We had to use this book for my Intro to Speech class. I wouldn't normally add this to my goodreads, but considering the reason I didn't read as many books this year is because I had to read textbooks, I'm going to county it towards my goodreads goal lol.

The textbook was very easy to read, which is nice, especially with a heavy course load and/or working full-time while going to school (like myself). It's straight foward, informative, and doesn't bog itself down by repeating itself.

If this is the required textbook for whatever speech class you need to take, I would definitely count that as a point in its favor.

It was alright. There cited are an abundance of academic studies but few attempts to build a sound structure from the bottom up.
