But is this Wyoming Cowboy ready to face his past?
Amy Deerson wanted to mentor a child. Her plan did not include former bull rider Nash Bolton—the little girl’s brother and guardian. It’s been a decade since Nash left town without a word, breaking Amy’s young heart. Now they must put their painful past aside to help fragile, traumatized Ruby. If only getting over their first love were that simple.

This is a Christian Cowboy Romance, and this is the 2nd book in the Wyoming Cowboys series. I really enjoy this 2nd chance romance. When Nash takes on raising his baby sister, and that will bring him back to his old love Amy. I really loved reading about Amy and Nash learning to loving each other. This is a short and quick cute read. If you love second chance clean romances then this one maybe for you.
"He'd put the night out of his mind for almost twenty years. Refused to remember in case it broke him. Would it break him tonight?"
Jill Kemerer gives us book two in her Wyoming Cowboy series with Nash Bolton and Amy Deerson's story. Amy and Nash were an item ten years ago and she was sure he was about to propose. Then Nash just up and left town without a word. Not one word in ten years to explain his actions.
Amy has studied a long time to fulfill a desire of her heart: to mentor a child who needs a positive influence in their life. When she meets the child she's been asked to mentor, she discovers the little girl is Nash's little sister, Ruby. No! It can't be! Ruby has had a horrible past in her short 4 years and she is fragile and quite traumatized. Can Amy and Nash put aside their feelings now to help a little girl move past her hurt?
Jill Kemerer has done a wonderful job on this story. The plot is so very good and I fell in love with little Ruby and was in tears several times reading about the hurts this little girl has endured in her short life. Recommended.
*My thanks to the author and publisher for a copy of this book. The opinions stated here are entirely my own.
God loves you so much. There's nothing you can do that would make Him leave you.~ page 126
Amy Deerson's greatest desire has always been to mentor a child. When the opportunity to do just that comes up with an old flames younger sister, will she sacrifice her dream or will she put aside her hurt to help the little girl? Nash Bolton had kept a secret from Amy years ago to protect her in the only way he knew how, by leaving. Will he take the chance to explain his past and open old wounds for his sister's sake? Or will the hurt drive them even further apart?
This one has all the emotional depth I've come to expect from Jill Kemerer! Right from the get-go you know you're in for more than just an entertaining story; you're in it for the long haul. Your heart can't help but get attached to little Ruby who's been through more hurt than a four-year-old should ever go through in a lifetime. You'll want to hug those hurts away! Nash wants the best that he can give her and show her a love she's never known. And he's determined that if the answers to his prayers are in Amy's hands, he'll do what it takes to make it happen! There's a lot of things for each character to work through and a past to deal with. With God's help, they are determined to make a little girls life richer & fuller all while learning to be gracious and understanding. Loved seeing how faith played a major role in Nash and Amy lives and how it shaped them throughout the book. Forgiveness is the main theme in this heartwarming story and remembering that even if someone leaves you, God will always be by your side...even when you make mistakes!

My favorite of Jill's so far... I've been reading Jill's books since the beginning, and this story just caught me. I love the little girl--she was a sweetheart. I love the theme of redemption. I love the characters. They were flawed and real and hopeful despite the past looming over them. Definitely five stars and two thumbs up to this happily-ever-after family. (I received an early copy of this book from the author.)
Kemerer's newest book in the Wyoming Cowboys series is like riding that bull for the full 8 seconds! It twisted and bucked my emotions in all the right places and gave me all the feels. These characters are three-dimensional and oh so relatable. Their struggles had me in knots. I cheered for their dreams and hopes. I cried for the pain. And goodness that sweet little girl stole my heart. I love that Love Inspired romances end in a HEA, and this one was magical! I can't wait to read what Kemerer dreams up next.
When they were young Amy and Nash had something up until he split without a word. Now he's back with a child in tow and Amy seems like the mentor who can many help out this child. But its hard not to fall for eachother after what they have been through and they have to make sure to set things aside for the sake of the child.
I thought that this was a pretty good heart warming story. It was interesting getting to know of their relationship in the past, why things happen the way they did seeing them opening up to each other and how they were able to handle it now. I thought it was interesting getting to know the child and seeing Amy try her best to get the child to be okay around others seeing that child change slowly. I enjoyed how everything played out there was just enough drama to keep things interesting. Overall this was a pretty enjoyable book I really liked it.
