Whose long ears are these? A hare's long ears, of course! Little ones will love to see the close-up photography and try to guess which animal the furry, silly, or hidden ears belong to.
Short, sweet and full of animal ears! If you're on the hunt for an awesome, but simple, interactive book for young kiddos... look no further because this is the book for you! I appreciate how the book has a variety of animal ears for the kiddos to guess, with each page giving a snippet of what the animal ears look like as well as a clue. This is the perfect start to get kids interacting with you and their peers!
Double-page spreads featuring the ears of five different animals encourage youngsters to use clues from the body part with the animal on the following page. The photographs are clear and large and feature, one by one, some of nature's most adorable animals, including a zebra, a koala, a rabbit, a lion, and a fox. While it might have fun to introduce some other animals that aren't as cute as these, the choices are ideal for youngster who will surely enjoy this visual guessing game. Oh, how I wish that there had been board books like this one when I was a little one! Ah, well, I will simply pretend that I am young and enjoy them now.
I like the photographs in this book a lot. I like that it is a nonfiction title for the littlest ones. One one two page spread it shows just the ears of a specific animal and a question asking, with some specific detail, who has ..... ears like these? The next page shows the whole animal. Unfortunately, Ada doesn't love it as much a I do, although she can now show us where her ears are!
Children will be intrigued by the different animals, the colors and visual textures found in the the book Ears by Flowerpot Press. While it seems a simple enough guessing game, this book reinforces the meaning of new vocabulary words through the illustrations and parents can use the photos to reinforce discussion of body parts, colors and counting. Great for ages 18 months to 3 years.
Clean presentation and possibly an opportunity to learn how to make inferences about a couple new animals, simply from the ear detail. Koala and fox were a little tricky for me.
