Spanier writes about Chess with all the enthuasism that the great game is capable of imbuing, but some of his thoughts and views I find a little bizzare,and dated. For instance his whole section on Women in Chess reads like its dated greatly.
Still I enjoyed it and if you like Chess - this book is an entertaining tour through one mans views on the game with some intersting and entertaining anectdotes thrown in.
