From medical secretary to court reporter to property manager to owner of a special events decorating company, my resume reads as if I don’t know what I want to be when I grow up. But one thing that has remained constant through the years is my love for writing. I currently pen fun and fast-paced inspirational romance and romantic suspense stories. My books have won several awards and been nominated for two RITA® awards and an RT Reviewers’ Choice Best Book Award.

After spending most of my life in Florida, a few years ago, I moved to the mountains of North Carolina, where I write my stories outside on the back deck in the summertime and inside in front of the fireplace in the wintertime. When I’m not writing or doing writerly things, I enjoy hiking, camping, kayaking—almost anything outdoors. My two grown daughters and grandkids live too far away for my liking, so I now pour all that nurturing into taking care of two sassy black cats.

Fatal Recall started of with a bang!...literally. ;) The book opens with the MC hearing gunfire, which he first brushes off as someone hunting - until he hears a woman's scream. That beginning scene grabbed my attention and the suspense was solid throughout the story. I was never bored and finished the book in one day.

I liked the characters. It was intriguing that the heroine had amnesia and they didn't know her name or anything about her. I love a good amnesia story and think that this one was done well.

A favorite quote: "How many other blessings would he find if he really looked? Instead of abandoning him, had God really been with him the entire time?"
-Fatal Recall

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed Fatal Recall. If you like romantic suspense novels, be sure to check it out. It was a good read.

*I received a complimentary eBook copy of this book from the author for my honest review. I was not required to write a positive review, only my honest opinion-which I've done. As always, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

I really enjoyed this inspirational romantic suspense novel from Carol J. Post. It had a nice balance of danger, mystery, romance and spirituality. The characters were realistic and genuine.

Tanner Brody is a cop between job and decides to take a kayaking trip. Suddenly there are gunshots and a woman screaming. He finds an injured young woman in the woods and realizes that someone seems to be stalking her. Together they escape from the wood and Tanner gets her medical attention. The problem is --she has no memory of the events put her in peril. Eventually we learn that her name is Paige and she has had quite a troubled past, but she also has a deep faith in God. Someone, or maybe a couple of someones, are trying to kill Paige. She and Tanner go through a lot as she regains her memory and they figure out what is going on.

I am not a great fan of amnesia stories, usually because they are ridiculously dramatic and unrealistic. In this book, however, the amnesia seemed to ring true. The main feeling I had about the book is that it felt very genuine. I believed that Tanner and Paige were on their way to a great relationship. They were truly good people that had rough lives and they deserved each other. Good book.

Better breathe deep and fill your lungs now
because once you start , you be holding your breathe
until thevery last word............
Tanner Brody is kayaking on the Nantahala River in the
Nantahala National Forest near Murphy, North Carolina.
He is on vacation before he starts a new job in Murphy
as a police law enforcement officer.
Along with the rushing river water, he hears a gun shot.
Next thing he knows, shots are coming close to him.
Getting off the river, he follows the sound of a woman
screams. He finds an unconscious woman. She has hit
her head but no other injuries. She has no identification.
She has no memory but knows someone is after her. Who
is this woman? Why was she hiking in the Forest? Why
is someone shooting at her?
Then they find a man shot to death? Who is he?
What a thought provoking, complex, uniquely plotted
mystery!!!
The cast consists of cleverly crafted characters, well
defined and interesting characters. Murder, robbery,
danger, a small mysterious box add to this fast paced
adventure.
Intrigue is heightened to mountainous proportions
filled with a lot of tension, suspense plenty of thrill,
chills, twists and turns and drama.
A Highly Recommended Christian Suspense Mystery.
I volunteered to read Fatal Recall. Thanks to the author
for the opportunity. My opinion is my own.

Fatal Recall had a great combination of action, suspense, and romance. I really enjoyed watching and learning along with Paige as she slowly regained her memory, while trying to stay alive!

The attraction between the two main characters felt very realistic to me. I appreciated the respect that grew between these characters and the way that Tanner valued Paige as a person. Both Tanner and Paige had survived a lot in their pasts and it was interesting to see the way they reacted to life and the idea of God loving them.

I am happy to find out that this is the first book in a new series and I definitely look forward to reading the next book when it releases.

