SAM:

What is love?
Is it patient?
Is it kind?
Who the hell knows.
I don’t.
I just know I must save the one person I’ve ever opened my cold heart up to.
I don’t care what it takes to save her.
I sell drugs. I sell my soul. I don’t care. She just has to live.
Then enters Logan Prescott.
He makes sure to screw everything up. He makes me care.
He makes me feel…
And that is just not okay.

LOGAN:

Hollywood.
Lies. Sex. Fans. Attention.
Lonely.
I’ve been alone for far too long, caught up in a world I love but is slowly killing me.
The real me. The one behind the lights.
Then there’s her. The smart ass waitress who hates me with a fiery passion.

Trigger Warning: This is not a typical love story. Sam and Logan's story contains disturbing scenes, drugs, sex and strong language.

Highly emotional, gut-wrenching story!

What an emotionally intense and beautiful story this is. Right from the very beginning I was swept into a passionate story that was filled with angst, love, death and unbelievable anger. The story is raw, gritty, dark and at times not an easy one to read. It made me laugh, it made me feel intense anger and it also made me cry (the ugly cry)! This is one emotional rollercoaster ride that will rip your heart out, smash it into a million pieces and then eventually piece it back together again.

Sam is an exceptional character who I could relate to 100%. She’s fierce, witty, strong willed and quite the spitfire. Her emotions and actions either gutted you or made you insanely angry at her. Her fear and anger oozed off the pages and at times made me feel like they were my own. She has lived a hard life giving up everything in order to save her mom. Not all of her choices and decisions will make you happy – sometimes they will make you scream – but Sam needed to find herself and sometimes in order to do that you need to go through utter darkness first.

The other characters in this story are brilliantly written. They all have deep dark secrets that leak out into the story. There are some characters that I loved but others that I wanted to eliminate myself. They were all very relatable and believable characters. I can’t wait to read more about them in future stories.

I absolutely loved this book. Sam’s story left me shocked and breathless. It hurt my heart at times and made me remember some deep dark moments in my life similar to Sam’s, but overall the story was phenomenal and brilliantly written.

Highly recommend.

Loved

I love Bry Ann more with every book of hers I read. This story is just, wow. I honestly didn't know where this story would go but oh how I loved it. Logan is just, everything and Sam pushes me right off! I love her but really? She did that? I hope Logan can get past it because I am having a hard time. I can't wait to read the next book in the series! Definitely a must read!

This story blew me away!!!

Starting a little light hearted and funny, but taking unexpected twists and turns throughout.
The characters have amazing chemistry while going through heartbreakingly and sad mixtures of emotions. Bry Ann delves into deeply emotive and heavy issues in such a caring and compassionate way, bringing out raw and deep emotions. A highly recommended emotional rollercoaster that I couldn't put down. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

I didn’t love this one as much as Axel but I am interested in the next one because I really liked Gunner and am excited to read his story. This story had some dark moments and definitely went to some dark places but doesn’t really go in to too much detail. I think I love the characters the most in this story.

The story starts off with our main character, Sam Perkins, walking us through her life. The struggle of spending her years supporting her mother through a battle with cancer. You can see that Sam begins to lose her true self as she ages, now she is lost.

Then enters a famous heartwarming Logan Prescott, who has decided to befriend Sam. He sees pretty perfect. The commitment that he shows towards Sam and his sister is incredible.

The title leads you to believe that Sam is saving someone else. But in reality while she may be doing that, she is truly saving herself. As well as Logan and her new family saving her from destruction as well.

All in all I really liked this books concept, and am excited to read other books by Bry Ann!

Wow

What an amazing book. Had a lot of tough situations. Also love that this book goes into the struggles of rape victims and how they feel. I absolutely loved this story. Some was hard to read but it just made the story better. Happy for Dana also going after Gunner. Loved the characters. Also Jasmine was an amazing little girl in this book loved reading her. Hated Tim with a passion from the beginning. Happy with how everything turned out. Somethings felt like they happened to fast like one paragraph Jazzy was 1 1/2 and the next she was 5. Some just skipped way ahead by months. Over all I loved this read!

