So glad I bought the first 2 books before starting this series. I kept seeing the books but, had so many other books to read, I kept putting it off. I had no inkling how awesome this series would be. Sexy, intriguing, can't stop reading good. Each book is a cliffhanger and keeps you wanting more.

OKAY!
I just, sigh, this story, I tell ya!
Have you ever had that ONE story, the one that drives you batty, has you throwing your hands up in the air saying nope I am done- this character is driving me crazy. YET you cannot tear yourself away, you are addicted to the back and forth, mystery, intrigue, and for the love of fiction, you are going to find out how all this madness ends?!
Yeah, that's me right now, I feel like I am going to need some kind of 12 step program when this is all over ha!
After reading the first two books in this suspenseful, dark, twisted, dizzyingly provocative mysterious Kelly Black Affair Storyline, diving into book three was a nerve-wracking, yet exciting adventure!
The plot just keeps getting more twisted! Just when I think I am getting a handle on things, C.J Thomas goes and throws me off!
A story I love to dislike that is bold/entertaining/deep/intriguing with love in the midst it all- I cannot wait for more!!

I awaited CJ's third book in the Kelly Black Series, with anticipation, the first two got me hooked, and Obsession didn’t disappoint.
The things I like about CJ's writing are characters; she makes you care about them; the stories have good suspense and romance, and she’s good at cliffhangers.
Obsession includes the usual suspects, Kendra, Madam, Kendra’s friend/roommate Alex, and of course, the prime suspect in a murder case, Nash Brooks.
At the end of the last book, Kelly was arrested for assault and Kendra was beside herself. He was released, though he wasn't so concerned about the arrest as he was about interrogating Nash Brooks, even if it meant Kendra would lose Alex's friendship.
As Kendra chased after Kelly, and Kelly chased after Madam and Nash and then, he made Kendra chase after Alex, the story got a bit dizzying. A little song played in my head, “all around the mulberry bush; the monkey chased the weasel…”
The second half of the book, CJ regained ground and tackled the pertinent points about her suspense series, who killed Maria Greer, and why. Did it have anything to do with Mint, the secret, and exclusive BDSM Club, and what if the murderer wasn’t the obvious suspect?
As the red herrings continue to multiply, I’m hoping they don’t end up smoked.
Which brings me to the same question I had before, why does Kendra keep putting herself in unnecessary danger, tempting fate? All I can surmise is something is going to happen to her, thus adding to the tension, and I think the tension is a good thing.

Intense erotic thriller
I've been following Kelly Black through all three books and I couldn't wait until book three got here, and I was not disappointed. I stayed up until four a.m. to finish and I'm still on pins and needles waiting for book four.
C.J. Thomas is a mastermind at weaving a story filled with intrigue, doubts, doublecrosses, and a storyline that holds your attention. I'm so hooked.
Kendra is fascinating. She is deeply woven into the fabric of the story. She is one of Madam's girls and Kelly has purchased her time for thirty days. Yet Madam seems to play games with her and Kelly the entire time making Kendra doubt herself and Kelly.
Kelly is the most sexy and dangerous Dom Kendra could have gotten involved with. Madam worked hard to bring them together, yet we aren't really sure how and why she toys with both of them.
Add a murder Kelly is trying to solve, a crooked D.A., Kendra's uncle threatening her, and Kelly's arrest, and your head is spinning. I still don't know 'who's on first!'

Mystery, intrigue, duplicity and danger continue to swirl around Kelly and Kendra. The player list is ever increasing and intricately entangled. Some one is pulling strings and all clues point to Madam. Kelly seems to be stymied at every turn. Kendra is also being manipulated and in addition, Madam is playing on her insecurities. Kelly guides Kendra through a red carpet world while trying to connect the dots of Maria Greer's murder. Things are not adding up.
Kelly's need and obsession of Kendra is what really grounds him. Her submission flows over him like a serene waterfall. Kendra tries to keep her worries at bay but still need answers about Nora's death.
These two together are off the charts sexy. You can't help but root for them as a couple as they navigate the murky waters surrounding them.

Still so many unanswered questions. Although I did give the book a high rating, I think this is being strung out a bit too much. None of the pressing questions that I had from the previous book were answered, barely even touched on actually. I still think the Madam needs knocked off her throne. Kelly is just a bit too high handed for my tastes, and Kendra just a bit to wishy-washy. Of course I'll need to read the next book, crossing my fingers that everything will be answered and an ending will be reached.

The suspense has you wanting to read book by book and not stopping till the storyline is complete. Black Obsession is an intense read. Very full of drama, suspense and mystery this book engages your interest easily. A complex story with complex characters. Ends on a cliffhanger. I'm voluntarily reviewing an ARC copy of this book.

Smoking Hot!!!

I continue in my quest to see if Kendra and Kelly Black can truly make this work.
Just a small disclaimer: I’m truly invested in this Book Series, this is the third installment in a six book series.
As I have stated in my previous reviews of this series, this not quite a romance, thriller nor dramatic book series but all of the above.
Because the book series entails so many aspects it leads the reader into an obstacle course in each genre of romance, mystery etc. Therefore, it becomes a little harder with each installment to focus on the romantic aspects between the main characters.
The author once again feels as though she needs to wrap it up and provide the reader with yet another cliffhanger. I have read trilogies before, but six books in a series is getting to be a bit much with no real end insight.
Again, I’m committed to seeing these main characters through in the next installment Black Regrets.