Fatal Recall grabbed me from the first sentence at the words: the sharp crack of gunfire split the silence. Tanner Brody is in law enforcement and is between jobs so he is taking a nice kayak ride on the Nantahala River outside of Murphy, North Carolina, where he will start work with the police force soon. The gunshots put him on alert but a shriek prompted him to beach his friend's kayak and see if someone needed help. He found an unconscious woman, thankfully, with no injuries other than her banged up head and is frightened because someone is after her. Unfortunately, she also has no memory. She doesn't know who is and has no form of identification on her. Tanner decided to help the woman get to safety and maybe find out who she is and what is going on. As they start back out on the river in the kayak, the shooter fires shots at them again and this time hits the kayak. Thus, starts a crazy run for their lives. As Tanner and his friend Colton try to help the woman, someone seems to be able to track their every move and no where seems safe.
This was a hard book to put down as the action is fast paced and interesting as they follow the different clues to identify the woman. They are able to find her name because she is in the system and has a criminal record but, is she guilty of a crime that they stumble upon? She can't remember anything but bits and pieces as they appear but the memories don't exonerate her. So they have to follow the clues to figure out what is going on. It is quite an interesting journey and is like peeling the layers away on an onion-one at a time.
I can't imagine having no memory of who I am and having no one around who can identify me. I am sure it is quite scary for her but she does realize pretty soon that she is a person of faith and that is a huge help. This is a Christian suspense that has everything that makes for a great read: action, danger, mystery, faith and romance. I have taken classes at a folk school near Murphy and it is a lovely area that I was able to envision. I highly recommend this suspenseful story.
Thanks to Carol J Post for giving me the opportunity to read and review this first story in the series. I am looking forward to reading the next one. The opinions stated are my own.

I've read books with this basic premise before--woman wakes up with amnesia with unknown assassins after her--but certain elements of this one made it feel quite unique. Specifically the hints that Paige's past had been less than lily-white and the uncertainty about what part she might have played in bringing on the trouble that was after her. That said, I loved eventually learning the truth about her past and seeing how her life had changed.

As opposed to some suspense books I've read, we barely got a chance to breathe! It felt like something was happening at least every day, if not every other minute. Forget a quiet conversation and a good night's sleep before the next step; it was more like half a conversation and then another sniper attack!

I did like Tanner and his protectiveness, although his backstory struck me as a little overly complex at times. I would have had more of an issue with the thought of a relationship between them if Paige hadn't been dealing with amnesia and such a new believer, so she wouldn't necessarily have recognized it as a problem. But I did love the example she was to Tanner, and the way that she instinctively turned to God even when she couldn't remember anything about herself.

I also really liked Tanner's friends and the way they helped out. And I loved some of Paige's once she found them again. Although...not all of them... O.O No spoilers, but a really good story!

Content--mentions of multiple crimes, including murder and attempted murder; mentions of blood, wounds, and dead bodies (not overly graphic); mentions of gang membership and tattoos; mentions of drugs; a few kisses (not descriptive)

It has been a long, long time that I have read a store that had a character with amnesia in it. When that story line is done well, it makes for an interesting premise and asks some tough questions of the characters.

Tanner, who is a police officer, is spending some time in the great outdoors before starting his new job, when gunshots interrupt a peaceful outdoors. Luckily for Paige, Tanner finds her and has enough smarts to get them out of the immediate danger. And so the story continues with death following behind them.

I really liked this story and the characters. I liked the amnesia part and learned along with Paige who she was and who she is. Tanner was a guy that stepped into the thick of things to protect her. The bond that grows between them is realistic and very sweet. This was pretty much nonstop action and danger with a romance that grows only stronger as the characters back stories are revealed. This is my favorite book by author Post to date, and possibly my favorite Love Inspired Suspense.

I received a complimentary copy of this novel. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.

This is a good quick read. The story is set in the mountains of North Carolina. I really enjoyed reading this story, being very familiar with the area the book takes place. The characters are both fighting childhood demons and life failures. They meet by chance in woods, with someone shooting at them. The story has several twist and turns. Carol J Post is a new authour to me. I will be looking forward to reading book 2 in her new series. I received this book as an ARC , in exchange for an honest review.

I've read many of Carol's books, and Fatal Recall didn't disappoint. She's a consummate storyteller, and her novels are enriched with roller coaster moments that rise to danger, giving you just enough time to breathe before the next tense moment arrives. In the midst of thrills, Carol creates characters that we care about. In this case, Paige and Tanner, two adults damaged by their past, meet and see the best in the other, but have difficulty believing that the feeling could be reciprocated. Although Paige, the victim, needs rescuing, she rescues Tanner right back because Paige understands her new identity in Christ. Lovely story with a bottom line that's clearly conveyed.