A beautifully written, gripping novel from a superbly talented author! I love strong, inspirational messages from God, along with strong cowboys and perfectly chilled heroines. This book has those and more! Definitely worthy of a 4 Star shout out and high recommendations!
TBH, this one took a while for me to get into. I think Ruby's trauma on top of Nash's memories of his own traumatic past were a bit much for me. But once I got into it, I did enjoy the story. I really appreciated that Amy and Nash both wanted to minister to Ruby and remind her about Jesus' love . . . that she didn't need to worry that He would stop loving her if she made a mistake, and how she was able to remind Nash especially that that same principle applied to adults. I do feel like the romance part was a *wee* bit rushed, and that Nash (and Amy as well!) could have used some counselling before restarting their relationship.
Amy and Nash have a past together. They meet up unexpectedly when Amy decides to mentor a young girl. Will Amy and Nash forgive each other. Work through their differences to learn how to trust each other. So they both can help Ruby. So they can possibly have a future together
Reunited with the Bull Rider is part of the Wyoming Cowboys series. Numerous heart-wrenching scenes mix with heart-tugging moments to combine and create an emotional tale that will pull readers in. It is easy to feel drawn to Ruby and root for a happy ending for her, as well as for Amy and Nash.
Amy Deerson has wanted to mentor a child for some time, and it looks like it will finally happen. Unfortunately, it means she will have to spend time with her former love, ex-bull rider Nash Bolton, the man who broke her heart ten years ago. She had no idea he was back in town, let alone that he had guardianship of his young, traumatized sister, Ruby. Amy agrees to work with Ruby, for the child’s sake. Nash knew his return to town wouldn’t be welcomed, but he thought it would be best for Ruby. Will he be able to work with Amy to bring his sister out of her shell? How will Amy respond when she learns the true reason behind Nash’s departure all those years ago? (LOVE INSPIRED, Jun., 288 pp., $6.99)
Reunited with the Bull Rider is a Love Inspired Romance by Jill Kemerer. Jill did an excellent job writing this story. If you love, romance, cowboys, faith than this is the book for you. I loved reading Amy's and Nash's story. I received a complementary copy of this book. This review is my honest opinion. 4.5 stars!

This book is about second chances and forgiveness and healing. Everyone in this book needed some form of healing . Everyone in this story also needed to be reminded of God's love for them. This is a sweet clean love story . This story was very interesting and kept my attention the whole time. I really enjoyed it and I liked the Christian theme . Very emotional story.
“Even if you’re all alone, God’s still there. He loves you. And you don’t have to be perfect.” pg. 127
In the second book of the Wyoming Cowboy series, Amy Deerson and Nash Bolton come into contact after not seeing each other in ten years. Nash suddenly left town without saying goodbye and left Amy with a broken heart. Amy wanted to mentor a child, but didn’t expect the child to be Nash’s young sister, Ruby. Will they be able to move past the pain that happened years ago in order to give Ruby the loving attention that she needs?
Jill Kemerer lassoed me into this story from the first page. She shows us that even when life throws us a curveball we must still keep our faith to press on. She used faith and forgiveness to show us that when we look to God for guidance he’ll see us through any situation. He’ll wrap his loving arms around us and shine his love on us to let us know that it will be okay.
Once again, Jill has written a story that is real and poignant. I really felt for Ruby and didn’t want to see her hurting. Her past has given her trust issues, so it takes time for her to warm up to new people. She was my favorite character. I really wanted to jump inside the book so I could give her a hug. I really loved the storyline and all the characters that made their home in Sweet Dreams, Wyoming. I recommend it.
I received an advanced copy from the author. I was under no obligation to leave a positive review. All opinions stated here are my own.
Amy Deerson loved Nash Bolton with every fiber of her teenage heart. Every dream she had centered around marrying him, until the day he walked out and didn't return. Thinking he must have died or something terrible had happened, she was shattered when she saw a news article stating that he'd won a bull riding competition miles away. Devastated, she tucked her heart away and made a life for herself in her hometown of Sweet Dreams, Wyoming.
Nash Bolton recently became the legal guardian for his little sister, Ruby. First-hand knowledge of the trauma the four-year-old has experienced does not make it easier to deal with her terror of other people. He needs help and he needs it yesterday. Since he already owns property in Sweet Dreams - purchased back when he thought he had a chance with Amy - he decides to move back to town, hoping to give Ruby the safety and community he fell in love with as a young foster child. Hearing about a mentoring program sponsored by the local church, he learns that there is a volunteer who is eager to work with a young child. Finding out that the volunteer is Amy, however, complicates things.
