Rate this book
Taggart takes on gangs armed with sophisticated weapons who are battling for control and spreading terror in British Columbia.

The twelfth Jack Taggart Mystery sees criminal gangs armed with sophisticated weapons battling for control in British Columbia ― spreading terror through indiscriminate violence.

Jack Taggart discovers the guns are being smuggled into Canada from the United States. After a fellow officer is murdered in cold blood, Taggart goes undercover to infiltrate a white supremacist faction to track down the killers. He soon finds himself unarmed and without backup in the fortress-like compound of the leader, a self-proclaimed survivalist. All is going well ― until his cover is blown and he is caught within the compound with nowhere to escape.

Jack Taggart is one tough guy. Not many would insert themselves undercover in a white supremacist group but he does and he acquits himself well until things go wonky. This is classic strong but odd detective territory with lots of bad guys who get what they deserve. The writing is taut, the plot trips along quickly, and it's a page turner. Thanks to the publisher for the ARC. I read this as a standalone and enjoyed it. Perfect for travel.

Another great book by Don Easton. I have read all twelve books and they have all have been exceptional. I have lived in British Columbia all my life and can relate to the familiar areas that the book takes you. I have met Don and Brenda several times at the book store in the Victoria area and have been impressed by how courteous and friendly they are. Keep up the good work and looking forward to next fall when I hope there will be another book. Al Pastor

I have read all of the Jack Taggart series and been engrossed since the first chapter in each book. The series follow Jack and his partner Laura through their undercover operations. The characters are compelling and Mr Easton makes you feel you know these characters and are part of their lives. You cannot help but be emotional! That is the mark of a great story teller. I cannot wait for the next one! Thank you for enriching my reading experience! You won't be disappointed!
