Trapped in a realm with her mortal enemy, her betrayer and without her beloved mates and guardians, Morgan must make a choice.
Does she wait for her guardians to return with an army or forgive Bunny for his betrayal? The clock ticks and the Darkness will rise unless something-or someone stops her.
The exciting conclusion to The Raven Queen's Harem!
Is it bad to say that even though I ended up really enjoying this series, I am glad it's over? Maybe I just have commitment issues? I mean this was a 6 book series.
Anywho, I was really happy with the way everything happened. I was worried about everything being able to come together within a 200 page book. Because it all seemed like there were so many points that needed to come to an end. But it was done wonderfully and I don't feel like the ending was skimped out on.
Again, super glad this is over. But I will definitely miss my guys. ):
And so we're at the end and it's so bittersweet because I've enjoyed my time with these guys and this story and don't want to leave them, but I also want to know how it will all end. It's an amazing ending though and the author has done justice to the tale she has woven. I've really enjoyed reading my way through the books and the journey we've been taken on. There have been some big shocks along the way (I'm looking at you Bunny!) But the author has explained why what has happened, happened and tied up any loose ends.
I do hope the author will revisit these characters again, and that some others will get their own story (there's one person in particular I'd love to get their own book but I won't say who in case of spoilers). I know that I will also be revisiting this series again as I really enjoyed reading all of these books. Midnight's End gets 5 out of 5 stars from me and the series as a whole also gets 5 out of 5 stars. This really is a must read series.
Rating all 6 books as 1 because they added up to about 800ish pages (19hours) combined. I listed to the full collection audiobook and the chapters were literally back to back so I have no idea when each book ended. This honestly should have been two books but I think it was a little bit of a Wattpad story to start with so they made it into books..
The overall story was a bit different from the norm which I enjoyed for the most part but the FMC erked me to no end as her personality started out okay before it started to become nothing but whiney as fuck. With that in mind and the way the author worded everything, just made it extremely childish at times. The MMC's were decent, I just wish they were more prominent throughout the story as we didn't get much relationship development with any of them, making it mostly about herself.
If you were looking for a quick easy read then go ahead but I wouldn't recommend it 🙄💀
The time has come. Win or lose. Darkness or light. The end battle has arrived. It's time for Morgan and her Raven Guards to make their final stand against the Morrigan. Morgan is with the Morrigan, Anita, and Bunny in the Otherside. She has to prepare herself for the fight against Morgan which means she must be at full strength. Forgiveness is a must but is it possible? Her other Guards were sent back to heal the sick and raise an army. Not everyone wants the Morrigan and the darkness to fail though so it's difficult to know who is ally and who is foe. Extreme measures must be taken to provide Morgan with her army.
Perfection! I could not have asked for a better conclusion to this series. This contemporary twist on the Raven Queen stayed faithful to the lore of the Morrigan while bringing it to a present-day conclusion. Every character plays an important role. Just ends for some, forgiveness, second chances, and redemptions for others. It's the ultimate story of the power of love. New characters with a chance for a future together, unrequited love finally recognized, and of course the love of a Queen and her guards. The ending of the book turned out to be the ending I never knew I needed but I couldn't imagine it any other way. Full circle. And the epilogue! It's near and dear to my heart and even more than I asked for. Perfection!
Morgan faces not just the Morrigan, but also the the chance of history repeating itself, as she battles for the fate of two worlds. The concept that forgiveness and redemption were costly but attainable for all provided a satisfying ending to this series. Fav Quote: “Thank you for being here,” I begin. “For being part of a remarkable point in history. We stopped a plague. Saved the world. Foiled an apocalypse. Does anyone know? Nope. Not really. Does it matter? Nah. We don’t need glory or recognition.” I stare at every face. My mates. My best friend and the new friends that helped us accomplish our mission. Star ratings: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - I can't stop daydreaming and telling everyone about this book. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - A great read with all the feels. I would read again. ⭐⭐⭐ - I liked the book but wouldn't it read again. ⭐⭐ - Usually in the DNF pile or I suffered until the end for whatever reason. ⭐- Just no.