Can Amy set aside her resentment of Nash's leaving in order to help Ruby overcome her fears? Can working with Ruby also help her understand Nash?
This story will grab readers by the heart and squeeze every drop of compassion from them. Knowing that there are children out there enduring the kinds of things that both Ruby and Nash did in this story, is beyond heartbreaking. Jill Kemerer's stories just keep getting better and this one is excellent!
Reunited with the Bull Rider has endearing characters and an emotional storyline which I absolutely loved and made this book a pleasure to read.
There was just enough friction between Amy and Nash to add realism to their story without either one of them to showing bitterness towards each other and I appreciated that given their past history. I liked that they were mature enough to try to put the past behind them to do what was best for Ruby. Speaking of Ruby, I adored her and her well-being became just as important to me as it was to Amy and Nash.
Overall. this is a well written book with selfless, caring and forgiving characters and one I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great read. Although this is the second book in the Wyoming Cowboy series, it can be read as a stand alone.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and was under no obligation to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.
Reunited With The Bull Rider by Jill Kemerer. Amy Deerson owns a quilt shop and wants to mentor a troubled child. All the mentors were busy. Amy was asked to mentor a troubled four year old girl. She met the girl and decided she wanted to mentor the girl. But when she met the person in charge of the girl she wasn't sure if she could mentor. Former Bull Rider Nash Bolton is the big brother to the four year old girl. His father remarried a few years ago and had the four year old child when he died and the mother was a drunk and didn't take care of the girl. Nash and Amy were dating ten years ago and Nash just up and left town to go bull riding. Amy tries not to fall for Nash again. The little girl needs Amy's help to cope with stuff. Amy and the little girl get close. Romance does happen between Nash and Amy. The little girl comes out of her shell. To become a very happy little girl. A very good read.
Can 2 people hurt by the past find family together?
What an incredibly sweet story of love, sacrifice, and second chances. I'm relatively new to Jill Kemerer's books, this is my second I think, but I am hooked on her trademark sweet romance tempered by flawed characters with difficult pasts. And I'm especially hooked on her Wyoming Cowboys series, of which Reunited With The Bull Rider is book 2.
When you read this book you will by turns love and want to shake a little sense into Amy and Nash, but it's little Ruby who will steal your heart. She makes you want to reach through the pages and just hug her.
Reunited With The Bull Rider is a wonderful addition to the series, and to Love Inspired's lineup. If you enjoy stories that will tug at your heartstrings check out this latest from Jill Kemerer.

Sweet Dreams, Wyoming is home to quilt shop owner and fabric designer Amy Deerson.
Retired bull rider Nash Bolton returns to his hometown with his four year old sister Ruby whom he cares for as a father.
Amy and Nash share a past of heartache and heartbreak after Nash left many years ago.
Sweet Ruby was my favorite character. The author did an exceptional job of bringing to life a little girl who suffered abuse and deals with many trust issues. Ruby will just tug at your heart strings!
I loved the faith message that was beautifully woven throughout the book about forgiveness, trusting God, and answered prayer.
Enjoyable hometown characters and a sweet romance with lots of bumps along the way make this a wonderful book not to miss!
I received a copy from the author. All opinions are my own.
Reunited with the Bull Rider is book two in author Jill Kemerer’s Wyoming Cowboys series. Although part of a series, Reunited with the Bull Rider can easily be read as a stand alone novel.
This book really tugs on the heartstrings and that tug comes in the form of a four year old little girl, Ruby, who has been traumatized by her painful past. It is up to her much older brother and now guardian, Nash, and Amy, a woman from Nash’s past to help Ruby heal from her painful wounds. This is a story filled with misunderstandings and heartaches, but yet carries the promise of forgiveness and love.
If you love stories that draw you in and make you feel every emotion in the book, then Reunited with the Bull Reader is a must read!
I received a copy of the book from the author, but was under no obligation to write a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I really wanted to not like Nash for poor Amy's sake. He left her ten years prior without so much as a goodbye. He broke her heart and ruined her plans for a husband and a family and now he is back. Nash and Amy agree to tolerate each others' presence for the sake of Nash's little sister, Ruby. Ruby had been deeply scarred emotionally by her mother by her (and Nash's) mother. Amy is trying her best to mentor her so she can learn to trust again, as well as have a feminine influence in her life. My heart simply ached for Ruby! No one deserves to be treated like she was, especially such a young child. Will Nash and Amy come to terms with what happened a decade ago between them? Will Ruby be able to come out of her shell of survival and be the young girl that she should be able to be? Pick up this book and read it! You definitely won't be disappointed in this clean Christian romance.
