*Disclaimer: I got this book as a digital ARC, but this hasn’t influenced my review in any way.*

The first thing that got me into reading this book was my curiosity about how to extract essential oils from flowers and plants.
The last thing that I expected was that I would have really liked all the book.

One of the main reasons that made me like this book is the incredible amount of details about every single step of tabletop distilling. The author explains not only the process but also gives feedback about every thing he has tried to distill.
For example he explains that it’s really impossible to extract a decent amount of essential oil from rose petals with a tabletop equipment.

I’ve liked that he explains every piece of equipment and its pros. There are even prices. It’s great for every person who wants to start distilling at home.
He also warns the reader that not every country has the same laws about distilling at home and that before even starting it’s important to be aware of what is acceptable according to the laws of our country.

There are a lot of pictures of all the distillers which really helps a beginner choose the equipment that suits him/her best.

After finishing reading this book I would like to try extract some essential oils, for example lavender one. I love the idea of natural oils that I can add to my homemade candles and soap bars.

So I give this book 4 out of 5, because if you’re interested in distilling at home, this is the book you have to buy to gather further informations.
