Tudor is giving a very skewed view on narcissistic personality that is ultimately not helping both the narcissists and the victims of their abuse. It has some useful practicalities, I'll give it that, but the reasons behind narcissist's behavior that Tudor claims imply that it is all fully intentional and aware. If you read up on other self-aware people with NPD you see time and time again that the abuse is actually unintentional. They believe in their skewed version of reality and actually believe they are in the right, completely lost and confused in their inner hell. I'm sure there are exceptions, like Tudor himself, but I figure a more accurate diagnosis would be sociopathy or psychopathy, comorbid with NPD. What I found in my extensive reading on NPD is that intentionality and full awareness of the abuse is not typical at all for people with mere NPD. Portraying it like it is all intentional feeds a very unhealthy polarity and demonisation, while what would ultimately truly help both the narcissists and codependents is genuine true understanding and compassion for the narcissist's hell of a psychology. Which obviously does NOT mean condoning the abuse!! To make healing possible it is essential that we love ourselves too!

* I would strongly prefer not to review this book , but will attempt to do so anyway. Good or bad review , narcissism in the author is fueled . Good or bad review , the narcissistic author could care less . *

Written by H.G. Tudor , (a narcissist ) from a narcissist's point of view . That in itself is interesting as I would think narcissists would be the last to want to show their hands . He has authored many books on the subject , which I am sure is more beneficial to him and his ego than it is to the readers ...those that have read this will understand that statement ! The book is very enlightening and scary at the same time . I literally had goose-bumps through an entire chapter ! For those dealing with one or more of " them " , this book is a good place to start .

Tudor may have written this book (and others) simply to satisfy his narcissistic ego, but the bottomline is that he's doing a public service, giving a sneak preview into the narcissist's mind and tricks, so you will learn at least some useful things and understand much better of behavior you observed in the past and couldn't make any sense. Even if some parts read a bit repetitive, it makes sense for Tudor to nail these into your head.

From victim to vanqueur

A brilliant book & essential reading for all victims of narcissists. By the end of the book l was laughing at some of the tricks narcissists use to ensnare their unwary victims. Knowing what they are like has moved me from victim to vanqueur.

It‘s really important to educate yourself on narcissistic personality disorder.
I‘ve met enough of them in my life and since I have gained much knowledge it is easier to handle them.
HG Tudor fascinates and repels me at the same time.
