Isolated in her cruel step-father's cabin on the frontier, Hannah has been caring for her orphaned younger siblings since their mother died. Now that she's eighteen, her step-father plans to marry her off to an old prospector and get rid of the children once and for all.
With a blizzard blanketing the Dakota Territory and little more than hope, Hannah escapes with her siblings to try to find a safer life. But can a Christmas miracle save them from being lost forever?
This is a Sweet Town novella, set between the events of the full-length novels.
Historical romance comes alive in quiet Sweet Town. Established in the Dakota Gold Rush of the 1870s, Sweet Town is surrounded by gentle hills and fields of clover. It's a place where anyone can start over and romance and redemption are never out of reach.

Silver Bells, book 8 in Sarah Christian's Sweet Town Series, takes place during the Christmas holiday season.
Having lost their mother to the fever six months prior, Hannah decides to bundle her brother Issac and step sister Miriam up late one night and make their way through the snowy landscape into Sweet Town hoping to avoid being sold and forced to marry a much older man by her step father.
Judging by what was written on the too few pages the author had all the makings for a really great book but instead delivered a story that presented the barest of emotions to its readers. Reminded me of the sort of short story one would find in a magazine.
I enjoyed this short Christmas story . I received this book for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 5* rating. This did not start out as a happy Christmas story but as a very broken family type story. I would have liked it to be a little longer but it had a nice ending.