I really hope that there will be more ravens guard! Finally the Darkness goes down in a blaze of light! Was exciting to see what finally transpired with Bunny and that he could be trusted all along. Even though I did want to see the Morrigan killed ,I supposed filling her with light and love works to. The way the six immortals are be spelled by Hidi makes me wonder if there could be a RH stories for them in the future. It would be awesome to see if they could handle the valkery. LOVED that Morgan possess the power and magic to fully heal Bunny's arm and give the other Ravens back their raven forms. Please tell me there will be baby ravens? I definitely recommend this whole series !
Audiobook DNF- I just couldn’t. The first couple were okay enough and the next few I only finished because I used an audible credit for this series. But I just couldn’t take anymore of the whiney heroine who has 5 hot guys falling at her feet for no reason along with the repetitive and confusing storyline. No exaggeration, I was totally lost for about 85% of the story. For a series that is so short, one would think the plot would be solid but no. Nothing made sense, including the “explanations”. This is just a hard no
I loved this series, but this installment only gets a 1. The resolution with Bunny was crock and a cop out on the part of the author. She goes from not wanting to have sex with him, to having no choice, to having perfect understanding and forgiveness for him as she orgasms and became a goddess? That's taking the magical healing cock trope to far. And then, of course, they have trust and a good relationship again with no hard work. Please, it seriously killed the book for me,
Midnight's End is the final installment in this paranormal reverse harem (RH) series, and it is a fitting one. It stayed true to the rest of the series and resolved all of the outstanding issues. If I wrote about the things I liked best it would spoil it so I won't (but trust me, there was a LOT I liked in this last book).
For the series overall I wish it had been a touch more comprehensive (more along the lines of this author's The Death Fields series, which I found after starting this series and ended up liking more despite my love for RH) but I really liked all of the heroes in this one, and wouldn't mind reading a short story revisiting them every now and again if the author has a mind to write some.
Although I am sad this is the last installment of the Raven Queen series, it was a great ending. The war is on, and Morgan has to come to terms with Bunny and figure out how to win the war over darkness. I like that everyone plays a part - the guys, Hildi, Nevis, the Shaman, and even a surprising helper :) Morgan has come a long way and she is such a fierce MC now.
PS —- I really hope sometime we get to see more about Hildi and the Legion :)
I was NOT expecting that ending!! SO freaking good, I'm sad that it's come to end because I have fallen in love with this series! The characters are fantastic, the magic and action of it all, the men and the steamy sexy times mixed in. The creativity and imagination written into this series is absolutely amazing, this is just another great example of why we all love Angel Lawson and her fantastic books!
Readers did an excellent job telling the story!! There were times I wanted to literally crawl into the book and wring the main character’s neck for being so stupid about things but in the end she learned and she grew along with her five raven warriors. All of these books kept you glued and interested and just waiting to find out what would happen next in the battle of good versus evil! I don’t think I’ve read anything from this author before but I do plan on it in the future!!
I'm so sad that this story is over. I'm going to miss my ravens. This story wrapped up perfectly and I was delightfully surprised by the turn of events. I was absolutely not expecting it. This series gave me all the feels and after I started I couldn't put it down. I was even able to ignore the few grammatical errors because I was so wrapped up in the story. I absolutely recommend these books!
1 Star = DNF. 2 Star = Finished. Didn’t really enjoy. 3 Star = Finished. Story was neither good nor bad. 3.5 Star = Finished. Story was good. Will maybe pick up next in series if there is one. 4 Star = Finished. Enjoyed story & will definitely pick up next in the series! 5 Star = Bloody Loved it! ♥
This is the final installment in the reverse harem series. I am sad this series is over but it ended perfectly. All the questions I had throughout the series were answered. The ending was epic. I can't wait to read more books from this author.
Wow! What an ending! I was nervous about finishing this ...maybe because of what would happen or maybe because I didn't want the story to end. Glad I finally read it! What an amazing way to end this story.
This is an amazing series. As soon as I read the first book I didn't stop reading until I completed the series in just a couple of days. I highly recommend it. Each book is short but straight to the point.
A really strong ending to the series, we get a HEA and more things back in this last in the series. I can see the author continuing with some of the other characters, and it's one of those series, you might see come back time and again.
Lawson finally got the names right for aspect The Morrigan. This was an epic conclusion to a powerful story. A beautiful family and a fascinating extended family. I especially like the Valkire and her girlfirend story arch.
This book has a good beginning, great middle, and the sappy ending we all want. There were a few grammatical errors, but no biggie. I do want more about the Legion and the Valkyrie though!!!!
