Overcoming and Avoiding Illness

Rate this book
The route back to wellness is about to take you on some beautifully winding roads. Inside you will find short cuts to a less stressed, more energized, healthier version of you. Based on six years of independent research, James brings fresh insights to the table driven by his own personal experience with serious illness. Here’s what we know for sure. Sooner or later most of us will face an illness. In a perfect world a solution is found and once again life is good, but I’m guessing you already know the world we live in is far from perfect. What becomes of those who leave the doctor’s office with a set of lingering symptoms, or a treatment plan that makes things worse? What’s your next move if you are told your illness has no solution? Do you have a plan?

To be clear, this isn’t just another hyped up health book to look good sitting on the shelf, this is an empowering, problem-solving tool. There’s a pretty good chance most of what you need to know can be found in this book. To make life easier, critical information is kept interesting with an enjoyable hint of British humor.

This is a heartfelt and inspirational story told through the eyes of an independent author. Unshackled from a conventional publisher James has nothing to fear from telling it like it is. As such, there was never any big release date to drive up book sales, and no slick marketing campaign to draw on either. It’s actually quite surprising that you even found this unusual book, or maybe this book found you.

SIDE NOTE

To get the most out of this journey it pays to bring along an open mind, if you have no room for such mental flexibility then it’s perhaps best if you leave empty handed. While it would be an obvious shame to lose you so early, there is peace in knowing that neither one of us are wasting our time. For those who stay, I suspect illness unites us, if only in our vulnerability to it. Come into my world and firmly bolt the door behind you, together we will find those elusive answers you crave.

One of the most real and influential books I have read!!!

First let me say I have never read a "health" book before. This was not just a book about someone telling you that you HAVE to live your life a certain way. This book makes you look at everything in a very different perspective. The author brings us into his struggles (which we all have in one way or another) and talks through his book as if he is talking one on one with a friend. This was a fantastic read and I strongly suggest anyone reading it.

This is a very informative book, written in a relaxed and chatty style, which makes it easy to read. It is a real pity that there are so many grammatical and punctuation errors (at least in the Kindle version). If it wasn't for that, I would've given the book 5 stars. Well done, Mr Lilley!