I don't read a lot of the Love Inspired Suspense novels. There are just too many published to keep up with, though I have never been disappointed in any I have read. Carol Post has been kind to offer her last few books to me to review, and at least two of them have been the Love Inspired Suspense. And this one may be her best yet.

Books that involve a person with amnesia have always intrigued me, so the book had me hooked right away with that aspect. And in Fatal Recall, the main character could be victim or perpetrator. It added an extra level of suspense and intrigue to a book that was already full of those elements.

The author came up with some great and very likable characters in Paige and Tanner, and his law enforcement friends also added a lot to the story. The action and suspense were pretty much non-stop, and then one can guess by the name of the label on the book......there is romance. I am still not a guy who reads many books that are just romance.......but if someone is trying to kill someone, I can handle the romance. I am kind of kidding. I enjoyed how that aspect of the book went. Both characters had flaws and had been burnt in the relationship department, but had to learn to trust each other and God to get them through the trying events they faced, and their blossoming feelings for each other.

These books are a fast read, with this one coming in at 218 pages. Post packed a lot into those 218 pages and wrote a great suspense novel that does not shy away from themes of faith and Christianity. Great read.

The thing I liked most about this story was the way the author used the setting to enhance the plot! She used the woods, the rushing river, the city, the urban areas and the prison, along with other areas to take the reader into the story and feel like you were right alongside with the characters. Very few stories have had that effect on me! I really feel like I've been to Murphy, North Carolina now AND Atlanta, Georgia because of this book! The author really brought it to life, along with the heart-pounding danger of the story. Tanner is just kayaking on the river one day, minding his own business as he gets ready to start his law enforcement job in a couple weeks when he hears gun shots in the woods! He doesn't think too much of it until he hears a woman moaning so he gets out and goes to investigate. He finds a woman injured and she can't remember who she is or what her name is but she is definitely being pursued by people intent on killing her! So begins the story and it doesn't slow down from there! The woman has complete amnesia and Tanner must figure out how to help her. I got very caught up in this story and loved finding out how all the pieces fell into place. I hope you'll enjoy reading it too!

Fatal Recall by Carol J. Post is a book you will need to fasten your seatbelt for. The breakneck action begins in the first chapter with the sharp crack of gunfire splitting the silence and doesn't quit until the end with the kick-splitting of a doorjamb and more gunfire. Tucked in between are a myriad of other edge-of-the-seat, breath-holding scenes. Paige has lost her memory and is in mortal danger with no clue as to why or who. Tanner is between police jobs and after finding her wounded in the woods feels compelled to keep her safe. Will she remember her life in time and can he really keep her safe without the vital knowledge of who she is and what is going on? The author has written a plot that crackles with energy and tells an entertaining and suspenseful story. The characters are intense, realistic, evocative and are driven by their individual pasts. You definitely are rooting for the good guys to catch the bad guys and to catch them in time! Through all the action and drama, a thread of faith in a God who cares is woven into the story, reminding readers that God can be relied on for strength and wisdom in times of stress. I can't wait to read more of this author's books.

This is the first time I have read a Carol Post book and I must say her story captured my interest from page 1! Not knowing who you can trust puts Paige in unusual danger as she struggles to 'recall' her past. Is she a felon, or worse, a murderer? Police officer, Tanner, is enjoying a much needed vacation when he stumbles upon an unconscious Paige. He senses trouble, but his sense of duty keeps him at Paige's side through her amnesia. Is she a criminal, or the best thing that has happened to him? A dead body, a mysterious box, and flying bullets keep you on the edge of your seat in this faith-fill romantic suspense set in the beautiful Nantahala National Forest near Murphy, NC! I was given the opportunity to read this book through an author newsletter.

And just when you think you've read every likely amnesia story an author comes along and surprises you with a new twist. This heart-stopping, breath-snatching suspense kept me committed to seeing Paige and Tanner through to their happily-ever-after.

The sinister opening line piqued my curiosity -- "The sharp crack of gunfire split the silence." and I kept collecting questions with every page turn. Post takes her time when it comes to revelations -- especially about Paige and her history. It about drove me crazy waiting to piece all the bits of the puzzle together and when I did I was blown away. What impeccable mystery building talent this author has! And the romance thread is just as strong. The perfect edge-of-your-seater for the armchair sleuth who enjoys plenty of action and a lots of suspense. Not to mention toe-curling romance. Fatal Recall has it all -- including a very appropriate (and immensely clever) title.

