Paranormal Shifter Military Special Ops Romance
Books 1-4 in the Immortal Ops Series!
Contains:
Immortal Ops
Critical Intelligence
Radar Deception
Strategic Vulnerability

Immortal Ops
Immortal Ops Team Captain Lukian Vlakhusha is having issues with his newest target, Peren Matthews. His higher ups want her eliminated. He simply wants her. The alpha side of him demands he claim her—that is, if she’ll have him. After all, he’s what she fears most—a wolf shifter. But there is more to Peren than even she’s aware of and the enemy is closer than anyone imagined.

Critical Intelligence
Roi Majors, wolf-shifter and second in command of the I-Ops, is having a hard time believing that Intel can only get half the information needed to bring down an underground ring of vampires with big-spending backers who are hell-bent on creating a race of supernaturals with multiple strands of DNA in them. When he finds himself paired with the one woman in the world who seems immune to his self-proclaimed charms, he can’t wait to see her to safety and then bid her good riddance. He never counted on falling in love with her. And he sure in the hell never counted on her claiming to be an agent with a branch of the government no human should know about.

Radar Deception
Dr. Thaddeus Green survived a werepanther attack long ago, leaving him immortal and a member of the I-Ops team. He’s dedicated his life to genetics and to serving his country. After his mutated DNA led to the death of his loved one, he vowed to never let anyone close to his heart again. Try as he might, Green is unable to stop the mystical pull to the tall, leggy blonde with a sharp tongue and an even worse bite. Thinking Melanie is suffering from mating withdrawal, Green is prepared to do what he must to assure her survival, even if it means claiming her for himself, regardless of his need to protect his heart. Little does Green know that fate has been preparing him for Melanie Daly all his unnaturally long life.

Strategic Vulnerability
Held prisoner in a remote testing facility in the middle of the Brazilian rain forest, subjected to torture and abuse, shape-shifter and alpha male Wilson Rousseau has long since given up hope of being rescued. Days blend together until he can’t help but long for death. Saved from his isolated hell by a female’s distress call, he feels an instant connection to her.

Kimberly thought she was taking a trip to South America to study indigenous plant life. She had no idea she was playing into the hands of a madman whose goal is to create a genetically altered army of super-soldiers. When she finds herself locked in a cell with Wilson, a man who would give his life to save hers, there is an instant attraction. But the dark secrets surrounding their imprisonment may change their lives forever. Can they find a way to beat the odds and be together, or will the madman win?

I can't talk about all four stories, because I DNFed after the first. But this is what I can say.

-This wasn't a novel, but a novella.
-It's really badly written IMHO. Plot is ludicrous, characterization non-existent. Dialogue was cringing material, but then everything really was. Even as erotica (which should be the right label) I found it bad. (There is a Bad Sex awards, after all.)

Having people stopping a fight so you end up shagging is stupid in too many ways to count.

Indie at its worst.

Great read

I normally don't review books unless I would read them again. I would read these books again they are quick short reads yes they have plot holes, yes everyone gets a happy ever after. The point is they were fun to read. I wanted to know what would happen next. If your looking for a literary classic don't buy these books. If your looking for a love story with a bit of action a little steamy sex at times where you are like really bad guy here and you can drop and literally go at it like rabbits then this is the story for you. If your looking for War and Peace this ain't it. Just four short fun books with alpha men and strong women who don't whine and cry.

Contains adult situations, sex, paranormal themes, violence, and is not intended for the faint of heart.

I do like it when you get a book/box set etc where the characters are actually humorous as well as just top-notch Alpha Male. The repartee between the males and the females in this set of books is a joy to read and there are some real LOL moments. Each of these characters is multi-layered and you get a real insight into them as a person and how their relationship with their mate affects their life and 'job' and effects them as a person. One of the aspects of these books, the blood and the power transfer, was something that I have not read before and thought was a very clever twist on a genre where it is increasingly difficult to have anything 'new'.

I loved the stories and how they followed on from each other. I think, if I absolutely had to choose, then my favourites would be the first and the last stories in this set. I am loving this series and am waiting quite happily for the next in this series. The stories are short(ish), HOT, funny and with lots of action - of every sort! Take the warning though - if you can't handle the heat, stay out of Immortal Ops ;)

Immortal Ops Rocks!

