My book encapsulates the journey of a young girl growing up in a small town with an abusive father. Her story is shared through journal entries as written years ago detailing some of her childhood memories of actual incidents of the abuse as well as the family dynamics not only within the household but also within the small community. The book also takes you through the horrific encounter of being gang raped in my own home and living to tell about it. Never underestimate the power of love by friends and family for within them it is possible to find your courage to speak the horrible truths behind closed doors.
Gracie, from Suffolk, had a happy childhood, growing up by the sea with a loving and supportive family. But when she was 11 her life turned upside down after a near-fatal car accident left her with a severe brain injury.
Gracie experienced post-trauma amnesia and had to begin again building back her memories to piece together her childhood.
Although this was such challenging part of her life she has turned it all around by writing happy and positive children's picture books which encourage children that they are loved just the way they are.
Through the sales of her books and positive message she wants to help street kids and kids that have been involved in head injuries and bless them through their lives in anyway she can.