Fatal Recall, book 1 in Carol J Post's new series set in Murphy, NC starts off with a bang. Or should I say a bang and a bump on the head.

Paige Tatem loves nature but learns hiking the Appalachian Trail can be deadly. Tanner Brody finds himself in the right place at the right time as he kayaks the Natahala and hears gunshots. As a police officer, it's a sound that's impossible for him to ignore.

A short trek up the bank of the river has him stumbling onto Paige laying at the bottom of an incline. With a concussion and amnesia, all Tanner knows is she needs help and he's her only hope.

From a harrowing escape out of the forest amid more gunfire, and a few days in the hospital with Paige's memory still a blank, Tanner isn't willing to abandon her. Learning her name and some unflattering details about her past when the police run her prints, memory or not, she still isn't comfortable being at the mercy of anyone. But everyone is stranger and according to Tanner, a potential threat.

Tanner is the only steady fixture in her upended world and he isn't willing to leave her unprotected with a target on her back. His tenacity and logic win her reluctant acceptance of his help until she regains her memory. He doesn't hold her past against her because he came from a similar background.

But danger is a heavy cloud following them wherever they go. Tanner isn't a praying man but some tether of comfort and peace tugs Paige to a church, letting her know God is a presence in her life. As she struggles to regain her memory, Tanner worries that he's enough to keep her safe.

He admires her resilience and grudgingly, her faith. What he wouldn't give to trust enough to believe they're not alone against this hidden enemy. Paige can't remember her own name, but time with Tanner as her diligent bodyguard tells her there's something rare and special about Tanner Brody. She just prays they can live long enough to discover what that future could be for them, maybe even together.

This story was intense and fast paced, yet fun and uplifting. Ms. Post kept me turning the pages late into the night, wondering if every stranger Paige and Tanner encountered could be the bad guy.

Fabulous story, great characters, who even though their lives were in constant turmoil, were able to find something extra special --each other.

A wonderful start to what will be a terrific series.

*I received an advance copy of this book for an honest review. I would have bought it anyway, because Carol J. Post has a gift for creating nail-biting tension with just the right amount of humor to keep you reading non-stop until the end.

The more that I read suspense novels, the more I develop a keen interest in reading more. Carol J. Post is a wonderful writer who pours all of her effort into writing books with incredible settings and drama and believable characters. Fatal Recall is her most recent novel, and it didn't disappoint me.

Tanner Brody, a police officer, was in transition from his job at one police precinct to another. He decided to use that dead time to have some fun. His kayaking adventure turned into an adventure no one is interested in. Gunshots fired over and over, followed by the sound of a scream. Tanner decided to investigate, and the result of his investigation led him to Paige.

Paige Tatem was unconscious when Tanner found her. When she awoke, she had no memory of who she was or that she was in danger. When shots were aimed their way, Paige had no choice but to go with Tanner to escape certain death.

The next several days were wrought with frustration, fear, and determination to survive. Tanner and Paige forged the situation together, learned a lot about themselves (and each other), and faced the danger head-on.

Bringing the story to an explosive start, Carol drew me in to the story of Fatal Recall quickly. She masterfully crafted the character of Paige and did very well with showing the nuances of amnesia and the unpredictability of recovery.

Tanner and Paige each had a history of a hard upbringing, causing them to each have trust issues and, for Paige, some lack of self-worth. There was a subtle message in the story about God's love and the ability to heal emotional wounds and overcome past hurts.

Fatal Recall is a Christian suspense novel with a bit of romance thrown in. I gladly recommend this novel to all of my reader friends!

I have read other books by Carol Post and always love them. This book is no exception!

This book is action packed, fast paced and kept me wondering what would happen next. Paige is a strong character without being overly much. I liked that she wasn't afraid to ask for help when she needed it. I liked Tanner, too, as he felt a sense of duty but wasn't over-bearing. Their relationship was lovely in that it didn't move along too fast or too slow and seemed very real.

When Tanner finds Paige in the woods, she has been hurt and can't remember anything, including her name or what she's doing there. The story unfolds in a way that keeps your attention. In fact, I read this book in a short time because I just couldn't put it down! We have to go with Paige through her memory loss so we have no idea what's going to happen and that really added to the suspense for me, which I love!

I also thought how the author brought faith into the book was so perfect. She does it in a believable way and it's wonderful how she shows His redemptive work in Paige. Tanner is very much against God but as he watches Paige and how she lives out her faith, we see his heart soften.