Captivating immortal alpha shifters. The men are extremely sexy and the women are extraordinaire. Love the action packed pages, the romance, and how every single page keeps you wanting the next till there's no more.

By the time I got to the third book, it hit me--not only is this the weirdest werewolf (and whatever) story, where they spend 98% of their time struggling to *not* shift, but it's basically Evangeline Anderson's Kindred series without spaceships or her annoying lack of ability to spell (or hire an editor). It quickly leads to a place where the repetitive story and characters don't matter, the sex and bonding are all the same, and you (well, *I*) wonder why there isn't really great women's erotica out there. We clearly want it, but for some reason are willing to settle for this. *sigh*

I ACTUALLY FINISHED

I was very proud of myself for getting through this whole series. Well there's more and I'll probably read them but they will also get nothing more than twos or threes because this author needs to get her stories to be more clear cut and give them a bit of depth. The ideas presented here are wonderful and unique but they are executed poorly. It was frustrating to read this but I also couldn't stop reading because the story when fleshed out is really good, too bad most of the good writing was done by me while trying to make sense of the leaps and jumps in these books.

Just as a warning the writing does not get better as the series goes on and new characters that are essential to the plot do not get introduced they just simply fall into the storyline as if the reader knows who these characters are through osmosis. However, it is worth saying that the third book is the worst one because the concept does not make a whole lot of sense throughout the book because there are a lot of time jumps where important plot points could have been explained but instead we get nothing and then it's a month later and /Melanie/Elizabeth should be dead according to the previously presented timeline but inexplicably she is not even though Elizabeth is growing stronger.

The second book with the romance between Missy and Roi is the most fleshed out book but the changing attitudes of the characters is rattling to say the least. Every time you turn around Roi or Missy's feelings are completely different than the previous paragraph.

The first book seems to be the best overall because although it's very fast-paced and everything seems to be flying at you from left field it happens to be the least confusing, the most consistent, and the relationship is the most heartfelt with a natural progression.

Now I know I've gone out of order here but the final book which is Wilson and Kim's story is good and the "science" behind the immortal ops begins to make sense in a very Dark Angel season two sort of way. And at the end I was annoyed because unlike the other previous books in the series there was no hint as to what immortal ops agent they would be following next.

One thing I can say for Mandy M. Roth is that she creates an interesting world and engaging characters. There is great potential in her work.

Scholastic!!!!

Immortal Ops is romantically fast paced. I could not put this book down. I got the box set with the first four books, and I just could not put it down. The Immortal Ops team is sexy, animalistic, and powerfully strong men who melt like butter when they find there mates. These big strong sexy men become over protective and loving to these women that are to be their mates. And these women become all consuming to them even though they know nothing about them, but they do know that they are to love protect and make mind blowing love to these women when they find them. And once they find them they are not letting them get away. No matter what they have to do to claim them as their mates they will do it,even if it means they have to kill to protect them.

I was very disappointed in this series. The action was good. The love interest was good although rushed. The sex was off the chart. Way more sex than an actual plot until the last book, which was too bad. I nearly gave up reading these but glad I read the last book. If you like lots of very descriptive sex scenes and sex immediately after the characters meet and during what should be a dangerous looking for the enemy scene then these book are for you! I liked the idea of these books if you could have taken out all the sex and added some substance that would have been perfect. I believe these are great books for the right person...I'm not that person.

this is a new author for me . i love paranormal books and this fit in.this sex has different shape shifters and vampires in it. Alpha males and their kick butt other halves .you have the normal crazy bad guys trying to rule the world and the men and women trying to live long enough to save it. There is plenty of action along with humor and hot sex.if you enjoy shifters and lots of action in a book ,give this author a try ,you won't be sorry.i look forward to next installment .