I don’t know where to start because this book left me broken. I was hooked from the beginning and couldn’t put it down. I laughed so hard to some part, and screamed, cried to others.

While reading this book be prepared to be thrown into two worlds, but if you like romand and dark, then this book is for you! It is so well written. You get a mixed of both and it is just perfect.
There were so many twists, I hold my breath the whole time and had my stomach in knots.
When you think everything is finally over and good, boom the author decides to change it all!!!

At some point in the book, I though I was going to throw my kindle out the window and shout to the author, because that is not how I expected the book to go. But then again, she surprised me, and I loved it.

The characters are well developed. You get to know Logan, Sam... and so many more. I can’t tell you too much. Some I loved and some well...not so much!
But that is part of the deal when you read a book, you can’t love all the characters and that is what makes it perfect.

They all have a different role to play in the story and you get to know their background, to understand them all better.

I really can’t wait to read book 2 with... ok ok I can’t tell you, but what I can tell is you haven’t read it yet, don’t wait anymore :)

This review took a bit of time to write as it was difficult to put in to words the emotions I felt through this story. Bry Ann covers some very hard issues cancer, rape, abuse and kidnapping. I know there will many people who one these topics will affect. Mine is the loss of a loved one to cancer. Bry Ann doesn't over glamourise the topics, they read real and true.

Sam is girl struggling, looking after her terminally ill mother, working and coping on her own. Logan is a famous actor/singer surrounded by an entourage and fans but is lonely and with his own issues. Neither have freinds until they meet each other and something just clicks and over time they become close. Sam finds herself in a desperate situation, together with the death of her mum opens the door to a spiral of events which involves Sam, Logan, and their family.

Be warned will need a comfortable place (as you won't want to stop once you start this book), a cushion (to throw when you get to the angry/frustrating parts) and the biggest box of tissues ever (as there is no way you can read this and not get emotional).
Its heart wrenching, intense, sad, happy, uplifting, it's everything!! but OMG so worth the read.
I am not sure my head and heart will cope but I have to read book 2!!

Let me begin with the note that I love Bry Ann more and more with each book!
This book is so well written.
At some point the twists was sooo much, that I wanted to throw my device at wall, but alas... she, as alwyas, surprised me and I am happiest human being reading it.
This book has it all, friendship, love, lust, loyalty, misanderstanding, dissapointment, regret. It's the epitome of mixed emotions, good and bad. It's the collision of two different worlds, where trust and doubt should work hand in hand in order to heal our heroes.
I loved fierce, insecure yet so strong Sam, who was so doubtful of herself, but whose loyalty and love for her mother was soooo much more! She is the one of a kind heroine.
Logan..... such a delicious, handsome, strong man whose world revolve around his sister than Sam...
This character, which fought till death for their happiness, will let you believe that everything is possible in life.

Sam was a hardened young woman, fighting to save her mom. In her quest to save her, she lost herself. A chance encounter with a celebrity at her job changes everything. I love Sam, especially when her curmudgeonly nature only seems to endear her to others despite her wishes.

This story is full of emotion. I laughed, scoffed, groaned, shuddered, cried, cheered and got angry many times at these characters. The story had some great plot twists. I really love how Bry Ann makes her characters as realistic as possible. I enjoyed this story, even when I was mad at Sam and her antics.

All in all this story will draw you in and keep you guessing until the end. And you'll enjoy each moment.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Wow, I have no words. What an amazing, heavy, heartfelt read this was. Sam Is so strong with everything she has went thru in her life. She made a very unlikely friend in Logan, who both seem so different but very similar after knowing their stories. Logan for being so famous, is so down to earth and exactly what Sam needs in her life. Sometimes family isn't blood, and this read shows you can make your own family when you need. I can not wait for the next read!