As someone who really enjoys a good mystery, this fit the bill perfectly. I was never sure what was really behind everything that was happening and there were some shocking revelations along the way. I highly recommend this book and I do hope you'll get a copy and read it for yourself. You'll enjoy it so much! I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

Fatal Recall by award-winning author Carol J. Post accelerates quickly. It roars through tense action as killers track a woman who knows too much. The killers, unaware she has amnesia, intend to kill her before she regains her memory. The story is set in the Appalachian mountains and includes white-water rafting, hiking, and some of my favorite small towns in North Carolina. In true romantic-suspense style, the chapters alternate between the heroine’s point of view and the off-duty police officer hero’s point of view. The alternating scenes allow the reader to see deep inside the characters, their reasoning, their emotions, and their expectations.

This is Post’s twelfth book. Having read her previous novels, I believe she’s developed a smooth, distinctive narrative voice. Most of her stories have been published through Harlequin’s Love Inspired Suspense imprint, which means the reader will not be subjected to vulgar language. The faith element of the story rings true as both hero and heroine grapple with their understanding of the value of faith in a dangerous, ungodly world. The struggle with faith is subtle and genuine, never preachy. This is one of the many reasons I adore Post’s writing.

I was especially impressed by how the author crafted backstories of the hero and heroine that conflict and overlap. Under less dangerous circumstances, these two people would be unlikely to meet and yet their chemistry ignites the pages. The killers were crafted as genuine people, more like the odd neighbors down the street than caricature bad guys sometimes pasted into romance novels.

A great book, Fatal Recall arrives just in time for that first summer trip to the beach.

Have you ever started to tell someone something important and your mind goes suddenly blank? Maybe you called them on the phone and got distracted while waiting for them to answer. Or maybe you walked from your office to your boss’s office to discuss several things and forgot one of them. Both have happened to me over the years. But imagine waking up in the woods with a stranger hovering over you and you not only have no clue who he is but you have no memory of anything, including who you are. Making it even worse is that someone is shooting at both of you. Wow, what would you do in a case like that? I think I can handle forgetting why I called someone. Having no memory at all would be hard to handle. Getting shot at would be terrifying. While she struggles to regain her memory, Tanner is swamped with memories he would love to forget. The pressing issue is keeping her safe until they learn who she is, who was shooting at them, and why? She has one redeeming fact in her favor. She soon realizes that she is a Christ-follower and has a strong faith. Tanner is rather antagonistic toward God because of all he has experienced. As far as he is concerned, his skills, experience, and training are the reason she is still alive. Will she survive long enough to recall who she is and find out why someone wants her dead? Read it and see what awaits around the next corner. I received a copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Fatal Recall. Carol is an awesome author. I'm sure you know that. This book is an excellent example of her work. This story is well written, action packed, and full of faith. You are going to love this book.

Police Officer Tanner Brody is on the Nantahala River on vacation when hears gun shots. Eight weeks ago his life imploded. His friend talked him into moving to Murphy N.C. He has three weeks to enjoy himself before he takes his new job. He hears a woman scream. He beaches his kayak and goes to help the woman. He finds an unconscious woman. She wakes full of fear and takes off. She is unable to remember what has happened to her. Tanner is determined to help her.

Paige Tatem wakes up in the wilderness with a strange man above her. She has lost her memory. She runs from him but it soon is obvious that he is the only one that can save her. As men attack them. Why is she a target? Can they piece together her past to save her life?

A difficult struggle through a wilderness with men doing everything they can to destroy the two of them. God has a plan for these two, a good plan and not for evil, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you. You might not be running from killers but you do have an enemy that is trying to steal, kill, and destroy you. He hates us because God loves us. Give God your heart and watch Him rescue you from the works of the devil.

What would you do if your relaxing kayak ride down the river was interrupted by a woman’s scream and gunshots? Personally, I’m such a chicken that I would probably turn that thing around and head back the way I came from. Of course Tanner Brody is too dedicated a police officer to do that, even if his new job hasn’t yet officially begun. That decision quickly puts his life on the line as he finds a young woman who doesn’t remember anything but it is evident that someone wants her dead. His protective instincts kick into high gear and one page-turning, breath-holding, suspense-filled story ensues.