When Amy Deerson shows up at her church to meet the young child she's been asked to mentor, she has no idea she's about to come face-to-face with Nash Bolton, the man who broke her heart! But this story is so much more than just two young people trying to cope with the present, without letting the past destroy what they're working together to accomplish. Nash's young sister desperately needs Amy's help -- and friendship -- if she's to get beyond her own scary past.
Jill Kemerer did an awesome job bringing these three people together... and helping them to seek God's help in working together. Great characters. Great story. This is one of my favorite books now -- one I will read again and again.
Warning... you might just need a tissue to get through this heart-warming story!
Amy Deerson pulled herself together after the guy she thought she'd spend her life with up and disappeared. She's made a good life for herself in her hometown with her quilt shop and her dreams of designing quilt fabric. She wants to fill the void of no children by mentoring a child through a program at her church. The minister calls with an opportunity to mentor a young girl but when she goes to meet the girl, her former love (the one who up and disappeared) Nash turns out to be the girl's brother and guardian. She wants so badly to say no but the little girls' brokenness speaks to her and she agrees to a trial period. This is a great story of forgiveness and understanding and trust. You will not be disappointed.
I did receive a copy of this book from the author.
This story of forgiveness and redemption is a delight. Nash and Amy thought they’d spend the rest of their lives together. Nash disappeared without a word. Amy has spent years dealing with the hurt until the Hurt arrives back in town with a traumatized little girl, Ruby, who Amy has been asked to mentor. If she mentors Ruby, Nash will also be in the picture. Can Amy put her feelings for Nash aside to help Ruby?
Author Jill Kemerer brings the well-developed characters to life through the real-life struggles and emotions all the characters encounter. Well done! Readers, do yourself a favor and purchase yourself a copy!
I was given an advanced copy of this book from the author. All honest comments and opinions are mine.
So I was tempted to not admit to reading this, but I decided to not be a coward/snob, plus hey—it’s one more book toward my reading challenge and it helps counter balance those super long history books! I read a LOT of genres, and it’s not like this is a bodice ripper or something. I picked it up for a quarter at the library book sale and it was harmless and I was in the mood for a bubble gum read. It was mildly entertaining. It was definitely one of those plots based mainly on poor communication, but I could skim the slowest parts, and the author didn’t take it to the ridiculous point where you’re convinced the characters are hopeless. I’ve read worse! And I’ve also read much better, but I knew that before I started.
Amy's determination has helped her become a thriving businesswoman in charming Sweet Dreams, Wyoming despite the unexpected detour of her dreams. She has pulled herself up by the bootstraps and moved on (or so she tells herself).
Nash is such a sweet underdog hero. He's willing to move heaven and earth to protect a couple of special gals no matter how much it costs his big 'ol broken heart. Nash's closest friends and stand-in mother figure form an endearing rag-tag family.
I love the unique plot and the intimate small-town atmosphere!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and was under no obligation to post a review. The opinions expressed are my own.
What a wonderful story! I like tension and this story had it. As I read, it was like peeling the layers of an onion. The further you got the more you began to understand where the character of Nash was coming from. Its a quick story (to me) so some things get sped up but it did not annoy me like some other stories do when it becomes unrealistic. This will definitely be one to read when it releases June 1st. Jill has been consistently good and I expect it will continue to be that way in her future releases.
*I did receive an advance copy but those who know me know it doesn't affect my reviews. I'm honest and sometimes brutally (although I usually choose to just not publish those ones).
Jill Kemerer pens a thoughtful and sweet story in Reunited with the Bull Rider. At first read, there seems to be little that could keep Nash and Amy apart for so long. Once reunited, even the characters have to remind themselves why they shouldn’t immediately rekindle their relationship. But the hurt they’ve experienced is deeper than either one realizes.
Ruby is a great catalyst to bring them together, adorable, but raising the stakes. Ruby NEEDS stability, which made me root for a happily ever after even more.
Ms. Kemerer delivers a quick and meaningful story that pairs perfectly with a pitcher of sweet tea and a day on a front porch swing.
