This is a great hardbound (coffee table like) book, which could adorn the many multitudes of the South-Indian-cafes in India or outside.

Serious connineours of South-Indian cuisines, looking for detailed stories of vintage, authentic, grand-mom's kind of recipes may not be fully satiated. (For that there are numerous other books)

Grab this great new book (published in 2018) for going through the glossy pages of Dosas & the colorful pictures of the ingredients & the fusion new Dosas.

I would say this is a collectors kind of book, which would also make a great gift for south Indian food lovers.

Kudos to the American based author/food-truck chefs to create this cute, nice book. May their tribe prosper!

Its like a small gem. To read & enjoy & to get nostalgic about Dosas.

Folks looking for extensive historical origins of Dosa & how its currently consumed in greater-current-South-India may have to look for additional books.

This book was okay for a book on a cuisine in another culture. I don't believe I have ever had dosas and they sound delicious. The pictures were nice, but there is very little variety in this book and there is only one real recipe for dosas, which is disappointing based on the title. I really thought there would be more of actual Indian dosas from across India and street food of India, not Indians who live in the US and run a US Indian food truck.

Idlis and dosas are a bit complicated as everything in the fermented world is initially. I bought this book about 2 plus years ago and am only now working on trying out idlis and dosas. But I do have to say I was working far too much to have time to do food experimentation. After a change of jobs, I can now do this!

I've only worked so far with the idli part of things and it was amazing! Results are awesome! To also work with dosa.

This book is gorgeous and I love dosas, but let's be real: the best way to have a dosa is to go to that place with the yellow sign in Mysore that has one thing, Mysore dosa, and eat three in a row while sitting on a stool crammed in a tiny little shop. And they will be amazing. But that's not possible right now. So this book has a wonderful collection of amazing recipes for one of my favorite eats.

All of these recipes sound amazing.
I was hoping that a book devoted to dosa would make dosa sound less intimidating to cook.
Sadly, they still sound really complicated.
I want to eat all of these foods, though, so we'll see.

I was hoping for a variety of dosa shells and the book fell flat in that regard.
I imagine people looking for different dosa toppings would love this book

I thought it will have varieties of dosa but it has the standard dosa with toppings.