I have read few novels with more twists and turns and secrets than Fatal Recall, yet somehow the author managed to pack it all within the covers of a short Love Inspired Suspense novel. Characters are well developed, especially Tanner who is the perfect hero with his strong sense of duty. I enjoyed every minute of this book from the danger and (of course) romance to the characters’ need to depend on God to see them through.

I would strongly recommend Fatal Recall to anyone who enjoys superbly crafted suspense and also appreciate a novel that can be finished in a relatively short time. Once again Carol Post has made me a happy reader.

Tanner Brody is canoeing on the Nantahala River, on the edge of the North Carolina Smokies, when he hears a gunshot, followed a scream. He searches, and finds an unconscious woman. When she wakes, she has no idea of who she is, or how she got there. And now someone is shooting at them both.

Our nameless heroine remembers nothing. Except she prays when things are bad. Then she remembers an attack. A knife. And she's holding it.
One of the criticisms of Christian fiction is that it's full of perfect people living perfect lives. Okay, that's an overstatement. But it can be hard to find a Christian novel that's dealing with mending broken people without making that the main focus of the plot.

Fatal Recall manages to address this while maintaining the focus of the plot on the mystery of who the heroine is, the suspense of who is after her, and the developing romance between her and Tanner. There is a clear but understated message that our background forms us into the adults we become—good or bad. But we don't have to stay that person. Faith in God can help us become the adults He meant us to be.

Fatal Recall is a fast read, as is typical for Love Inspired Suspense. But it manages to pack a surprising amount of plot, character, and spiritual depth in those words. Recommended for Christian romantic suspense fans. Thanks to the author for providing a free ebook for review.

Fatal Recall will grab your attention in the first couple pages and won't let go. Tanner is on the river and hears a woman scream and goes to shore when he hears her. When she regains consciousness she has no memory prior to waking up. Tanner has just moved to Murphy, NC and is to start his job as a police officer. While trying to help he finds that she's in even more trouble than he thought. Someone is trying to murder her. Enough said - read this book. Paige is not your typical heroine and there are a lot of surprises in store. This book is to be released in June from Love Inspired Suspense by Harlequin. I highly recommend this book and author.

This is the first book I've read by author Carol J. Post but definitely won't be my last. I received this as an ARC from the author with no expectations for the review. All opinions are my own. I know you will enjoy it as much as I did.

As a new author to me, Carol J. Post's newest release Fatal Recall, will not be my last!
I found myself drawn into this story from the very first page, gripping my kindle as I wondered who was the woman that screamed, who wanted her dead, what did she know that amnesia has now covered up and has her running for her life, and who would would be around the next corner?
The main characters in this story, Tanner and Page, both come from very difficult and hurtful past. Can they trust God to get them out of some very dangerous situations when people are out to end their lives? Can they trust that God has a plan for their lives no matter what they've done or what they've been through? This edge of your seat page turner is filled with lots of suspense and a good amount of romance that will keep you turning page after page to the very end!
I received a copy of this book from the author, but was not required to give a positive review. This is my honest opinion of this book.

I always jump at the chance to read a book by Carol J. Post. "Fatal Recall" is the first book in a new series set in Murphy, North Carolina. Although I didn't have anything in common with either Paige or Tanner, I felt a connection to them and wanted them to reach their happily-ever-after. The suspense was well done and kept me guessing what was going to happen. The book flowed well and I finished it in a day. There was a nice spiritual thread and it was worked throughout the story. I look forward to reading more books in this series and getting to see my new friends again.

I got a free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own and given voluntarily. No compensation was received for my review.

Breathe now, you won't get the chance later...

So, much to my surprise Fatal Recall is the first Carol J. Post book that I've read. And what an introduction! Danger, intrigue, betrayal, and some of the most spine-tingling moments! Not to mention more twists and turns than the river Tanner starts out the book kayaking on. Just when I thought I had it all figured out and the mystery had to have been solved, Carol J. Post took readers in a new and unexpected direction filled with even more danger and drama. As a reader I love to escape everyday life and into a good romantic suspense book, Fatal Recall fit the bill, a quick read, fast-paced, and just right.

The intriguing plot moves along at a good pace. The characters are well developed. Both main characters had horrible backgrounds but overcame them to become responsible adults. I liked them and was hoping for a romantic relationship to develop between them. There is a satisfying HEA. Carol Post tucks little nuggets of wisdom into the story: He couldn’t be grateful and still be angry. Because gratitude and anger never went hand in hand. I would recommend Fatal Recall to romantic suspense readers and anyone that just likes a good story.
