Best-selling author and multiple award-winner Phil M. Jones is highly regarded as one of the world's leading sales trainers. He has trained more than two million people across five continents and fifty-six countries and coached some of the biggest global brands in the lost art of spoken communication. In 2013 he won the British Excellence in Sales and Marketing Award for Sales Trainer of the Year, the youngest-ever recipient of that honor. He has also written a series of best-selling books and developed a number of online training courses that have enrolled tens of thousands of members around the world. Phil divides his time between London and New York.
This is the second title I've read from Phil Jones and I think he is great. His books are very short but very dense. He doesn't waste any time.
He jams his books with practical advice and techniques you can put into action immediately. I sincerely wish more authors were like him. Instead of delivering a bunch of concepts he gives you a bit of context and then the exact script he wants you to use. You can immediately use this stuff. I wish people told you exactly how to do things more often and Phil Jones really does tell you exactly how to do the things he writes about. I really appreciate it.
If you are a sales professional then this book will help, undoubtedly. If you're not in a sales profession this book will help you have better more productive conversations. It could be read by anyone but would be of the most benefit to someone in sales.
Last year I started my year with a Phil Jones book and I did the same this year and I think I will continue to read or reread his works for years to come because I really do like them.
I really enjoyed Phil Jones' first book, "Exactly What to Say," so I decided to read this next one too. I didn't regret it! "Exactly How to Sell" is a great, concise intro to all aspects of the sales process. It focuses on building relationships with your customers and prospects.
I've been building my coaching business since the start of this year. I want to create a sustainable financial foundation for all the online work I do for younger audiences who can't give back. This book has been super helpful. It taught me how to get clients, sell my courses, and build relationships with my current, past, or future clients.
Jones' no-nonsense approach is always clear, practical, and memorable. He gives actionable strategies that are easy to implement. This makes the book valuable for non-sales professionals. His method is straightforward and effective. It helps you get the most out of the sales process in an entertaining and readable way.
I also appreciated how Jones breaks down stereotypes about selling. He makes it accessible and less intimidating for those who don't see themselves as salespeople. His straightforward method helps extract maximum value from the sales process in an entertaining and highly readable way.
I'd recommend it to any content creator who wants to better monetize their work but has never learned how to do sales.
Another great book by Phil Jones. I love how all of his books are very short but very powerful. You can gain countless actionable skills and tips from his knowledge. If you read any of his books make sure you have a pen and paper ready to jot down all the useful info. I will be rereading this book soon.
Take notes there are good new ideas and reminders you can implement immediately. The words to eliminate from vocabulary section is good advice for anyone.
There is very little I have learned from this book:
Here are my key points: - Increase the value without reducing the price - Use your blog to position yourself as an expert in your industry - Use intriguing titles that generate curiosity to increase open rates - Say what you do differently from your competitors - Give the buyer enough information to make a decision - Ask for referrals - Send cards to your customers
A perfect blend of classics with some innovative new ways to push yourself to ask more of the right questions, while being proud of the brand/service you represent. Phil’s writing style is easy to follow and will lead you to concise bullet points of what you comes natural to you, where you are satisfactory, and where you need to make big changes to your mind or process. Highly recommend!
I enjoyed this book, especially how it details how to build a community of customers, how to engage them through email, social media and by phone. Good Information. I listened to it on Audible on my daily drive, after finishing the book I bought a paper copy because I wanted to take notes and take the process in more visually.
If you’re browsing its because you aren’t where you want to be, know you can do better or have simply lost your way in all the short cuts. “If you’re like me” ...you’re looking for a quick, concise “how-to” that has some added reminders. Look no further...
I have been attracted to this book as i read Phil other book exactly what to say which was fantastic. in this book i couldn't see the same brief and to the point writing style which fascinated me in the other book, but the author was more of of repeating himself with so much time taken in introductions for the topics. Although the book is overall is good source for sales but yet wasn't as expect compared to the other book.
The book is good for a starter in sales, not for a mature and experienced sales person. It is well structured for a beginner and will definitely help to get a head around sales as a profession.
Imagine if all the business books you ever read were smooshed up into one neat little guide. This is that book. There was nothing earth shattering in this book. Nothing new or mind blowing. However, it was a nice, easy to read review. Bullet points, numbered lists and short chapters with lots of headings made this an easy review. And its miniature format made it literally feel like it was a business Reader’s Digest.
