted. I enjoy a complex plot, but in this case, I think there was a little too much going on for the length of the book. Steven and Drake were sweetly hot together, but there was clearly lack of communication going on. I enjoyed it and am curious to see if there will be more in the series.

Very cute story or should I say cuddly?

A quick read about Steven a cat omega and Drake an alpha wolf. I love the town from the begging for to all that craziness, It was just great! I love how the main characters were in touch with their feelings and not afraid of expressing them selves. I can't wait for more I hope Tom and his omega are next.