The Immortal Ops series by Mandy Roth got me definitely hooked 🤗.
Though I would've like to have more of Lukian and Peren.
The next three books were amazing, it was action-packed, it was hot and fun to read I really enjoyed it. Can't wait for the rest of the books 😉

I was not in love with the writing in this. The story was interesting at times but honestly a lot of the dialogue ran on forever for no reason. I found the name choices and nicknames really distracting and the “romance” part of the series very forced. I’m not new to insta-mates but this was nanoseconds. I was honestly bored. Look I love a good spicy read but this was literally so boring I found myself skimming a lot to get to what I hope was some kind of plot.

Great

I have been avoiding box sets because they tend to disappoint. However, this box set has gone above and beyond. I loved the characters and the storylines. I will definitely be reading the rest of the series.

Book #1: Immortal Ops 4 stars
This was a very quick, fun and exciting story. I would consider this book a novella because of short it is. This was a great introduction to the series. Even though it is short, the character development is well done. I liked all the characters that were introduced. It is easy to read, the story flows well, the adventure is interesting and it will make a paranormal romance lover want to read the next book once you finish. I would recommend this book to any adult that loves paranormal romances.

Book#2: Critical Intelligence 5 stars
I liked this story more than the first book! I really enjoyed Missy and Roi's interactions with each other. Roi is hilarious throughout the entire book. He makes many asinine and hilarious sarcastic comments which made me laugh so many times. Missy was a very sassy and witty woman. She was very enjoyable and one of the best heroines in the series. These two complimented each other very well in the story. There is lots of action, adventure and even more interesting facts to learn about the characters! I think this story is my favorite in the series.

Book #3: Radar Deception 4 stars
Wow, this book was not what I expected. Ms. Roth really brought her A game to this story. There are many more surprises that a reader will not expect at all with Melanie and Green's story. Out of the 4 books I've read in this series, this was my least favorite only because I didn't like Green in the story. You get to see a different side to him… Any who, I loved Melanie! She is worth 4 stars alone. She is such a fun loving, happy, selfless, blunt, smart, and strong in your face woman! I really enjoyed all her blunt comments to everyone in the story. She speaks her mind and could care less what anyone else thinks. There is plenty more action in this book, it won't let any follower of the series down. The only part that made me cringe was Green's actions, that was hard to get through.

Book#4 Strategic Vulnerability 4 stars
This was another awesome story to the series! I was not expecting for Wilson's mate to be intertwined so well in the series. There are quite a few more interesting events that continue and are introduced in the story that makes this series even more thrilling than it already is. I enjoyed reading Kimberly and Wilson's relationship; this was one of my favorites in the series because of how determined and driven both people were about the other person. I liked that Kimberly was a very smart and logical woman. She knew how to handle every situation she was in right from the start of being captured. I loved getting to know another side of Wilson. In the series, we got to see him make plenty of jokes, banter with the fellas and his strong loyalty to his team. The story showed a much softer side to him. He really showed his emotions, love and strength; which made him a not just another person on the team but showed how great of a man he is. I wish this story would have been longer so I could have seen these two together more in the world and not trapped. Overall, this was a very enjoyable read!

Immortal Ops
Wow! Peren goes out with her friends on her 24 bday only to run away because she was tired of her friends trying to set her up with a man. She was still suffering from her last boyfriend and found it easier to just leave then explain to them why she didn't want to be bothered. That didn't last long because Lukian didn't let her get too far. His main reason for going was to kill Peren seeing she was a target of his team in the first place. He quickly found out that she was more then just a target and it was on from there. I hate how short this was because I could've just kept going reading about the two. Can't wait to see what happens with Roi because he seems like a handful.

Critical Intelligence
HOTT! Roi went down just like I thought he would...hard! Missy surprised me with all her wonders but I had a feeling something was off with her from the way she was taking it all in stride in the beginning. Once the truth was starting to come out I was floored and their prior meeting was great. Kind of gross but good non the less. I can't wait to read what's in store next.

Radar Deception
Freaky Mel! The whole double playback in the beginning was crazy but it explained more than enough. I couldn't believe Mel was mad with Green when she was the one holding him back. I didn't like how they kept going after Wilson but he took it in stride and gave as much back. I can't wait to read what's going on with him. I also can't wait for Eaden to find who he's meant for so he wouldn't have to be alone anymore.

