Broke actors Joel Craig and C. Stephen Foster have just been cast as series regular roles on The Julianne Moore and Madonna Half-Hour Comedy Show. During filming, Madonna is kidnapped by Mae Dunaway, the evil twin sister of Faye Dunaway, and whisked away to the planet, Zerock, that exists in an alternate parallel universe. Joel and Stephen are in hot pursuit in efforts to rescue Madonna from the evil clutches of May and get help from some new friends along the way in the city of Gaytopia. JOEL CRAIG is an actor and writer and lives with his musician husband, Donovan Holden. They have been married twice with the second time finally being legal. In addition to Journey to Gaytopia, Joel has also written Welcome To Nursing HELLo, a Graphic Memoir. Joel is also an actor, having appeared in the films, Sideshow and Sordid Lives as well as the web series, What’s My Intention?

This one's different! A humorous alternative reality graphic novel in which our two heroes have to wrangle with the evil twin sister of the glamourous actress Fay Dunnaway who's kidnapped pop goddess Madonna!

It was a pleasant change to read an LGBTQ+ focused graphic novel, it's a genre where the community is sadly under represented and this one was a funny and outrageous journey through a fantasy world which closely resembled our own but with enough "left of centre" happenings to make it clear it wasn't life as we know it.

There's lots of snark and as for whether our two erstwhile heroes manage to rescue Madonna from mad Mae, you'll have to buy it and see!

This was my first book by Mr. Craig. And Graphic Novels are a guilty pleasure of mine. I so loved this one! The concept is fresh and it made me laugh all the way through! The only thing that could make this gem even better would be finding out it will be a series!! I need more Gaytopia Adventures. I actually hope Madonna reads this as I know she would love it too.

Journey to Gaytopia by Joel Craig is a graphic novel about two broke actors by the name of Joel Craig and Stephen Foster. In this story, they make their big break into their acting career on The Julianne Moore and Madonna Half Hour Comedy Show. Unfortunately before they could start their first episode, Madonna was kidnapped by Faye Dunaway’s evil twin sister Mae. Their journey takes them to the City of Gaytopia and along the way get help from some new friends.

There’s three things that I’ll admit right now. The first, it’s been a few years since I’ve read a graphic Novel. The second, I’ve never read on as an electronic publication. The third, I truly enjoyed Journey to Gaytopia. I couldn’t help but laugh about Madonna getting kidnapped by Mae Dunaway. And the fact that she was Faye Dunaway’s evil twin sister? Classic to say the least. Then there was the Diva/Snark commentary between Madonna and Stephen that had me cracking up.

For anyone who enjoys Graphic Novels, I would highly recommend Journey to Gaytopia by Joel Craig.
