Wow definitely doesn't do this book justice , but I've literally just read it in one go and couldn't stop till I had finished.

I will not give spoilers but I will say our hero did himself proud as did our heroine, though both betrayed by those they trusted most,in the end I love what came about by the end of this book and can't wait to read the next.

Another fantastic story from Leela Ash. Rhett just wants to find his place in the world. He screwed up with his wolf-pack, making stupid decisions as a young wolf. Now he is trying to survive and make it with the bears because he was kicked out of Stonybrooke. The elders request his help in being a Guardian to the Maiden for the upcoming harvest ceremony. Gael is a human who comes from a line of bear royalty is the virgin maiden who comes to the encampment. She has led a sheltered life and at 23 years old, she just wants to experience life. Her father told her what an honor it was to be the maiden and she is excited as well as nervous. Gael and Rhett are instantly drawn to one another, but he knows he has to do everything in his power to keep her safe. He can't give in to the feelings his wolf has to claim this beautiful maiden. The two get to know one another and follow the rules of the elders. As the ceremony approaches, Gael becomes uneasy with the elders. Rhett is approached by wolves from Stonybrooke who say that the bear elders are up to know good. At first he doesn't believe them, but when the day approaches, he realizes that the wolves were right. They offer to help him rescue Gael, but will they follow through? Will Rhett get to Gael in time to save her? I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

“The Shifter Protector's Virgin” is another book in the Stonybrooke shifters series. Although this novella is a bit different, I truly enjoyed it. To understand and enjoy this book, it's not necessary to have read any of the others. Rhett, a wolf shifter exiled from Stonybrooke has been appointed by the bear shifters to be guardian to the Maiden of the Harvest. Gael a beautiful human virgin has been selected to be the Maiden. Rhett must protect her virtue for a month until the ceremony. As time progresses their mutual attraction increases and Rhett and Gael find it difficult to suppress their feelings. Something sinister is going on with the elders and their plan for the ceremony. Can Rhett discover the evil plan and save Gael? The intrigue, suspense and love keep the reader involved. I definitely recommend this short exciting novella.

This series continues to improve with each addition. I found this story to be heavier in the magic/mysticism for the shifter story than others & this may not be to everyone's tastes (it was borderline for me). I found the story of the redemption of Rhett from outcast to hero to be wonderful. A good build up to the story & a satisfying finish. Could do with an edit/grammar check for consistency.

Spoiler free review this story was a must read for me because Leela has never dissapointed me with her shifter stories although this is part of a series its a standalone plenty of drama and an awesome romance I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.

Entertaining story with a mysterious and secret ceremony sure to keep you rifling through the pages to the conclusion! Wish the story was a bit longer so you can get to know they players better. Still an excellent story with a strong ending.

Another great story in this series. Full of suspense and sexual tension from the start. Finding your perfect mate because your being prepared to be a sacrifice. Great twist and the bonus stories are great plus.

More than you could want

So many good stories . I enjoyed all of them. Some short stories and some longer ones. Highly recommend this book.