Strategic Vulnerability
Couldn't believe they gave up on Wilson so easily I doubt he wouldve left them like that. Krauss really was a monster in this one with what he was doing not only to Wilson but to everyone he captured. I had a feeling of what they'd done to Kim I thought Wilson was going to be able to do magic and get them out of it once she was there and their magic combined. I really like Wilson, I knew he was a little hurt by all the rat jokes in all the stories. Him and Kim were prefect for each other in that sense. I would've liked to see her father do more with Krauss seeing he was supposed to be so powerful. You would think he'd be able to pick up her being in trouble before she was killed. These get better and better. I can't wait to read about Jon, he's so quite that I'm sure he'll be great to read about.

Tactical Magik
Edan was called back to PSI to find one of the kids from the Asia project leaving the guys of his temp IOp team. From the first glance at the picture of Inara he knows that what his sister had been trying to tell him was true. Once he found her they both were trapped but saved by his former team. Her connection with Lukian and Roi was classic, serves Roi right for the hard time he'd been giving Edan.

I recieved an Arc by the author for an honest review.

I so love the I-Ops...as an idea is amazing despite the fact that most books are not so well written and the plot has holes and at points we get scenes that were not meant to be there.
I love the fact that this group of Ops can be funny as hell and Alpha as hell and at the same time just a bunch of men goofing around.
Each one of them has his own personality that fits him to the T and the mates on the other hand are so fitting that makes you wanna laugh knowing these men found their match to all things considered.
So is the series worth a 5 star rating....yes....despite all the flaws and all the difficulties its an awesome series.

The stories get better and better and you have to love the I-Op men and their mates!!!
The stories are fast paced and with lots of Alpha hotness and sexyness and laughter.
The usual problems with gramatical mistakes in the writing , afew holes in the plot and a scene that comes out of nowhere but still it won't hold you back from felling in love with the series and its character.

Great series and am now adding the rest of the series to my collection. Ms Roth adds new details to immortals, shifters, faes etc. I love the imagination authors use to define paranormals. I object to reviewers who simply don't read closely enough and then say they are confused. If you are going to rate the books at least read them. To clear up a couple of misunderstandings, the mating rules change somewhat by specie: shifter, fae, etc. The group was not in a "mansion somewhere," but in the office of the Immortal Ops. to view through the two way mirror.

These heroes are a militaryish group, tied to each other but not so much the rules. Bad good guys who become enamored of their mates and make changes they didn't think possible. These men work for the right side even though they have to do some bad things to right wrongs or prevent more.

They are and are defending those who have been genetically altered to become paranormals, or in some cases enhance their paranormal skills.

These brothers in arms are very like siblings who pick on each other but fight to the death to prevent anyone else hurting them. There is humor, sex, and love as well as the good guys win. What more can you ask for. (except more books, of course.) Enjoy! I did.

REVIEW

I enjoyed each book and the stories that continued into the next book.
I like books when they keep characters into the next book if they are apart of series.

These stories are all about Immortal Ops warriors of varying paranormal species who fall inlove with women who are strong in their own right but they are not a paranormal species.

We get tons of action as each op is forced into a power play by a bully of sorts who has created creatures using the mixture of a paranormal species with a human who has some sort of power.

The characters were strong and very well written I wish there was more to each story but each was a wonderful short read if you like a variety of paranormal shifters such as I do .

I would recommend and I personally hope to read more of the series .

This series is definitely one of my favorites now. I loved books one through four. And I won't stop there. The storyline is extremely creative and well written. The way the stories played out had me glued to the pages. I literally could not put this set down. The characters are a combination of beings and personalities that were awesome. Although, I did find the women to be bad-ass and even their mates, along with each member of the team, were afraid of them at times. Some even cowering and not being ashamed to admit it. Each book is full of action, suspense, mystery, romance, a lot of laugh out loud moments and some 'holy hotness' moments. I loved the hot and steamy scenes. Whew... Sexual beings, by nature, are a great bonus. Mandy M. Roth did an amazing job at writing an amazing series.i can't wait to read more
