Eeep Alert! This is a suspense that generates unnatural bibliophile shrieks of reader joy so apologies for any shattered eardrums. Super enthralling and edgy and kind of hair-raising, but not in the usual sense. It's more a subtle, mess-with-your-mind kind of creepy. Paired with blatant murder attempts and...well, let's just say I read it all in one sitting.

And I guess I wouldn't be doing my due diligence if I didn't issue a Swoon Alert as well. Roman DeHart is all that is sublime in a romantic suspense hero. Driven by a tragedy in his past, he's created Shield Protection where security specialists like himself do everything in their power to protect desperate clients who require their unique services. People like Ella. (insert a second chance love story mini squeal here.)

Roman is an appealing contrast of tough and caring. His relentless pursuit of the truth, his desire to believe Ella when no one else will, the deeply buried longing that breaks through the surface at the most inopportune times...Phew! The stuff curled toes are made of. BUT what really captured my heart is that he is a man of faith. There's this one scene...so unexpected and endearing and spiritually powerful...well, I fell head-over-heels.

Dying to Remember (clever title tie-in, by the way) isn't marked as a series, but I think it might just be the first book in one. Parker has introduced her readers to some intriguing security specialists and I simply have to know their stories so there better be more books!!!!

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Dying to Remember. This book is well written, action packed, and faith filled. I really enjoy Sara's work. I look forward to her next book. I know you are going to love this one.

Ella Camden is confused, paranoid, and having trouble remembering things. Everyone believes she tried to commit suicide. She doesn't remember but she is sure she didn't hurt her self. In desperation she contacts the only man she ever loved. Will he believe her? Amnesia keeps her from knowing who might be after her. Is she a target or is she suicidal?

Security Expert Roman DeHart never stopped loving Emma. She left town and he went on to build his own empire with Shield Security. He is shocked to see Ella. He will do everything he can to keep her safe even from herself. He lost her once and he is not going to lose her again.

A long and trying journey as two souls meant to be together try to find out what is happening to her and who's behind it. They must prove that she is a target and not the one who is trying to kill her. God has a plan for these two, a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too; a good plan and not for evil. Give Him your heart and watch Him straiten out your mess. God is so good.

This is the second "love-inspired suspense" novel I've read by Harlequin, and it felt like the first book I read (main female character has a past with the male lead character, they're in danger, both characters have feelings toward each other but won't tell the other, then there is buildup to the climax of the suspense part of the novel which is over very quickly, and even more quickly the couple end up together).
I was curious what these books were like, but I guess they're just not for me.

This was a pretty exciting story with some unusual elements like the murder attempts on Ella's life being made to look like suicide attempts. There was a lot of twists and turns and the story was interesting. I really liked the characters and would enjoy stories about Roman's co-workers in the future. Good book!

This is a very moving book. I had a cancer scare at 12 years of age, and I know that feeling. Thank God it was resolved. Sometimes things are not what they seem to be, and you realize just how good God is and to keep in trusting Him no matter what. God is so good, he really is!

Lots of suspense.

This book has lots of suspense and action. The mystery was nicely done although I was pretty sure early on who the main culprit was. The second chance romance was a nice touch.

I received this book last week in my latest collection of books to read. I loved the story. For there are times things happen that don't make any sense. Ella Camden turns to her ex who is into security Roman DeHart. This is a neat story with lots of twists and turns as Ella trys to make sense of what is going on in her life. What makes this interesting is Ella and Roman's history. It adds to the story. I really enjoyed this story. It also talks about forgiveness and loss of a sister. I love the way Sara writes this story for she makes you think as she weaves her story. Its interesting how the plot changes as each new twist is revealed. Its a great story and worth a read.

Tons of action and suspense packed into one interesting story. Ella Camden can’t remember much before she was shot and no one seems to believe her that she is not suicidal. So she decides to seek her past love for help in hopes he can help her from the mess of confusion and danger that she can’t explain.

Roman DeHart is the head of Shield a private and highly successful security firm is brought up short by the sudden appearance of his ex girlfriend Ella. Can he figure out if she’s in danger from herself or is her enemy real? And can he do it before it’s to late?

Intriguing plot. She’s desperate enough to ask her ex for help when she believes she’s being targeted by a killer. Everyone thinks she’s suicidal and mentally unbalanced after a near miss with a gun shot head wound. She was found with a suicide note, gun powder residue on her hand, and a faulty memory from the head trauma making her case as suicidal very convincing.

Her mother is also in a coma, a colleague recently killed, and she works for a foundation that helps women and children. What do all these things have in common?

It’s a good thing her ex works at a security firm. She’s going to need protection.

Suspense, mystery, and a lesson on faith… A quick easy read.

Good

A mystery and a love story with well defined characters. Very good novel about a woman who comes home to help her sick mother. She suffers memory loss and has two incidents happen that cause the police to believe she is suicidal. Not until the end do you find out what has been happening to her.

Good read. Interesting plot. Good characters. Faith woven nicely into the story.
- Ella: helping her mom’s non-profit after her moms friend’s unexpected death and her mom’s near-fatal car accident;
- Roman: former boyfriend who rubs a security agency
